Profitez de notre maison joliment rénovée et décorée sur le lac Érié. Belle propriété privée avec 150 'du secteur riverain. Profitez d'une vue sur le lac depuis chaque pièce de la maison. Le pont a été récemment rénové et agrandi. Il donne maintenant sur le magnifique lac et vous fait sentir comme si vous étiez allongé sur le pont d'un navire. La propriété est dans un quartier paisible et isolé de Leamington rural dans un cadre naturel entouré par les arbres à droite sur le magnifique lac Érié. Imaginez-vous en train de manger dans la salle à manger, de vous détendre dans le salon ou de vous asseoir sur la terrasse tout en surplombant le vaste et immaculé lac Erié. Profitez de se réveiller à un lever de soleil magnifique sur le lac ou endormir les vagues et le mouvement de l'eau. Si vous avez besoin d'un endroit pour se détendre ou tout simplement un endroit pour se reposer tout en visitant Leamington et les zones environnantes. Ceci est votre place.

We were blown away by the views, seclusion, and impressive patio and grounds at the cottage. We had a relaxing five days, the cottage was clean and lovely and had all the amenities you’d expect to find at your home. We ate every meal on the patio overlooking the lake and woke up early most mornings to enjoy the spectacular view of the sun rising over the lake. Looking forward to our next visit!

Clean, superb location, quiet, view of the lake is spectacular. Host is quick to respond to any queries. This was our fourth visit in the last five years and we plan on returning.

We had a terrific week at the ‘Cottage by the Shore’. It is a beautiful, bright, spacious and incredibly clean home. The cottage is well equipped and tastefully furnished. What stood out for us was how comfortable the beds and sofas were, so sleeping and relaxing at the cottage was a delight. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the large deck, reading and admiring the view, and enjoying many of our meals outdoors. Previous reviews mentioned the excessive amount of bugs and spiders on the deck. This was not our experience at all, other than the few bugs that one should expect being in a cottage by a lake! The cottage is private, the surrounding are quiet, and the garden area is beautifully maintained. One thing to mention is that the cottage is about a 20 minute drive to town so make sure you have all of your supplies and groceries so you don’t have to keep ‘popping out’ for stuff! Our host, Maria, was incredibly supportive and a pleasure to deal with. This is a very special place and we hope to return some time in the future.

Clean place with a great view of Lake Erie. Well equipped kitchen; bbq on a big deck. Quiet. Within 15 minutes of the entrance to Pelee National Park by car and 10-15 minutes to Leamington (for grocery stores, etc.). A 5 minute walk to Hillman Marsh Beach et a few minutes more for the conservation area.

We had a wonderful relaxing time. Maria’s place is spotless and very comfortable. We were amazed at the moon and stars and the sunrise!

View of Lake Eire was outstanding...exactly as promised. Beach not a 5 to 10 minute walk around the corner. We did not originally realize that there was no wi fi at the cottage when we booked. Luckily. Maria pointed this out to us in our final confirmation so we came prepared...had printed out some local maps and local restaurant info before we arrived. Loved the location close to Point Pelee National Park and Hillman marsh.Maybe 10 15 minute drive into Leamington. Would definitely rebook.

Neat, tidy and well equipped cottage with large deck right on the water. We had fantastic weather and sitting on the deck was the best part. Deck is quite private as well, which was an added bonus. Owner was highly responsive and very friendly. Great stay and highly recommended.

If you are thinking of renting this location, DO NOT HESITATE!! The property is better than the owner's description and photos. We have rented this property three times in the past four years, and we will be renting again. Clean, clean, clean. The view of the lake is incredible and the area is very peaceful. Extremely good communication with the owner. I would give a six star rating if I could.

A quiet, beautiful property where you can sit on the deck listening to the waves gently lapping against the rocks and enjoy a constant breeze from the lake. The interior was immaculate and nicely set up. The host was very accessible and helpful. We look forward to returning. Thank you.

Without a doubt.. total relaxation!
Perfect choice spending our honeymoon sitting on the massive deck, enjoying a few drinks while listening to the waves hitting the rocks.

