Spacious home with large kitchen and wonderful views. The weather was not very nice but we had a great time hiking, golfing and going in the boat tour if pictured rocks. We had fun at the breweries in Marquette as well. I would definitely recommend this place.

We loved the big kitchen. A great property. Wonderful lake Superior views. Bedding and towels could be updated. Everything you could need is provided. The beach was a great plus. Thanks for the use of your home...😊😊😊

Our family had a wonderful and relaxing time here. The home had everything we needed and the best part was the beach right out the back door!

Lots of room for our family of 6, with a spacious kitchen, and comfortable sleeping. Beautiful, all sand beach (did miss looking for rocks/beach glass). There’s a great view from the yard. Unfortunately, there was a continuous squeak, coming from the harbor area, during our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay. Ours was a group of six: my husband and I, our thirty one year old son and his girlfriend, and our twenty eight year old daughter and her boyfriend. We live on the East and West coasts, so this vacation provided a way for us to spend time together in a beautiful place after a long hiatus (too long!) due to Covid. The rental is a lovely large home that is surrounded on three sides by water. There are amazing views and hang-out spots, both indoors and out, with group spaces as well as little private nooks to relax and enjoy the expansive feeling surrounding the place. We loved the sound of the waves. And the water was warm and swim-able! The house had everything we needed for a fun, relaxing stay. Mary Pat is a wonderful host! She is so accommodating, helpful and friendly. Felt as though we'd known each other a long time. We'll have many fond memories of this vacation. Hope to return.

We enjoyed our week on the lake, with plenty of space for our family, and good hiking and biking opportunities near by. The boys enjoyed having the beach right outside the door!

To start, Mary Pat has to be sweetest lady I’ve ever met. The house is beautiful and the view is hard to put into words, breathtaking doesn’t do it justice. My family and friends were there for a week and absolutely loved our stay. Mary Pat was extremely helpful if we needed anything. The town was full of friendly and helpful people. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautifully equipped cabin (that could actually sleep more than 10 in comfort!) about a half hour west of Marquette. Games, a canoe, a shallow beach and a complete kitchen (plus TV & DVD player) make life here entertaining and easy. Urban amenities are a ways off, but Lake Superior is at your door~

Beautiful sunrise every morning. Toasting marshmallows over the fire every evening. And in between, swimming and canoeing in Big Bay or hiking to summits and waterfalls.

This home is perfect for families wanting to play together. It is situated on the shore of Lake Superior as well as on a warmer harbor of refuge. The sand beach is a wonderful playground. We brought up a kayak and paddle board and there is a canoe provided. We had nightly fires in the fire pit. The cottage is completely equipped with kitchen utensils, bedding, and towels. We experienced a spectacular thunderstorm with unrelenting lightning. A bed full of grqndkids is a blessing. Mary Pat is very attentive and a great source of information.

Large and spacious home...gorgeous views of Big Bay and Lake Superior! Thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Lake...would absolutely go back...well worth it!

This is a very unique property with magnificent views and surrounded on 3 sides by water. There is a protected harbor with a beautiful beach perfect for young children, and another beach lakeside right next to it. Both beaches are just 20 steps out your back door, and virtually private. The home also comes with a lovely canoe so you can take a tour of the surrounding waterways. The home itself is beautiful, well—appointed and very comfortable. 7 bedrooms total, can easily host a large group. Finally, Mary Pat is a fine host and made our stay very enjoyable with her warm hospitality and local tips. You can not go wrong with this listing – highly recommended!

Mary Pat was wonderful to work with. We rented her home for our workers and their family for two weeks while we were completing a project in Marquette. The location was far enough from Marquette to relax but close enough to everything we needed. House was clean and comfortable. More than enough beds to go around. The house is on a little peninsula with water on 3 sides of the house. Perfect house to open the windows to let the breeze come in or have a small campfire while listening to the water. The extra fridge in the garage was great for the size of group we had. The house had more than everything we needed. I would be more than happy to visit here again in the future.

This home provided plenty of room for my brothers family and ours and was located conveniently within driving distance from Marquette . We have been spending our summer vacations together for the past 10 years picking a different place in Northern Michigan every year. We all agreed this was our favorite trip so far. We were able to swim & kayak on Lake Superior , swim in local water falls as well as drive to Pictured Rocks for day trips. Mary Pat was very accommodating for us and we look forward to coming back here !!

Attending a wedding in Marquette, so needed lots of room for all the groomsmen. This home was perfect for all of us. There were plenty of beds and separation for the guys and their girlfriends (and for me!) Loved having the water on all sides of the house, so all the rooms had views! The beach was great. Would have liked one more shower for when they were all getting ready, but we managed! The kitchen was well equipped and we loved having the extra refrigerator. Mary Pat was great to work with and very pleasant. Highly recommend this property.

Up from downstate absolutely loved accomadations. Gorgeous lakeviews, sheltered beach for our boat. Launch mere minutes away also close to Lake Independance, great fishing a Great layout for families, spacious and beautifully maintained. No one will be disappointed

My wife & I, our son and his wife and four children (6 yrs and under) stayed here the first week in August, 2015. The home was wonderful, excellent views with water on 3 sides and great sunrises. Kids enjoyed swimming on private beach and adults used the kayaks provided. Everyone had a great time and the owner, Mary Pat, was great. She was easy to work with and even allowed us to show up early which was awesome after an 8 plus hour drive with 4 small kids. She made us feel like family. We can't say enough good things about this property or the owners. We will come back to this one!

This vacation home was absolutely wonderful. The house was beautifully decorated, very spacious and wonderfully positioned on a small peninsula which provided us with a semi-private beach and nice cool breeze in the evenings. We stayed for 1 week but it seemed like only a few days. Mary Pat was a terrific host and made sure that we had all the things necessary to make our vacation perfect. We will definitely be coming back again.

What a great place to stay. The cabin has everything you could possibly need. We spent two weeks 6/27 - 7/11 2015 and had a great time. We had guests from New Zeland, Latvia and Sweden as well as many from MI. The beach is clean and sandy. There is plenty of space to spread out for large groups. Thanks Mary Pat.

My family and I enjoy this beautiful home for the week. We had such a wonderful time and this house has plenty of room. The view is breathtaking and the weather was absolutely perfect. This home has a beautiful decor and we all felt like we were home. We plan on coming back next year for sure. This is the perfect summer home to enjoy with your family.

My girlfriends and I recently stayed here for a fun Girl's Weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. The house is immaculate and spacious, but still cozy. We each had our own rooms, but spent a lot of time together in the living room near the fireplace. Every window has an incredible view. The living room has several large windows to look out at the break wall and lake. And the house sits on a peninsula, surrounded by water on three sides. The location is perfect. The house is fairly secluded, but Big Bay is a short drive away (probably walkable in the warmer months). The Thunder Bay Inn has great prime rib and the Lumberjack Tavern is a lot of fun. No question we will stay again. I would highly recommend this rental.

After our stay at this beautiful home I will return. The house is in very good, well taken care of, condition. You can tell the home owner treats it like a home not a rental. I will highly recommend this house to anyone I know. I hope to stay next year again on a family vacation. The area is very quiet and the small town of Big Bay has a good restaurant that is open somewhat late and has good food; pizza, burgers, fish, chicken ,etc...
