We enjoyed being a short walk to the beach and not staying in a crowded area. The neighborhood is quiet, and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen is only stocked with the basics, so if you are fishing, be sure to bring your foil, baggies, etc.

Great location! Cute cabin clean and comfortable. Dogs welcome . Nice covered out door seating and fire pit. Close walk to town and surfing. Would stay again.

Star rating above is not accurate - we dont know what the lodging is like as we did not see it in person . Treacherous weather and road conditions forced us to cancel our trip - host charged for both nights regardless.

We were given the wrong code and wrong room number to start with. The place looked fairly clean at first look until we went to put our things on the shelves in the bathroom. Had to wipe down the shelves prior to placing our things. We were thrilled to be able to have our pup allowed to be with us. He ended up rolling his ball under the beds and that was the scary part. You do not want to know what we found under the beds! This place is a great location . Just a couple of blocks from a beautiful beach! Great potential just needs a very thorough cleaning.

We had to heard a bat out of the house the first night. A little more remote than we wanted.

The property was in a rustic location but within walking distance to the beach and a few amenities. The cabin is older and could use a lot of repair eventually. Outside is not well maintained. All the lawn furniture was broken and unusable.

We stayed in unit A, over all it was perfect and just what we were looking for. Super easy to find, A easy 5 minute walk to one of the cleanest beaches, where you can walk for miles. A easy 8 minute drive too depoe bay. Clean and simple with a semi private yard area (shared between the other units) with a fire pit. My only complaint would be the amount of spiders that were in the unit. Outside on the building its self could definitely use a little cobweb clean up and pest control. Communication between renter was excellent. Definitely would recommend and will definitely be staying here for our future trips.

Needs work. Kitchen drawers super lose fall out. Stains on couch. Big hole in the wall from door knob in 2nd bedroom. Floor torn up under bed in 2nd bedroom.

My in-laws are in their 80's and wanted to do a trip to the Coast- Daniel was so responsive and wonderful with them. They had a great time- said the place had everything you could need for a stay- great location. My husband and I are looking forward to going ourselves.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Surf Haven. It is a cute little place that perfectly met our needs for our 2-night stay. We loved being within walking distance of two beaches and just down the road from Newport. Because we didn't see an A unit or B unit when we arrived (based on the direction we arrived from), we were a bit confused about which door to use but the owners were very responsive and helped straighten us out right away. Great stay!

If you're looking for a reasonably priced, clean, comfortable stay close to but not right on the beach, this is it. Easy walking distance to paths & stairs leading to various beaches. Surfers, swimmers, dabblers, & those who just want a quiet place to get away from city life, this is it. The one thing - no outdoor chairs to lounge in, so bring you own.

Four of us there for one night. Full kitchen, large couch, and the whole place was really clean and comfortable. Proximity to the beach, grocery store, food, Newport, and Depoe Bay was so nice. Would recommend!

Location is great. Very short walk to Devil’s Punch Bowl. I’d walk there in the morning before many people arrive. Nothing fancy, but has necessary amenities. It’s a typical beach house vibe ( sagging floors, etc), but well maintained and clean. The building may have surf shack charm, but it still feels cozy and clean. Couple minor things broken and the owner was quick to respond. Wish there was more seating than just the couch by tv for a family movie night, but it’s small, so I get it. We’d definitely return again!

We love this area- quiet and a short walk to the devils punchbowl and beautiful beaches. The house is well kept and simple for a perfect weekend getaway. Great value too. Very helpful and communicative host! We’ve stayed twice and I’m sure we will book again in the future!

Since our daughter moved to Oregon for college we have had a standing tradition of coming to the Oregon coast for Thanksgiving so we can all be together. This Surf Haven location was perfect. Near beaches, attractions, and amenities. Plenty spacious and we'll layed out for the four of us and the owners accommodate dogs of any size which is just what our family needs. Will keep this property on the list for future years!

We had a great time and were comfortable staying at the house. We loved that it was a short walk to the Devils Punch bowl and short drive to other small towns.

Clean and cozy property provided everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend retreat with my sister-in-law. The walk to the beach was only a few blocks to see great views and 100 steps down to the sand. Seventy surfers were out in the water the day we visited, but the beach did not seem crowded as we beachcombed and discovered a small waterfall downbeach. Went back again later that night and had a campfire with s'mores. We had a great time and would stay again.

We had so much fun during our stay here and being able to walk everywhere helped a lot as the otter rock parking lots fill up quickly! Check-in and communication with owners was amazing. I’d forgotten to RSVP for my dog and they allowed for that last minute accommodation. We loved being able to cook and do laundry during our kids’ naptime. It is a duplex so you might hear your neighbors a little but it wasn’t bad.

This property was perfect for our short getaway to the coast. Check in was easy, covered parking a bonus. The location was great, short walk to devil's punch bowl, and short drive to Newport. I would definitely return.

This listing originally had two bathrooms listed, which it only had one. VRBO told us that we had to take it up with the host who is not returning our request to call us so we can resolve it. If you have an issue here I would expect you to have a similar experience with this host and VRBO. Would not recommend booking this property.

Close to tidepools.

It was a nice house. I didn't realize until we got there that it was a community back yard. It was very close to otter rock. A few things I found odd was when we got there the backdoor was unlocked just creepy and bed sheets and such from the cleaning crew I'm guessing were left in the dryer from the previous guests and the bathroom sink had a major draining problem. For the location with the price it was a nice place just needs a little tlc still. We had a great stay though and would still recommend 🙂

We had everything we needed for our beach visit - the accommodations were clean and cozy and we will be back soon.

Very cute, cozy & clean. We enjoyed a fire & roasted s’mores out back at the community fire pit. This unit is dog friendly which I appreciated. Close to beach access as well as a stunning view of Otter Rock, park that has a little walking trial & is dog friendly. That area also has a surf shop, coffee shop & a small Mo’s restaurant. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved staying here. It was very clean and comfortable. There was a mixup on the vrbo reservation and the host helped us sort it out on short notice to accommodate us. There are two wonderful beaches within walking distance as well as the Devil’s Punchbowl.

Stayed here with my wife and mother in law. We enjoyed the Oregon with it’s typical cold and misty weather. Walkable to Devil’s punch bowl. This place was pleasant to stay and exactly what we needed.

Stayed a few days for spring break with our 4 kids. We were able to fit the 2 babies in the room with us and the 2 older girls shared the other room. It was clean and stocked with all the basics to be able to cook, bring food and keep everyone warm and clean. We really enjoyed our stay and it is within walking distance to the beach and Devils punchbowl. Similarly priced to a hotel but more spacious and in my opinion was better for the family. We would definitely return.
