The house is great but just a few suggestions.
They do not supply any dish cloths or dish towels.
They could use a few extra bath towels.
Drain board for kitchen.
A toaster oven would be a welcome addition.
Other that those items everything was great.

Great House, location is perfect to the beach and local grocery store. The house was big enough for all 18 guest (9 Adults & 9 kids). Perfect size pool too.

Been to OBX 14 times and this is the best rental home we have stayed at. Large, clean, beautiful home just 100 feet from beach access walkway. Pool and hot tube were both very clean as well.

With Covid 19 we did feel like you lose a day (leaving so early on Saturday). What a wonderful time! The grill had not been cleaned and there was much liquid qccumulated so we did use like we had planned. We would consider doing a two-week stay in the future, time flies :)

Great house with many master bedrooms. Well designed for our group of 10. Plenty of room. Pool and hot tub were great and short walk to the beach. Nice little game area for adults and kids.

We had been renting Spin1 (On Sail) for several years. However, a combination of deteriorating Spin1 upkeep, lacking furniture and our family outgrowing the house had us look for and finding License To Chill. It is obvious that this house has had good upkeep to flooring, decks, water heaters, etc. Having two dishwashers is definitely a plus for a large family. In general, the house is quite nice and we plan to rent it again. The main two negatives about the house is the main front steps that definitely need to be replaced and the lawn thorn/brier weeds that puncture people and dogs feet.

The only downside to this property (and reason for the lower rating) is related to the over abundance of pet hair. I can understand that there would be some pet hair to deal with—since it is a pet friendly rental, but what we found seemed extreme. We have been in other pet friendly rentals before and have never seen it this bad. We swept multiple times (starting the evening we arrived). Since there is an extra pet fee I would assume that it would go towards extra cleaning (at least a deep cleaning once a month during peak rental season). I think the one person cleaning staff that was there the day we arrived did as good as she could have considering she was just one person and had limited time. Everything thing else about the house was great (including beach access and the rental agency).

Overall, the house was nice and met our families needs. However, there were a few things that could be updated in order to make the week much better. The main issue was the kitchen utensils. There were only a few skillets and most of them were older skillets that had teflon flakes coming off of them.

The location of this home is awesome! It has plenty of room for our party of 20! However, we were sadly disappointed by all the items throughout the home that were in disrepair. Including many things in the kitchen, mini blinds through out, decking, and various others. We stayed here 2 years ago and it seems like things have gone down hill. All and all we had a great time but it was a bit discouraging.

In a nutshell, we experienced a 2-star hotel for a 5-star price. The house in general was not thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen was dirty when we arrived. It was promptly cleaned upon request. All fixtures in the house were cheap. The shower in the master bathroom was less than cheap. There is no care in maintaining the house. Overall, it was very disappointing.

Needs a deep cleaning. Fans thick with dust, couches could be cleaned. Kitchen needs pots, broiler pan, skillet, .....I couldn't even find a spatula. The flies were a real problem. The grill was so dirty it wasn't working....they did come clean it..but lost two evenings of grilling. The pool liner should also be replaced. I was told this house will go to Twiddy next year...don't know if that is a good or bad thing.
The layout of the house was perfect for us...too bad we had the other issues. Spoke with a lady from the Shoreline and I found her nasty. She said there was no help in cleaning these houses and it was what it was. The houses were booked every week and there was no time to do any deep cleaning and since I was nearing the end of the season ...she wasn't surprised about my complaints. I told her I paid good money for this house and all she said was ...honey it's going to be 2000 dollars more next year...like I should feel lucky about the money I paid.

The house itself was fantastic, but the hot tub was not working for most of our trip. We went for Easter and paid to have the pool heated which was also not working until our 2nd to last day. We spent 5 of our 7 days dealing with maintenance. We were told we'd be compensated by the realtor, but the owner is failing to respond to their request. It's a shame as the house itself was exactly what we needed for our large family. We had planned to rent it again, but will now reconsider due to the lack of response.

Great house with thoughtful layout and spacious upstairs and downstairs. Very well kept with good amenities, no deferred maintenance, and great aesthetics. Perfect location, a short walk to the beach. The location in Ocean Sands South is a gem, lack of though streets means less vehicle traffic and beach crowds than Whalehead.

We had a wonderful time, but we did have some issues, but the property management staff were very helpful and worked with us and fixed our issues. It was our first time at OBX but would definitely recommend this property, it was a beautiful house and a great location.

The house was very nice, but not cleaned very well. Empty chip bag behind nightstand. Sand in pool and Hot tub when we arrived. (Maintenance did come and clean it). We had to keep adding water to the Hot tub because it leaked.
A few minor issues, but overall we had a great time and would stay here again.

