The penthouse at La Siesta was even better than described in the listing. The location is incredible. We did rent a car to see more of the island but every need is within walking distance. The views from every room are breathtaking. We were a family of 8. Everyone had their own space and we enjoyed the vast common space. We will miss early morning coffee and bay views on the beautiful balcony as well as early evening sunsets. The penthouse was spotless when we arrived. Thank you Marcia for the midweek “refresh”! We had planned most dinners out but could have easily made home meals as the kitchen is equipped with everything needed. There is an added bonus of beach towels, toys and even snorkeling equipment. We all felt right at home. This could not have been a more welcoming and comfortable stay.

We planned a "girls week" to SXM and everything exceeded our expectations. Sharon was very responsive to our questions and requests. The Villa was perfect in every way, location, views, comfort etc. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back!

The location wasn’t great. The first day of check the cleaning lady was still there. We were not able to get in comfortably until she was done. About 1.5 hours late.

Only difficulty was being unable to contact owner because I kept getting an error (invalid sender address) when texting.

This property is beyond amazing. The views from each bedroom are spectacular. From the mountains to the beautiful blue waters of the sea every corner of this condo is unforgettable. Our family of five so enjoyed this vacation. The location of the condo on the island of Saint Martin is perfect. We did rent a car for the duration of our trip - which I highly recommend! The close proximity to the airport is perfect! The pool and the beach area were beautiful. The bar and the kitchen were just perfect. Beach towels, a small cooler, snorkel gear and floats were so nice to have! It’s just the perfect home away from home! Beyond amazing! We will be back!!

Everything was perfect. Everyone in the family, including 3 kids (8,5, and 1) and my parents (75+), enjoyed our 10 day stay. The apartment had everything we needed. Location is great, the neighborhood feels very safe, and the views are stunning. Even in April (spring break) we had the pool almost exclusively to ourselves. Sharon responded very quickly to all our questions and had great recommendation for us. The ocean floor right in front is a bit rough, but you can walk literally one minute to your right where everything is perfect. The airport nearby is not an issue at all. There are no flights before 8am or after 8pm and it's fun to watch the planes for both kids and adults.

First of all, Sharon was a gem to work with. She sent emails, a welcome packet in the mail, and answered all of my questions for our first trip to the island. The condo was clean and very stocked and the views were stunning!! It was very helpful to have the property cleaned mid-week, as the sand got overwhelming quickly (this happens with 4 kids!). We also really appreciated the ample stock of beach towels and beach gear (sand toys, snorkel gear, etc). The pool area was fantastic and never crowded. As for the beach, the area adjacent to the condo didn't offer much, as the waves came up to the seawall. We needed to walk a bit farther down the beach to have space to lay. We often walked down to Mary's Boon for their chairs, food/drinks, and overall good vibe. The Simpson Bay area had more than everything that we needed and the Penthouse at La Siesta was lovely! I highly recommend!

So clean and well maintained from outside to inside. Gorgeous views, nice pool, within walking distance to many restaurants. Would highly recommend this, no hesitations.

The penthouse apartment was great. It was supplied with everything we needed and more. On the back deck they even had toys and snorkel items that came in real handy. We had a party of 6, 4 adults and 2 children. The apartment was perfect. We felt more as guest then tenants. Thank you so much for a wonderful trip. We will be back.

This condo is perfect, it has everything and I mean everything you could think of! Fab kitchen, dish washer, washer and dryer, beach chairs, toys etc. Hugh patio for morning coffee and watching sunsets. We walked to restaurants, beach bars and liquor stores. Assigned parking and a very nice night security man! We always felt very safe! Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to spend a week in St Maarten!

