Peaceful River Hideaway
Peaceful River Hideaway est situé sur Elk River avec une année autour de l'eau. Cette maison de 3 chambres et 1 salle de bain a plus de 160 pieds de façade sur la rivière. Belle vue sur la rivière depuis la grande salle et deux des chambres. Le lit king size dans la chambre principale est un matelas Select Comfort Sleep Number. La deuxième chambre a un lit queen et la troisième chambre a un lit jumeau. Il y a un canoë et un pédalo pour votre plaisir. Une retraite paisible pour se déconnecter de tout. Il y a une télé de 50 pouces avec magnétoscope et lecteur DVD dans la grande salle. Il y a un grand gril à gaz pour votre usage. Ceci est une maison sans fumée et sans animaux.

The location is wonderful and the neighborhood is peaceful. I don’t have any complaints about our stay. Everything was great and fishing off the dock was pretty good too.

We can’t say enough about this place!! The pictures don’t do justice. It was very clean, inviting. The property was nice. Good fishing, lots of wild life to watch and the back porch over looking the water was nice to relax after fishing. We loved the 2 sliding doors that open. Loved listen to the pouring rain in the dark.
You won’t be disappointed if you choose this beautiful place. We been to a bunch of places and we think this one has been the best!!!

Wonderful views, lots of deer and birds. House was cute, too! Picked this location after viewing several others for stargazing with telescope. Host was exceptionally accommodating and even called to make sure it was perfect. Will be staying again and highly recommend for anyone looking to get away from it all (even if it's just light pollution)!

Peaceful and felt secluded even though nice and helpful neighbors. Birds, fish, fire pit, exploring the river in canoes, views of the river and sunset were our favorite highlights. Wonderful host!

I traveled up to Alabama for 8 days and the first places I stayed were horrible. I attempted to stay in some cabins and they had bed bugs and insect infestations. I was in desperate need for a new place and found this amazing cabin on the water. I messaged the owner at 11pm while sleeping in my truck. She quickly prepared the cabin and had it ready for me within a few hours. The host was amazing and the cabin was just as great!! Felt like home and I was easily able to sleep at night. The kitchen was great too and had everything I needed to cook. I’ll always be eternally grateful for the hospitality the host showed helping me out. Highly recommended!

This property by far exceeded my expectations! My daughter was looking for a “summer camp”
feel for her birthday and she actually found this listing. Every parent who dropped off their teen asked for a link to the property. The cabin has wonderful views, back porch is great for entertaining, and the boats included were the cherry on top. Such a relaxing home away from home.

Stayed here for the second time for our annual Elk River fishing trip. This was our 34th straight fishing trip.
The lakehouse is the perfect place to stay for fishing the Elk.
Owners are very nice and easy to get in touch with.

This place has everything you need for a peaceful getaway. Beds are super comfy and the house is perfectly situated to see the sunset over the water.

Once again my stay here was absolutely a great experience it was so so peaceful just like before no busy traffic , loud noise , or loud neighbors at the motel like my buddies were experiencing in town but yet this little slice of heaven in not to far out where you can go get what you need . Thank you Trudy for welcoming us in again we really love staying there when we come to Alabama.

The area was absolutely breath taking this time of year. We enjoyed all the wildlife. Every night we were visited by a family of deer and squirrels and birds you can sit and watch for hours. The house was very comfortable and accommodating. My family will definitely be coming back.

This home has amazing views. The sunsets are beautiful. The beds and furniture - very comfortable with loads of extra blankets and pillows! We had everything we needed in the kitchen and outside , had deer visit, along with an armadillo woodpeckers and other birds . Our girls weekend was so relaxing and calm and Trudi was very responsive and kind!

Our stay at this property was absolutely perfect! The house was spotless and so cozy! The majority of us spend a lot of time on the water but for the older folks they could watch from the back porch, or even in the air conditioned house with the wall of windows, and still feel part of what was going on. The house had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The pictures could not do justice to how peaceful the setting is. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds feed and a mama bird feed her babies in the bird house at the corner of the porch. We definitely would love to stay here again! It was perfect for us!

This place was amazing for our group it had everything for us , let me start off by saying the yard setting with all the really mature pine trees and the back porch with the sunrise and sunsets on the lake we’re a 10 . Trudy was so so nice to speak with and made us feel right at home I will definitely rent this one again .

Even though the weather was cold we caught 3 good size catfish. The paddle boat was fun when it warmed up outside. It's a little far from town but that's what makes it so peaceful. The bird feeders brought beautiful birds to watch through the glass doors. One that kept coming back was a woodpecker. At night we just rented movies to watch from a redbox cause I don't think the tv has cable or satellite. If it does we couldn't figure out how to get it on the tv 😂. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Perfectly quiet getaway property on the Elk River. The cozy former fishing cottage has been beautifully converted to a beautiful 2+ bedroom, modern bathroom, beauty. Well worth the ride off the beaten path to your natural hideaway. We happened to catch the migration of American White Pelicans stopping over on their trip south, and have never seen a sight like the 5000+ birds cruising a couple feet above the river with the only sound being the wind passing over their wings - it was a morning none of us will ever forget!!!!!!! The deer, the canoes, and the water made this an unforgettable weekend trip!

Nice quiet little spot on the water. There are other houses around, so it is not secluded or lonely, but quiet enough that fawns will frolic openly during daylight in the adjacent open space. If you're up early, you can watch herons patrol the shoreline from the hammock just a few feet away. We had a kayak on the water just about every morning and evening. It was just what we needed.
