Log Inn to your vintage vacation experience.
Authentique cabane en rondins des années 1950 avec terrasse privée sur la petite rivière à quelques pas. Cette cabane en rondins indigène dispose de 2 chambres / 2 salles de bains avec un canapé futon queen dans la tanière. 6 couchages. La cabine a beaucoup d'espace pour s'étaler et se détendre devant la pierre native, le foyer au bois dans le salon ou les bûches à gaz dans la tanière. Le téléviseur intelligent de 60 pouces au-dessus de la cheminée du salon est l'endroit idéal pour encourager vos équipes sportives ou regarder un film.
Nous sommes idéalement situés à moins de 1,6 km du centre-ville historique de Mentone. Nous sommes à distance de marche de 3 camps d'été et à quelques pas des boutiques d'artisanat.
Une promenade tranquille de 4 minutes vous amène à la terrasse privée sur la petite rivière. Votre propre trou de natation a une profondeur moyenne de 4 1/2 pieds. Le pont est soutenu par un ancien hangar à bateaux en pierre avec un sol en pierre posé qui s'étend dans la rivière. La nature a fourni une coupe parfaite pour le lancement, alors apportez votre kayak.
En moins de 10 miles, vous avez 7 restaurants, 4 sont à moins d'un mile. Beaucoup autorisent le "brown-bagging" et d'autres servent des boissons pour adultes.
Il y a tellement d'opportunités pour s'amuser en plein air. Natation, kayak, canoë, randonnée pédestre, équitation, vélo, escalade, observation des oiseaux ou tout simplement se détendre et laissez les oiseaux vous observer.

The Log Inn is very much as described. It seems old. The floors are somewhat uneven and squeaky. But that lens some vintage charm.
The layout is as if the house was added on to over years. It would sleep 4 comfortably. 6-8 with no crowding.
A nice retreat for a long weekend.

This property is in a perfect location. Easy to walk to Mentone Market and also perfect if you have a pup as the sidewalk is perfect for walks.

Air conditioning-cold refrigerator-lots of room for everyone and a big back yard. A great place to stay and Susan was awesome! Thank you so much.

Space was more than adequate for our group of three, including one couple. Bed options worked well, with one king and one queen. Two bathrooms. We enjoyed relaxing in one of several sitting areas. Wood paneled walls were beautiful but did make it somewhat dark. Btw, the property is lovely! We drove down the block and checked out deck on the river, but did not take advantage of this feature, it was just too hot during our visit, plus we were concerned about biting insects. As far as the 4 star instead of 5 for checkin process, when we arrived we couldn’t get the code to work. As it turns out, sometimes the deadbolt sticks so a little extra maneuver is required, or just use another door. Of course, we didn’t know this and had no cell service (Verizon), walked to hardware store a short distance away and used Wi-Fi to call Susan for assistance. It all worked out fine but was a bit of a hassle, especially after a fairly long day driving and desiring happy hour! FYI… once inside we were able to login to Wi-Fi and use phones with no problem at all. Thanks Susan!
The Log Inn was comfy and we enjoyed our stay. If you like quaint and vintage then this spot will suit you well!

A great quiet stay in a wonderful neighborhood! The ‘log inn’ looks and feels like it was taken out of an old west or settlers movie. Near many outdoor activities, wonderful local markets and restaurants but not terribly far from modern grocers and fast food if you really have to be boring. The locals are friendly and kind and the parks are great. We really enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyed the home, Mentone Market, and Moon lake trading company. The falls were beautiful as was the canyon drive. Visited 1882 antiques and ate at the restaurant in Fort Payne. Host was the best! We’ll be back in the late fall!

The check in process was easy, all info was organized very well in a binder, very clean and spacious, everything is very well taken care of and in good shape, clawfoot tub in one of the bathrooms, GREAT communication from owner, overall a perfect place for our short trip up to Mentone. Will definitely recommend to anyone asking for a place to stay in the area. 10/10 recommend!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved our stay at the log inn. We had so much room to spread out. And I have never stayed in a VRBO that was so clean ! Amazing! The grounds were absolutely beautiful and had so many things blooming. We loved sitting outside at the table and chairs as well as on the screened in porch when it rained. We did walk down to the overlook on the river and really enjoyed that. Location is great! It was so close to the venue we needed to go to. If I had to say anything else about the location, it is on a very busy road, but being able to go around to the back for the driveway was super nice. And inside you did not hear the road noise. Overall, a great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at the log cabin. It was nicely furnished and very comfortable. When we first got there my husband found a dead mouse under the sink. He got rid of it and I was fine after he put it outside. You can delete the last sentence if you prefer because we really did have a great time.

The cabin was easy to find and close to DeSoto Falls, DeSoto State Park and Little river Canyon and Falls as well as other outdoor areas of interest. Check in was a breeze and the place was as described with plenty of room for us to spread out. Also, there was lots of space for the dogs to run around outside, however, it is not fenced and it is located off a very busy road. Overall a very comfortable place to stay and unwind.

Our stay at the Log Inn was quite good. I don't think it could have been any cleaner than it was when we walked in the door. We enjoyed relaxing for a week in this home.
The kitchen was amazing with all the things that were there for us to use. The patio was my favorite place (when it wasn't raining) with the large umbrella, grill, and lovely view of the large backyard. The only downside for us (maybe not all) was the lighting. Could have used a few more lumens in all the lights. The owner was easy to reach and responsive. We would give it a 10.

We enjoyed our stay and the cabin was spacious. We liked having an easy walk to the Mentone Market and a convenient trip to the Falls and state park. The cabin was spacious and well equipped.

The rental location was prefect for visiting Mentone, Desoto Falls, Fort Payne, Little River Canyon and High Falls Park. The cabin was very clean and cozy. We also enjoyed sitting on the private river deck one evening.

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was large and comfortable and within walking distance of town which was exactly what we wanted. We were able to go hiking and take lots of walks without taking ages to get there. The bathrooms are nice and large which is a plus if you have a large group.

Comfortable stay in the well appointed cabin with a good location. The cabin is large enough to accommodate 2 couples comfortably. It was just my husband and I but a larger family or 2 couples would have loved it. The wood burning fireplace was a plus. We would rent again 😊