Nice House With Room for Improvement
You may not want to post this, but please accept as constructive criticism. Elevator stuck & opened between floors several times. 3rd fl bedroom sheets & drawers sandy. Spread greasy & sandy. Iron leaks. We were instructed to vacuum before checkout–really?–made me more aware how dirty it was, including pet hair (we have no pets). Please contact renters if service person is to enter home–suddenly strangers were in the house. Loved large dining table & couch. Some TV remotes hard to operate, especially in living room. Very hard to operate combination door lock. Very nice people in rental office. New paint job & deck nice, but LOTS of nails & screws around property for little feet to step on & tires to go flat. Bunks with full lower bed don’t feel safe as they need tightening.

Great stay, perfect location!
The house was great for our group (4 families). The walk to the beach was quick, pool was perfect and kitchen was easy to use! The ride to Corolla on bikes wasn’t bad - our young kids could do it!
Only issue was the baby cams couldn’t connect as the internet signal wasn’t super strong. Cleaners could definitely do a little bit more work on floors too but nothing terribly untidy upon arrival.

This was our second year staying in this house and it was even better the 2nd time around! We love that each bedroom has its own bathroom and all 12 of us (plus 2 babies) can comfortably fit. There was lots of room for everyone to hang out. We were appreciative of the new things this year (new grill, pool chairs, tv, and especially the full size fridge on the bottom floor!) Everything was very clean and well taken care of. We paid to have the pool heated which was well worth it to have an 80 degree pool in early April. From the top floor you can catch glimpses of the ocean through some other houses, and it is a super quick walk to the beach. Laura at Shoreline was very helpful when we needed help getting connected to the house's wi-fi. Also, towards the end of the week we smelled a little propane leak out by the pool and they sent someone out immediately to check on it. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Time
The place was great. Everyone got their own bedroom and bathroom so there wasn't a need to share the bathroom. Short walk to the public access where the beach is located. We definitely made use of the pool daily along with the hot tub. Had a great time every morning watching the sunrise and having coffee on the top deck. Short distance to Harris Teeter for food shopping instead of heading more north to Food Lion. Overall it was a great return back to OBX (last time was 9 years ago) and had lots of laughs and memories.

Great Stay
The house was great and the family had more than enough room. My only critique would be that the kitchen was missing anything that could be put in the oven other than a muffin tin - so if you need to bake anything or keep anything warm, bring your supplies or pick up disposables at the grocery.

We had 4 family’s together during our April vacation! We had the pool heated which was the best idea for enjoyable swim time daily with kids and adults who hate cold water! Lol The ocean is so close! A perfect location and amazing house!!

We had to leave after 2 days due to the approaching hurricane. We liked the house and location. However, the house was not cleaned properly before we arrived. When we arrived, the chairs were on the dining room table and breakfast bar. When we took them down, they left sand or dust on the table and breakfast bar. The kitchen counters were dirty. There was pancake batter on the front of the kitchen cabinets. There were ants in the kitchen. The freezer door had been left ajar and was full of frost. Coffee and moldy grounds left in the coffee maker. Throw rugs on the pool fence, should have been returned to the 1st and 3rd floor. Loose boards on the 3rd floor deck. There were 5 trash barrels. 3 by the road had some trash still in them. 2 by the house had trash. one was full and had flies. And to top it off we didn't get a welcome bag. We didn't buy the insurance. So, it cost us almost $4000 to stay 2 nights due to mandatory evacuation and spent a good part of it cleaning.

The refrigerators were dirty inside and out, sheets were missing and some beds were not made, the outside shower was full of sand, and just a general appearence of not being cleaned well (sand on dresser). The noon check in was very nice. We arrived then, but the house wasn’t ready until 6:15pm with no explanation from the rental co.The house was nicely furnished and decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked. Gas grill was convenient. The pool & hot tub area was big enough to fit everybody. Vay k gear was delivered as promised. Issues; pool lights that didn’t work were fixed the same day we called and ants in the kitchen.This issue was not resolved &we had to use our own spray. Be aware that bath mats and kitchen towels were not provided,so add them to your list. Best part about this house is the location, location, location! So close to the beach access,with lots of room at the beach. I would recommend this house to rent, as we would definitely stay here again!

The property was exactly as described. The distance to the beach was minimal and, due to the small children we had with us, maybe better than oceanfront. The grocery store was an easy bike ride up the road. The pool was great. We spent a lot of time gathered there. Plenty of chairs were provided but no umbrellas - so the canopy we brought provided much needed shade. I was pleased by how well equipped the kitchen was - plenty of plates, glasses, plastic cups, utensils and the grill functioned very well. The beds were comfortable. The house was clean. Shoreline OBX was very easy to work with.

Great location, close to Harris Teeter, ABC store, and beach. House was in great condition, very clean, and had the amenities listed. Can't imagine the upkeep needed on a house on the ocean. You can't reasonably expect everything to be perfect but for a house at the ocean with different guests and possibly pets every week License to Chill is awesome