Where do I start? The check in process was well organized. We were welcomed with a note from the owners that gave it that personal touch. It is a beautiful and bright cottage with the most incredible views from so many windows. I have stayed in a lot of cottages, and this is the first one that I could start enjoying my vacation right away. The cottage was so clean and had all of the essentials. The panoramic view of the water made the sunrises the highlight of my day. Relaxing around a fire was a great way to end the day. We had access to so many nearby trails and beaches. Pelee Provincial Park is a must. The Marsh Boardwalk is one of a kind. I would highly recommend visiting The Cottage By The Shore. I was sad to leave but l am already looking forward to our next visit.

Absolutely beautiful
My wife and I stayed here June 15-June 20 for our 5th year anniversary and the property was amazing. Fantastic deck with views of the water. Grocery store was only 15 mins away. Beds were comfortable, the A/C was very much appreciated, cabinets well stocked and the owner was very gracious and quick to respond. What we really appreciated was we didnt have to haul away our garbage and recycling. Also the the cleaning fee was very reasonable and not having a LONG list of things to do at checkout like a lot of properties do these days, even with a cleaning fee.
Location was very private and the sound of the waves was so wonderful at night. We would bring our kids out but teenagers wouldn't appreciate no wifi.

Relaxing Stay By the Lake
We had a wonderful stay at Maria’s cottage. It was sparkling clean, well equipped, plenty of room to put our things, decorated to a high standard, and the view was awesome. She was very responsive when we had a question. One day of our stay was a stormy rainy day and we enjoyed the crashing waves from the peace of our windows. There was even a lovely electric fireplace (heatless) that added a cozy ambiance to the day. A perfect place for us to unwind and enjoy a little getaway. We hope to go back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was so clean and decorated nicely. The deck is so huge! We loved sitting out there and entertaining our friends who live nearby. But the view, is just amazing! Loved our time there.

Wonderful getaway
We stayed at this cottage for 4 nights and it was the absolute highlight of our year. The view of the lake was breathtaking, and it was refreshing to have so much outdoor space and privacy! The cottage was very clean and cozy, and everything was as described. This peaceful, quaint getaway was perfect for our family. A special thanks to Maria for being such a kind and gracious host. My family and I cannot wait to go back!

Very relaxing stay
Great views , huge lot, lots of privacy. I would only rent in fall if you are looking to go in water. The near by beach is not the best. The host was great and responded fast when contacted. I would go back for sure. You are near a hunting area and you hear alot of gunshots. It is great sitting on deck listening to the waves. The area has plenty of nice places to walk. The cost of rental is right in line with other places if not a better deal.

Beautiful Private Retreat
This is a lovely private cottage right on the lake with incredible views. Even though the weather was terrible (three solid days of pouring rain), the kitchen is well equipped for creating full meals and the views of the stormy weather on the lake were spectacular! It is harder to find and, very much appreciated, to rent a place that does not allow pets - - super clean. Thank you!

Perfect spot
This is the second time in two years we have rented this cottage. FABULOUS!! The view from inside the home and from the deck overlooking the lake is stunning. Enjoy the sunrise witb a coffee, or the sunset with a nightcap. For those who enjoy cycling, this is a great location... only 13km on quiet rural roads to Point Pelee National Park where you can bike another 9km inside the park (one way) on a newly park road. We can't say enough about this place. We loved it. Looking forward to renting again. Denis & Estelle

One amazing week
My family and I stayed for one week at Maria’s cottage, the place is breathtaking , it’s exactly how it is described. It’s a cute 2 bedroom cottage , perfect for our family of four and the deck makes it all worth it. No matter what time of the day it is , you will enjoy it for sure. We haven’t been in this area before and we didn’t know what to expect but there is so much to do. One thing that I could mention here was that the coffee machine was a bit tricky , we didn’t spent too much time on figure out how to use it and we end up buying a cheap one to use for the time we were there. But this is only a minor issue that didn’t overshadowed our vacation there. For younger kids there is a small beach walking distance which is very private. The side yard it’s been great for the days you want to sit in the shade. The fire pit area is great as well, we had one night where the moon was so bright and with the wood fire on it felt unbelievable. I wish I had an option where you can share photos of the experience you have while staying there. Maria is been great at communicating with us and answering any questions we had. We are looking forward to come back!

Quiet, relaxing, great view
We would definitely go back here. It was quiet and had everything we needed. The side yard was big enough to play with the kids and the beach was 2 minute bike ride away. Leamington close enough to run in and get what you need and then back to the relaxing quietness. It was our first time to this area of Ontario and thought it was really nice. Point Pelee National Park was 25 min drive away. Thank you Maria. Everything was as advertised.
