This was the perfect vacation location--on the edge of town, very close to the beach and walking distance to everything. Never used a car the whole week!

My friends and I rented out this property to enjoy South Haven after a long winter spent apart due to the pandemic. The property was clean and spacious, the proprietor professional, and the location perfect. All in all, we had a wonderful time and hope to return in the future!

This property was spacious. There were some aesthetic issues (e.g. closet door handles were broken) but the important items were functional. The location was the greatest feature -- only ~1 block from the main street (Phoenix). Overall a nice stay.

We stayed here for a week while visiting with family in town. The location is just a block from the main drag and walkable to the beach. The house had plenty of room for my husband, daughter, myself and our dog.

We had a bit of problems with the air conditioner, but the owners resolved it quickly. It was a perfect getaway for our family (adult children and their spouses and children)

Owners were super responsive and friendly, and the house was very spacious. Master on main floor was a nice touch as well. Location is ok...backs up to an apartment building so didn’t love that, but overall, a really good place to stay!

Our family of four had a wonderful time staying here. We enjoyed walking 2 blocks to downtown, and just a few blocks to the beach.

Our girls weekend in South Haven was really enjoyable. Having a place within walking distance from town and all the restaurants was so wonderful. It was nice not to have to drive everywhere. The house itself offered so many rooms and multiple areas to gather as a group. The best was when we had questions the management/ owner was easy to reach and super helpful.

Nothing less nothing more to say: perfect location, walking distance to everything, beach just 5 minutes walk( we loved watching sunsets and sunrises), about 10 minutes walk to kids corner,you can enjoy south haven downtown at any time of the day and night😉� House is big enough so everyone can find their spot😉� we willl be back soon

The property worked well for our family. We like heading into town and this property was a great spot.

This is a great property. You can't beat the location, and there was a lot of room for everyone to spread out. The owner Peggy was very responsive and easy to communicate with, even gave us a heads up about something that was broken, and taken care of, before we got there. It didn't interfere with our stay or ability to enjoy the house in any way. We loved that the deck wrapped around from the side to the front - only wish it could have been a little wider - but we enjoyed breakfast out there in the mornings, and grilling hot dogs and brats in the evening. Great place to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather we had. The furniture inside the house was comfortable. Plenty of seating throughout for everyone. Plenty of bath towels, plenty of pillows and blankets for sleeping. The mattress in the master bedroom did have a permanent dip on one side, but worked ok for a single person to sleep on. Might need to get that replaced soon though. Over all, it was perfect for us, and we'd rent again, if it's available when we plan our next trip. Thank you Peggy for sharing your house with us - we had a wonderful long weekend getaway!

We had a very pleasant stay in April. The house was large enough to accommodate myself and 3 siblings for five nights. All of the basic amenities were available to us and Peggy always answered promptly when questions arose. We were one block from town! So, we were able to shop, have drinks, and eat at Taste, Clementine’s, and Captain Nemo’s - all within walking distance! We can’t wait to return!

Great stay! Location can not be beat I had no problem finding everything I needed in the kitchen! We were surprised that each bathroom had 4 rolls of toilet paper and kitchen had 2 rolls of paper towel... I know that sounds silly to be excited over....but nothing breaks up a vacation like having to run to the store for a roll of toilet paper! The TVs (so many of them) were great! Watched movies with the smart TV The house is older but we all (all 40-somethings) loved the house as we all at one point have lived in great old houses with character) The decor is lovely and brings life to the house! It is true there are only 2 parking spots in the driveway....but we had absolutely no problem finding street parking! We will most definitely stay again and had no complaints whatsoever!! And the hosts were very responsive to any question! What a breeze!!! Another HUGE bonus was the 11am checkout time versus the usual 10am check out time ones usually sees. As a mom....that extra hour to wake your kid up and feed them breakfast is so valuable! Last....I wonder if the grassy knoll next to the house is owned by this house? Because the only thing that could make this place even better would be an outdoor firepit to hang out and relax around at night (but I don’t know if there is a city ordinance against that or not?). Just seemed like the perfect sized grassy knoll to incorporate that

The house was great and spacious. We had a large group of girls and it was great being a few blocks away from everything. The owners were very responsive when I had a question, and were very gracious hosts.

This was one of the smoothest rental experiences we have had. The owners were super responsive and friendly from the minute we put in the request. The house was exactly as described. Great location - steps from downtown and a nice little walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

South Haven is a good time in Winter too! Most shops were open all weekend and enjoyed the outdoor skating rink just a few blocks away. The house was the perfect size for our family and a great location. Would love to try in the Summer too. Thank you

This was a wonderful place for our weekend. Absolutely a skip and a hop from shopping on Phoenix street and eateries! Having enough bedrooms and baths was so convenient. Having nice bath towels and comfortable beds was a definite plus! Enjoyed sitting around a good sized table for eating and chatting and living room was cozy and inviting. We will definitely be booking here for our next South Haven trip!

The location is perfect. About a 10 minute walk to the beach and about a 25 second walk to downtown. The house was clean. The owners were very easy to communicate with and their response time was quick. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

We had a great time in South Haven and a short drive to Holland, Mi. The house is warm and inviting! The location is in a perfect area to walk to town and the beach. We visited as many of the stores that we could and really enjoyed our times on the beach and boardwalk to the lighthouse. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice relaxing way to enjoy life!’

The Herrington beach house is in a great location in the center of town and close to the beach. Peggy and Tom were helpful and quick to respond when we needed assistance. The spacious living room, dining room, and bedrooms gave our family of 5 plenty of space to relax and enjoy.

This home is in a great location next to town and the beach. We were able to walk to everything. Bedrooms were large and the home had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!
