Secluded Waterfront Location With Dock
En entrant dans ce lieu privé et à la maison, les clients ont d'abord commenté le cadre magnifique et la tranquillité qui vient de monter sur la propriété. Notre maison se trouve sur 4 ½ acres dans une communauté riveraine privée nommée «Osbrook Point" à Stonington Ct. Bordé sur les 2 côtés de forêts préservées et la rivière Pawcatuck sur un autre, la maison se trouve sur une colline et les points de vue et des biens regarder dehors en pente douce vers la rivière où l'on a accès à un quai privé et flotter pour le canotage, kayak, paddle embarquement, la pêche et la vue magnifique. La vue sur la rivière est de Watch Hill. Les plaisanciers auront un accès direct à ouvrir les eaux pour la pêche, la navigation de plaisance ou de l'échouage sur les plages locales ou au «point de sable", une petite île qui est aussi une réserve naturelle. Le quai est adapté pour un bateau jusqu'à 26 pieds. Il est de l'eau douce et de l'électricité sur le quai.
Notre maison peut accueillir dix personnes avec quatre chambres et deux salles de bains. Trois des chambres ont des lits queen, une avec lits jumeaux et un canapé-lit dans le salon. Il y a une buanderie et garde-manger pour votre commodité. Il est une maison à aire ouverte avec vue sur l'eau de la plupart des pièces, une grande terrasse pour se détendre et barbecue et une grande cour pour divertir et profiter amis et la famille dans un quartier sûr et isolé. We enjoyed the open living area very much. The mosquitoes were a deterrent to outdoor activities. The house was very clean but there was an unpleasant smell in one of the bathrooms. Also an issue with the water pipe going to the dock.

We completely enjoyed ourselves at this location. The dock on the Pawcatuck River made it easy to access the barrier beach. Great restaurants and things to do nearby! And plenty of space in the well kept house. Couldn’t be better!!!

We had a wonderful 3 days staying at this property. We wanted a house that could accommodate 8 people and also provide us the space to celebrate our mom's 75th birthday with a few other relatives that lived close by one of the days. This was perfect. The kids loved the big yard and dock where they ran around, fished, and played. The adults appreciated the serene setting and being together in the same house, yet having enough space that it didn't feel cramped. The house was clean and cozy...had a lake-house feel to it. The owners were very helpful and had a great guide to everything you needed to know including area restaurants, sites, etc. They also left a nice welcome basket for us and made sure the house was well stocked with all the amenities you would need in a rental property.

Loved this house! If you loved camp and you love architecture, this home will be perfect. It’s dated but charming. The gardens are lush. It feels very private and secluded. Yet close to everything. The bedding was comfortable and the rooms are filled with interesting books and relics that reflect a love of art, gardens, and boating. The windows were a beautiful feature of the home. Our family would totally stay here again.

I spent a very relaxing few days here with my niece. We thoroughly enjoyed the setting, a glen like open area surrounded by trees leading to a nice dock jutting out into the river. The kitchen was well equipped for home cooked meals. The wrap around porch and spacious living room accommodated very relaxing indoor or outdoor lounging. Lovely, perfect, and quiet.

The property was as described. In fact it seemed even larger with the dining area and living area open. There was no problem with air conditioning. The beautiful fan over the main living area provided a nice feel. It was fun to explore all the unique games, pictures, books, and knickknacks. We did have a lighting problem, host came and had an electrician there to fix by next morning. Kitchen is well equipped. The canoe was used twice. The young people explored the river extensively.

This comfortable and welcoming home has lovely (seasonal) views of the water. Walk down to the dock to breathe in the salty air and watch the sea birds. The home is tucked at the end of Osborne Point and may take few minutes to find, but is well worth it. There are 4 comfortable bedrooms with cozy linens. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Plenty of towels and everything was very clean. The décor is a lifetime collection of curated items from old New England pottery and lovely rugs to shoreline ship models and collectible books. Your hosts couldn't be more welcoming. the home was very accessible for someone using a walker - easy ramp and wide doorways. Many attractions right in CT and also a very quick drive to Watch Hill and other RI attractions. Highly recommended.

Whenever possible,ask the homeowners this question when you rent on VRBO,is your neighbor doing a renovation on his home?Because,this was very disappointing to me and my husband,since we rented for almost a week.The 2 day weekend was quiet,until Monday morning,when the generator started up at 6 or was it 7 a.m.There were compressors running and banging going on throughout the day,when we were drinking our coffee on the deck.I think the worst of it,was the barrel that was in their backyard that had a fire burning in it,and when it was dying out,all the thick black smoke came our way.So,I would not have rented their house had I known they were doing constuction next door.It was unacceptable.

House is located in the secluded area inside the nature reserve with dock access to the sea water. Enjoy sea breeze and fun fishing at the dock. Well maintained yard and surroundings. Nearby nature trail and beach make the summer vacation fulfilling.

