Great value for secluded get away. The only issue was dryer failed, but the next day Mr. Benefield brought a new dryer and all was back to normal. Mentone and surrounding area was beautiful. The host Larry Benefield kept us informed.

Nice cabin, had everything we needed. Only draw back, there is no really good outdoor area. There is a fire pit but it is very rudimentary. Would have been nice if the hot tub area was screened in as there were lots of tiny mosquitoes. Overall a very nice place for a weekend getaway.

The cabin is much more spacious than the pictures can show. Very clean! Great location for traveling to all the nearby falls. We loved our time in the hot tub, too

My husband and I loved staying here. Perfect location for all hiking activities in the area. Larry was super easy to work with on checking in and out. The cabin was clean and spacious enough for us. After a day of hiking, relaxing in the hot tub on the deck was just what we needed each night. We've already discussed booking another trip!

A cute and comfortable cabin, quiet neighborhood, check-in and communication was top notch. Enjoyed our stay.

Great little cabin for a short get away for me and my wife. Property was just as described. Some complaints we seen in other reviews were things we saw but normal for the area. Yes yard is not manicured but it’s in the woods. Bed is firm but can’t please everyone. Maybe house could be deep cleaned but nothing that can’t be dealt with. We loved it. Hot tub was perfect and perfect with the privacy fence around it. All in all it was a great stay and we will definitely be back.

Very Secluded very quiet would stay there again

Sweet Dreams Cabin was a much needed retreat from the stresses of work, home and the busy Magic city. It was a great place to enjoy God's creation and just listen to the birds and see the deer grazing in the front yard. The cabin was clean and the outdoor hot tub was a treat!

My significant other and I had a wonderful weekend at "Sweet Dreams". The cabin was very clean and provided everything to enjoy a stress free weekend in the mountains. Larry, the property manager, was wonderful and was excellent in communicating with us. The hot tub on the private porch was our favorite part. The price was also very affordable and it is close to all of the hot spots in Mentone. I highly recommend this to any couple who needs a fun getaway weekend to unplug with your significant partner! We will definitely be returning here in the future!

The only thing I would suggest is to replace the grill and the dish washer needs to be mounted in the cabinet. It is very loose and can be pulled out if not careful. Other than that we had a great time and loved the place.

We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of this cozy cabin. Maid service should be considered. Very dusty, cobwebs, dirty floors. Pots and pans were put back in the cabinet dirty.

As others noted there are lots of back country roads in order to find the cabin. The host prior to our arrival gave very detailed directions as well as clear information on how to get in. I appreciated the advance communication & prompt responses to questions we had as we brought our dog with us. Upon entering the cabin we noted that it was clean. There is helpful information though out. The online description & pictures matched the actual cabin. The price felt very well worth it. There was a minor issue with the front door lock, that we chalked up to “stuff happens”. The host was again very communicative! The host is an artist and there are wildlife pictures hung on the walls that adds to the charm! If we can we take our dog with us, this cabin was very dog friendly. The area is great for hiking. I will say you do have to drive to the trails but there are many options within 15min. We had several great hikes. I recommend stopping by the visitor center in Desoto state park, they were very helpful and had great directions to hikes with water falls. Last but not least, the hot tub works!! We enjoyed this extensively! The cover is a bit old but the hot tub itself is fantastic. We kept the cover on when not in use per the hosts request. We also made sure to shower before each use and loved that the shower was well designed and enhanced the experience. The deck is very private so it was very relaxing. Was a great vacation!

This was our second stay at “sweet dreams”. It’s a lovely cabin, and the arrival process is painless.

It was a great week at sweet dreams!! Cozy, clean, quite!!! Nicely stocked!! Perfect location!!! Only thing I seen needed done was knocking some cob webs off the outside porches and knocking off some dust on the outside.

We had a wonderful time. This was exactly what we needed, a quiet weekend getaway! The Desoto State Park and Little River Canyon were not to far away and we enjoyed both places!

This one bedroom cabin was perfect for the two of us. The setting was very quiet and private. The cabin was very clean and nicely furnished and decorated.

The cabin is cozy, but spacious. It’s conveniently located to Mentone, Desoto State Park and Falls and the Little River National Preserve. The cabin was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a fun couple of days. The host, Larry, was very easy to work with. We’re already planning our next visit!

Very relaxing

It was a location close to stuff to do! The home is just as described. Larry was a good communicator. The stove runs hot so best to cook on low heat Loved the nature with the deer crossing the road by the large rocks in the morning and woodpeckers working away. Had a great stay!

This cabin was absolutely stunning. Its so peaceful and relaxing. I loved the feel of the cabin, it just felt so homey. The hot tub was a plus. I loved watching the family of deer in the yard. I also loved all the hand painted canvas work. We will definitely be coming back soon. Thanks for letting us enjoy your cabin.

I initially thought this was a little closer to Mentone, but with our available dates to celebrate our first anniversary, it still turned out to be a wonderful choice. Very close to DeSoto for exploring there, and less than 15 minutes to Mentone for an awesome sunset at Brow Park, awesome food at the eclectic restaurants (just be aware they roll up the sidewalks about 8 pm on weekends - LOL) and cool little market and shops. Cabin was clean and cozy, host was informative and communicative, enjoyed the hot tub each evening. We had a lovely stay, recommend this host.

This property is excellent. We had a relaxing quiet stay. Close to several great restaurants. Also close to Desoto State Park. Scenery was awesome.

On first glance, all looked fine. On the plus side, it was more spacious than expected. Very roomy. Plenty of tissue, soap, towels, etc.... Howe It soon became clear that the place needs a deep cleaning and the outside "yard" area needs maintenance. Apparently, VRBO, made a mistake in communicating with the owner on our booking dates. He knocked on the door wanting us to leave. It was an entire day early! I was kind of upset. Fortunately, I had proof of my booking and the owner apologized profusely, but it was still upsetting.

Very peaceful atmosphere. Saw deer feeding in front yard just outside dining room window. Enjoyed viewing historical sites.
