Situé au cœur du centre-ville de Carmel, ce chalet est à quelques pas de tous les grands restaurants, galeries et salles de dégustation, et à quelques portes de là où Dylan Thomas, Robinson Jeffers et Henry Miller ont tenu des salons en ville avec d'autres célébrités pendant les premiers jours de la scène artistique du Carmel. Cette maison 2BR / 2BA a été entièrement mise à jour avec des équipements modernes tout en conservant l'authenticité et le caractère de la maison d'origine, y compris des planchers de planches de pin, une cheminée en pierre Carmel et des fenêtres en verre ondulées.
Chaque chambre a un luxueux lit king oriental avec des draps en coton égyptien de 1200 fils au pouce, une housse de couette en lin belge et des taies d'oreiller. Tout est haut de gamme. Chacun des lits king-size peut être converti en deux lits jumeaux XL séparés si nécessaire.

This property is fabulous. It has a quiet comfortable feel. with a mix it's glorious history, and the comforts of modern-day conveniences. The location is with-in walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beach. Barry's hospitality exceeded our expectations. Add in the special surprise treats that showed up from time to time, and our stay couldn't have been any better. We'll be back.

This cottage was, hands down, the best rental experience we have ever had. The cottage felt like our own, warm and inviting. Barry was the ultimate host. This cottage was perfectly located while still feeling isolated from town at the same time. We absolutely loved it and it was a perfect place for our home base. Thanks Barry!!

After a difficult year of medical challenges, my wife and I choose to spend our vacation in the Lavender Cottage in Carmel by the Sea and it was an absolutely fantastic decision. The cottage is exactly as advertised and the reviews of Barry (the owner) were spot on. All the little things Barry did to make our stay comfortable were amazing and made our vacation memorable. The cottage and property were outstanding, the location is hard to beat and Carmel is now one of our favorite places to visit. We cannot more strongly recommend the Lavender Cottage to anyone looking for the "white glove" treatment - thanks for everything Barry.

This was our first visit to Carmel. We loved the area , and location of the cottage. you can walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. Barry was a wonderful host. Very communicative, and has so many lovely touches to make your stay memorable and comfortable. The bedding was SO comfy! The area has so much to offer with Big Sur close by and so much more. We loved it so much, we rebooked another trip!

We had the best time at this most adorable cottage! It was perfectly appointed and so incredibly comfortable and cozy. We loved everything about it from the delightful gardens and peaceful neighborhood (in an incredible location), to the beautifully decorated interior and comfort of the home. It was immaculate. Barry was lovely: very thoughtful and communicative- making sure we were settled well and had everything we needed. What a perfect getaway! We can’t wait to return!

We loved our week in Carmel at this beautiful cozy cottage. We've stayed in Carmel for many, many years and this is now one of our favorite places to stay. Very close to everything but completely private and quiet. Barry was the perfect host and went above and beyond to make our week so enjoyable.

Our family had the most wonderful time in at this cottage in Carmel. Barry was an excellent host and made sure all of our needs were met. The kids just loved staying here and were constantly entertained by this place’s charm. I can’t think of anything that would have improved our stay. We wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in the future. Thank you for a trip we’ll never forget!

I loved staying in this gorgeous Carmel cottage. Barry couldn't have been more helpful in every aspect and the many thoughful details he's included within the cottage, made for a fantastic stay. He really has thought of everyting to enhance one's stay. I would highly recommend and hope to be able to visit again next year!

We had a great time staying at Barry’s beautiful home. He was very helpful and was a great host. The home was beautiful and really close to Ocean. We absolutely would stay again and highly recommend the property.

the location cannot be beat, easy walking access to town and beaches. We were there a week and will be back. Barry went out of his way to accommodate all our needs. Also we did several of his suggestions of things to do in Carmel and they were some of our highlights ie Refuge and sea kayaking in Monterey

We had a lovely stay. The house has many little generous touches that elevate your stay. Luxurious linens and coveted off street parking area are some highlights. Charming Carmel garden and deck for lounging, eating dinner, make this a little corner of paradise.

Our stay in Barry's cottage was outstanding. Barry's expertise as a host was demonstrated in many ways that included his availability and remembering my birthday. He definitely prioritizes the needs and wants of his guests. The cottage is very clean, lots of natural light, well kept outside seating, and a sweet porch. There are many personal touches he offers such as a Carmel postcard pack with fish stamps! How cute is that! Bring your friends' addresses. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms are quiet and efficient. The laundry room is just outside the door. There is a folding luggage rack under the bed, lots of hangers, amazon music, treats in the fridge. The location was ideal for us. Easy walk to the beautiful beach. Fabulous bakeries and restaurants a short walk away. We loved staying here. Book it now!

I am tempted to give a bad review so more people don’t start staying here, but I just can’t. This cottage is too perfect! From the wonderful host to the beautiful gardens and all of the house in between, there is nothing wrong with this place and everything right.
I have never stayed in a more well-stocked home. We were able to cook (and eat) a Christmas dinner for four using just his dishes and cooking pans and utensils.
This is not a rental house, it is a home, in the absolute best possible sense of the word. Barry communicated with us all through the process and was just fantastic. He is a special person and has created a home that is peaceful and welcoming.

My husband and I just returned from a terrific week in Carmel! We loved our small cozy cottage. It was comfortable, lovely and in a great location. I walked through town and along the beach every morning. Barry was fabulous. So helpful when we had questions. Wine and cheese when we arrived and chocolate cookies on our final night... We will return!!!

It's hard to know where to start. This beautiful cozy cottage is the most immaculate VRBO I have ever stayed in. Cleanliness is at the top of my list for choosing a place, and it was spotless. The location is perfect. It is only a couple short blocks to Ocean Avenue with so many great restaurants and shops.
Barry is a host extraordinaire... so gracious and generous. He goes out of his way to make you feel so welcome. We couldn't stop talking about his attention to detail and thoughtfulness. It's the only VRBO I've ever stayed where I received information in advance of things to do in the area as well as a list of recommended restaurants close by.
Barry, thank you so much for making our much needed getaway more perfect than I could have ever hoped for. It was like staying in a 5 star hotel, but so much better being in the comfort of your amazing cottage.