Jim and Kathleen’s place in Stonington is a real gem. The property is secluded and very large, with a dock right out into the river/bay. The house is clean and very homey. This is also an excellent fishing area. We caught a ton of striped bass on a boat we rented at the Stonington marina and docked right at the house all weekend. Will definitely rent from them again!

This house served our needs beautifully for 10 people. The party included my husband and me, our two children, their spouses and 3 grandchildren. The central living and dining area was our meeting spot, with the kitchen happily tucked around the corner, but within earshot of the living area, so the cook could be part of the conversation too. The house is spotless, with plenty of bathroom supplies, extra blankets in the bedrooms, and a well stocked kitchen with everything one could need to prepare meals. The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of space for the kids to run and play.
As events would have it, our daughter in law, broke her ankle a few days prior, and in conversation with the owners, discovered that the house is handicap accessible, which was a fortunate stroke of luck for our situation. The owners were delightful to work with, responsive and flexible to our needs and we were delighted with our stay.

This lovely home was set on a beautiful and secluded property looking out to the ocean/inlet with a private dock for boating. Well kept Kayaks and a canoe were provided but we did not use because it was Nov. it felt more like a home than a rental. Everything was spotless and neat. There is an spacious and open floor plan and plenty of light but it still felt cozy. There were also beautiful outdoor areas for lounging. The kitchen was well equipped. There were plenty of places to drive to and explore for a long walk. I would book again without hesitation.

Jim and Kathleen's home is beautiful, clean and very well cared for. This was by far the most stocked I've seen a rental. All the cooking gear you could possibly need along with essential spices and oils. They even have plenty of coffee in case you forget some. We had plenty of linens, hand soaps, dish cleaning supplies and many other comforts of home. We were there for a fishing trip and access to the dock was key. The dock itself is in excellent shape and even had power and fresh water. Jim was very helpful in making sure we gained safe access to the dock through the shallow waters in the creek. Check in was a breeze. We'll be back for sure.

This house is exquisite, perched high almost in the trees. The water is a nice walk from the house through the trees. The dock is great for kayaking or canoeing (not as much for swimming). The house has beautiful outdoor eating areas. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect spot!
Jagalust Landing is the perfect spot to reconnect with family and friends. So peaceful! The property is clean and convenient to explore Mystic and Newport areas. Great deck and enjoyed water access with kayaks! Owners thought of everything. to make the vacation just perfect.

Family Getaway
James and Kathleen's house was the perfect getaway location for us. We were a multi-generational group of 8 adults and found it to be comfortable and secluded, yet convenient to local amenities and beaches. The property is beautiful and peaceful, with some water views and a private dock. In the morning, we enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the birds and watching deer feed down closer to the water. The home is very clean, and you will find many nice touches that I have not seen in other houses we have rented, such as a welcome basket of snacks, teas, coffees, etc.; a kitchen well-stocked with spices, pantry items, cookware, and dinnerware; comfortable beds; luxurious bath linens; and an array of games and movies for rainy days. The house is on one floor with a comfortable open concept living/dining area that is surrounded with picture windows which bring in light and enable you to experience the beautiful grounds while indoors. The owners are extremely responsive to inquiries and very clear in their directions for arrival and check out. Overall a wonderful experience.

The property was great very relaxing and comfortable. The amenities were awesome there were items there so if you forgot anything it was there the grounds are beautiful. My family loved the dock , I was unable to walk to the dock it appears closer to the house in the pictures. Other than that are stay was wonderful.

Perfect Balance for a home away from home!
This exceptionally clean, incredibly well stocked and lovely property was rented for a long weekend (four nights) for the extended family during a Connecticut College graduation). I echo many of the previous reviews: incredibly clean; best stocked kitchen/home; pictures don’t due it justice; great layout of the home; kind and communicative hosts etc. But , I also want to add that this home strikes the perfect balance in so many ways! It is welcoming and inviting with lovely furnishings and decor, but is not cluttered or overdone. Indoors and outside are equally inviting. We enjoyed the indoors and the graduate et al made good use of the kayaks and canoe with trailers, life jackets and paddles all provided. The outdoors included a yard, deck with seating and flower pots, back yard and area by the dock. We loved it all! Although we usually watch TV early am and in the evening, it did not get turned on once since the home was conducive to other activities such as laughter, conversations and games (many board games and toys tucked away through out the house). WiFi worked great too. I would happily move into Jagalust Landing for an extended period and hope to have a reason to return in the future!

Family Retreat - worth the effort
The property is truly unique, located within a preservation area. While it does take a bit longer to get there, it is well worth the effort. The home is perfect for a family gathering. There are many extra touches and everything you need is at hand. The owners were fast to respond and helpful. It really exceeded our expectations and we liked that it was our hidden gem.

Girls weekend
The 6 of us had a very relaxing long weekend, found the owners extremely accommodating, the house better than pictures, stocked with everything. We were fortunate to have decent weather & enjoyed the deck, including sighting a family of 5 deer a few times. The only issue for us was not having basic sports channels on tv for Celtics & Red Sox but we survived! Would definitely recommend & stay again. Thank you so much for sharing