If you are looking at this review, the #1 thing I want you to know is that St. Martin is thriving again after Hurricane Irma took her best shot at the island. We had no issues with transportation, tourism, shopping, sight-seeing, etc. My family & I have been coming to St. Martin for almost 10-years & we were able to do everything that we wanted to do while in St. Martin in December of 2018. Maho Beach is just as great as it always was! Phillipsburg was great, as usual. Stop by Ballerina Jewelers & see Ravi – he will offer you something “almost free!” ;-) The #2 thing that I want you know is that if you’re looking at this rental, BOOK IT! You will not be disappointed! The booking process with Sharon & John was a breeze. I was mailed a welcome packet prior to our arrival with any information that I could possibly need. We did not utilize the parking spot, but it was right in front of the building if we did want to use it. In my opinion, St. Martin drivers are a little different, so I wouldn’t want to rent a car on the island, but that’s just me. We have never had any trouble getting where we’re going using the local bus system or local taxi’s. The bus only costs $1.50 per person, so you can’t go wrong! We’ve also never felt over-charged getting a taxi. You can walk to everything you would need. We walked to markets/grocery stores for anything we needed. Since you are walking, it would be wise to take your own bags with you if you intend to buy a lot of stuff at the grocery store or market. We walked to all meals every day. I highly recommend The Karakter (short walk on the beach) for meals or drinks. I also recommend Isola, Toppers, Pineapple Pete’s, The Greenhouse & The Buccaneer, which are just a short walk away. One of the best things about this condo is that it was filled with perks. (shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, shaving cream) They had all kinds of pool noodles, goggles, flippers, etc. for swimming. The TV was already hooked up to Netflix. The WiFi had no trouble with like 10 devices hooked up to it. Huge bin of dishwashing detergent so that we could run the dishwasher as many times as needed. Another super nice thing is that the people before us left some beers in the fridge, which you’re encouraged to leave what you don’t use. We had a bunch of stuff leftover when we left (beers, sodas, bottled waters, etc.) & we left it all there for the next guests! Thank you for a great rental! We will definitely rent again! We loved it! Thank you!

The photos do not do this property justice. The large balcony off the living room provides a spectacular view of Simpson Bay. This rental has all the amenities of home. Sharon, the owner was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. I definitely look forward to visiting this "home away from home" again.

We visited the penthouse for a spring vacation with 6 adult. We found there was plenty of room for all three couples and plenty of privacy within the villa. The amities are as described and the beds are very comfortable no problem resting and relaxing. We had one issue with a shower head that was resolved in less than a day> the owners are very nice to work with. If cooking is for you the lay out is perfect with all top notch appliances and a bbq on deck. This villa is all about location location location!!! great views easy walks to restaurants beach and off street parking.

Now frankly ... how could anyone argue with a place directly on a sandy beach in Saint Maarten in the dead of Canadian winter! That said, the place really is quite perfect. Spotless ... and that is one of our number 1 criteria. Beautifully appointed kitchen - modern with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Comfy living room with the best of stereo and TV equipment (not that the TV really ever got used except the music channels!). Bedrooms are huge and king size beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are spotless and well appointed. Outside, the pool area is wonderful with very friendly people to chat with. And the entrance to the beach area from the pool is both secure and very convenient. I think what we liked most of all was the outdoor living space - huge balcony with seating for 8 comfortably. Now to be honest - walking at night in the area seems a little daunting, and twice we were told by locals that it would not be a good idea to wander the streets at night - but we were so tired from the fresh sea air and being outside all day that there was really no danger that we would be out at night anyway! :) The area has great restaurants and shopping. The beach walks are heavenly - you can walk directly to Maho Beach from Simpson Bay ... but why would you? Our beach is long with silky sand and not in the LEAST bit crowded ... frankly, of all the beaches we saw, ours was our favourite! We will CERTAINLY return to St. Maarten and to LaSiesta.

This was a wonderful week in a simply spectacular condo and we would, and will, love to stay there again. The unit has everything in it you could ever need, everything is high quality and well cared for. The location is 5 minute walk to great restaurants & shopping as well as public transportation (we did not rent a vehicle). The views are spectacular from the balcony and the beach is quiet - you do need to walk a short way to enter the ocean to avoid the rocks out front. Sharon is friendly responsive and very helpful with all the details.

We would like to thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful condo. There were 6 adults and there was more than enough room for everyone. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could possibly want. The balcony was huge with a great bbq to use on the balcony which we did several times. Unfortunately the ceiling fans were not working on the balcony when we were there. It does get hot on the balcony in the afternoons. The pool was great with plenty of chairs. We did get stuck in the elevator when the power on the inland went out. That was not so fun. The unit was cleaned on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays by the maid service, they did a great job. we would no hesitate to come back to this location again.

This was our first time in St. Marteen. Sharon was so helpful with our planning. The penthouse was perfect! We loved everything about it - big, clean, perfect location. We had ZERO problems. The beds were comfy and the AC was nice for sleeping. If you want to sight see and drive to all the beaches and drive around the island, please rent a car. We used it every day; there are a ton of beaches and it was so neat to see how different each are - and there's a free parking space. The penthouse is centrally located and easy to find from the airport. We recommend this penthouse and the balcony views are breathtaking!

