La maison du moulin à vent se compose de deux maisons de tour de moulin à vent séparées qui partagent la cour commune, le patio, le green, le bain à remous, 2 douches extérieures et un grand porche avec barbecue intégré et foyer qui surplombe le ruisseau Soquel. Cette configuration est idéale pour les familles ou les amis proches avec des enfants. Le rez-de-chaussée de la maison arrière a une cuisine magnifiquement rénovée, un salon, une salle de bain complète et la 1ère chambre qui dispose d'un lit Queen Murphy construit sur mesure. Les escaliers extérieurs menant à la tour Silo vous mènent à un grand porche avec un coin salon confortable et à la 2ème chambre avec lit queen et demi-bain (vue donnant sur le ruisseau et le chevalet). Ensuite, jusqu'à la partie la plus haute du Silo et la 3ème chambre. Cette chambre est comme une escapade de Peter Pan! Lit superposé personnalisé pour 3 enfants, TV écran plat et vue du haut!

This was my second time renting this place with a group of friends. It's such a special property! Super duper close to town, so couldn't be more convenient. The owners think of everything on the property. No detail is too small. Communication with the property manager is a joy! Checking in was a breeze.
The place is quirky so don't expect a lot of privacy in most of the sleeping quarters, but we knew that going in, so it's all just fun times!
Comfy beds, plenty of linens, kayaks, paddle-boards, great hot tub, great grill, the list goes on. I highly recommend renting this property! And I hope I am fortunate enough to stay a third time sometime!!

Our family of 10 stayed her for 4 nights and we had a wonderful time in Capitola! We had three children and 7 adults. The house is decorated with beautiful tile and art. We were a couple of minutes from the village and the beach. Having the lagoon right there was great for the paddle boarders and kayakers. The hot tub was wonderful and the putting green was fun for the kids. The two quirky houses were great! The garden with the table was big enough for all of us to be able to eat together outside. I can't think of anything that would have made the house better. It was very well appointed with pots, dishes and refrigerators. Thanks for letting us stay there! Also Rose was very helpful. We hope to stay there again sometime.

Our group of 9 women couldn't have been happier at this fun, spacious and historic home on the water! Views from every room, comfy beds, plenty of outdoor space, cozy living spaces indoors...and all steps away from the best the village has to offer. We were regulars at Gayle's Bakery, the beach and Pizza my Heart. A trip to Shadowbrook is a must - just across the water! Thank you again!

We just spent 4 nights here and it was amazing. The house is really cool and fun and everyone had fun exploring the rooms and amenities. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us! We loved that we could walk into town in 5 minutes, but also sit out on our deck and grill and roast marshmallows. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to have fun in Capitola or Santa Cruz. It was an easy drive to lots of fun places including West Cliff where we watched surfers, USC where we went to a wedding, and even the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We really hope that we can go back there again in the not too distant future.

We've stayed at the Windmill house a few times now and each time the property seems better and better. The amenities are perfect for carving out your own resort like experience in the heart of Capitola and when you're ready to hit the beach or restaurants, everything is just a short walk away. Rose, the property manager, is always there to help with any questions and make you feel right at home.

Eclectic Property
We loved everything about our trip to Capitola and this amazing home. The owners have thought of everything and provided so many amenities that most short stays overlook. So many great reasons we’d stay here again: Getting up in the morning, walking less than five minutes to the local coffee shop and bringing it back to sit on the deck was a daily treat, jumping in our kayaks and the provided SUP for some exercise or a leisure paddle down the creek, having a glass of wine by the fire, or hanging in the hot tub while the kids played ping pong, and my favorite, the outside showers!

Because we had lots of teen cousins, the windmill part of the house was actually perfect for them, with each kid staying in one of the twin beds! The house was great. It was perfect for our family. The grandchildren loved the house and all the little funky touches that made it a fun “adventure” house. Staying in the Windmill and Silo houses is absolutely fun! It is whimsical - definitely one of a kind! Great location walking distance to town, restaurants, beach and shops. We loved the dock and enjoyed the boats, games and hot tub! Very clean, two well stocked kitchens. A very special property to enjoy with your family and friends.

Great way to hang with the new inlaws
Our daughter got married to a great guy from England. We are from Sacramento and the temperatures were going to be triple digit so we thought a family honeymoon in Capitola would keep our new British family from melting.
They loved the area, of course, and really liked that everyone passing the property stopped and commented on how beautiful it was. We really were wowed by the fanciful interior and decorating accents that really makes the property a work of art. The property is really two buildings but they integrate into a single experience which was great for our party of 9 adults. The property is great for adults and older kids but i think if we had brought our 2 year old grand kids, they would have challenged us a bit since each sleeping area is on a different floor. The layout is very unique and fun, but also hard to comprehend, so a call to the property manager would be a good idea to make sure it fits your needs. For us it really knocked it out of the park. We were right in Capitola at the best location to reach beach and businesses.

Spectacular home in a fun and active neighborhood!
This home is unique and in a fun location for a large gathering of people. We go away once every couple of years with our large family, including our grandchildren and everyone loved this home. A comment I heard several times was, "Wow, we hit a home run!" Just a few houses in from the busy and crowded Capitola Village area, this home is located on the quiet riverfront. Easy waking to get a cup of coffee, or an ice cream cone, wine tasting, the beach or the corner market. We used all the amenities available at this home and all ages were very entertained. Everyone in our family would like to return. We all had a fabulous time!
If you are looking for a large rental with an ideal location and lots to do, you have found it!