The penthouse exceeded our wildest expectations. There was so much space and it was stocked with everything, even beach towels. The views from the balconies are to die for. We were there in mid-July and it was quite hot, but the condo always remained cool especially after we returned in the evenings and all the fans and AC had been turned off during the heat of the day. The maid cleaned mid-week and spent hours there, much more in depth than anything we would have expected. I highly recommend Karakter Beach Bar & Cafe where the beach chairs and umbrellas are always free and food and drinks are reasonably priced. It's a short 10 minute walk down the beach. We rented a Jeep and toured the island. Mullet Bay is a "must visit" spot. John and Sharon answered every question we had prior to the trip and even checked in on us during our vacation. We really appreciate their recommendation for Cafe Atlantico right around the corner, which became our go to spot for breakfast that week. This was truly a special spot for a very special vacation.

We booked this spectacular penthouse for our family vacation. We've been to St. Maarten several times and love vacationing there. This was by far our favorite accommodation. The location on the island is perfect. You can walk to so many fabulous restaurants and of course the water is just steps from your door. We walked to Karakter beach every day and paddle boarded right from the beach in front of the condo. With the pool onsite it was very convenient to cool off there too. With 3 adult couples the condo was the perfect size and layout. All of us had plenty of privacy or could hang out together on the spacious balcony or great room. John and Sharon quickly replied to all or our questions prior to our trip. During our trip the iron would not work and we contacted the on island manager and a new iron was brought to us the following day. There was everything we could have asked for in the condo. I would return to this amazing property in a heartbeat. In fact, my husband is trying to figure out how to move there full-time.

If you are looking for the perfect place to stay in St. Maarten, look no further. The Penthouse at La Siesta has all of the comforts of home and so much more. The bedrooms are spacious and perfectly decorated. The kitchen is completely equipped with everything you need during your stay. The living area is very comfortable and I just can't say enough about the balcony and the views. You will spend most of your time on the balcony enjoying a coffee or cocktail while taking in the most amazing views of the ocean and beach. Sharon and John are the perfect owners to deal with. I can assure you they will be quick to respond to every question you may have and they are both very knowledgeable about the island. The other thing that sets The Penthouse a notch above the rest is the personal touches that Sharon and John have provided for you during your stay. Things such as the snorkeling equipment, chairs, umbrellas, cold beers/wine in the fridge and of course the cabinet in the master bedroom are just a few examples. My family and I can't thank you enough for making this a perfect vacation for us. I hope we can return to your paradise again someday.

We recently were lucky enough to stay at this oh so finely appointed condo directly on the beach in St Martin! The photos show it like it it minus the view of the most exquisite yachts in the world that happened to be in port while we were there. Our family travelled with twin 15 month olds for one week who needed cribs and high chairs and this was given to us with absolutely no problem. You can tell the owners are family oriented. and so accommodating. I might have to mention that we inquired at other places prior to choosing this home and were told children under five were not welcome. Are you kiddinng me??? Aside from that...Sharon and John resonded to everything we asked prior to our trip and while we were there. The kitchen is so well equipped with everything you need to make smoothies/ rum drinks/ and fine dinners. You won't go wrong staying here. Location is great for so many places on the island. Spectacular views. I could go on and on... Book it!!! You will love it.

Pictures do not do this place justice. It is so spacious and nicely decorated. The view from the 4th floor balcony was spectacular. We were glad there was an elevator when hauling luggage or coming in tired from a day at the beach. The kitchen had everything you would ever need. We also loved having the washer and dryer inside the unit so we could wash swim suits, beach towels, and clothes when needed. The location of the unit is perfect. Right on the beach. We enjoyed walking to breakfast in the mornings and hanging out at the pool in the afternoon. I highly recommend renting a car since st maarten is an island that is meant to be explored. We took off everyday to the beach of our choice.. Orient, mullet, pinel island, and meads bay Anguilla. In the evening there were so many restaurants within a short mile or less drive. Karakters just down simpson bay was our favorite for view, music and an all around good time. We also enjoyed attending the Catholic Church just a short block away. The Gourmet Marche grocery store was so close and convenient and right across from the store was Atlantico Bakery, our favorite for breakfast. We also enjoyed walking down to the Yacht Club to watch the boats come in the drawbridge and for a nice happy our with tasty grouper fingers and sandwiches. So many nice touches in the condo, binoculars, soaps and amenities in the bathroom, beach towels, chairs, floats, snorkle gear, a multitude of spices and condiments (check the cabinets and fridge before going to the store as not to buy something that is already present) the honor liquor cabinet, and even a few cold beers in the fridge left from a previous guest. We also loved being able to call home on the condo land line, and easily bought minutes for the provided cell phone to use around the island. The finishings in the condo from the kitchen to the bathroom were top notch and the beds were comfy as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone I know. We are already looking ahead to coming back next year.
