When we drove up to the property My Mom and I were in shock; the King Fisher cabin is on a property we went to for my entire child hood - I learned to ride a bilk on that road, spent hours on the beach, road horses with the girl next door - what a blast from our past. What a wonderful coincidence. The home is well equip, comfortable and the deck and view cant be beat. The world gets smaller and smaller. Thank you :)

We had an amazing time -- a needed healing weekend. Staring out at the amazing view, the quiet. The Island vibe -- PERFECT!! The Kingfisher Cabin is a hidden gem that I selfishly don't want people to know about...but you should! :)

This cabin is such a cozy getaway. Gorgeous views across Quartermaster Harbor toward Vashon, stairs to a slip of beach (this is a heavily barnacled beach so wear shoes), just lovely! Not too far of a drive to either north or south end ferry docks or downtown. Kitchen had just what we needed. I believe the water is well water, so if you are sensitive to the taste of water you may want to bring a jug of drinking water. Also the listing says firewood provided but it is NOT provided. Plan on stopping at Thriftways in town for wood. The wood stove puts out good heat, and the baseboard heaters keep things cozy. Lots of games, books and DVDs to keep you entertained. Both bedrooms are pretty similar to each other (no views of the water as they are at the back of the cabin). Unlike many waterfront cabins, there are no stairs from the parking area to the cabin door. We had such a lovely, rainy spring weekend.

This place is fantastic! Everything is as described! The view is so peaceful and I will definitely come back!

We’ve lived in Washington for a while and somehow this was our first trip to Vashon. It feels like you are so far away from it all even though you aren’t. This was an excellent rental with a great relaxing space to hang out. We very much enjoyed the location. Great spot for morning coffee and kitchen was equipped with plenty of things to make a nice dinner. We would absolutely stay again!

My son and I enjoyed the peaceful vibe here. The home reminded me so much of friends' beach cabins I occasionally visited in the late 70s/early 80s. Familiar and fun. Comfortable beds, stellar views!

Great place to stay on a windy and wet November weekend. We played games, enjoyed the beautiful view and cooked meals together. The cabin had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable. Loved the wood burning stove! Host was quick to respond to my few questions. Super easy check in and check out.

Great place to relax away from it all. Private and comfortable with amazing views of Quartermaster Harbor. We didn’t need one single thing while there. And we were happy it rained so we didn’t feel pressured to do one single thing. It would have been so cool to see the orcas from the cabin’s deck! They were spotted in the harbor after we were there!

My BFF and I stayed 4 nights at this lovely cabin on the water on the Maury Island part of Vashon. Cabin was spacious, clean, very comfortable and well-equipped. Amazing 180 degree water views from the huge front windows and large deck. Caretakers are right next door and quickly helped us with a few needs. Loved our time on Vashon - farm stands, unique shops, great coffee and food. Beautiful beaches, lighthouse and the amazing troll!! Highly recommend this cabin and location. Thanks to our host for making it available and so easy to rent!!

A girls trip to meet our cousin and his wife who live in Vashon Island. The deck was wonderful for early morning coffee and catching up since we came from Arkansas, Texas, and Florida. Thanks to the host for making it such a welcoming and comfortable place.

So peaceful. Dead end street. Surrounded by nature and views. Slept in for the 1st time in 20 years. All appliances clean and working! Only having one bathroom required a little bit of coordination for us 4 spoiled adults but we adulted and worked it out. Only suggestion would be to hang a small mirror in each bedroom for guests to use so as not to block the bathroom. Okay, so us ladies can pretty ourselves up without blocking the bathroom. Lol Had a great stay and looking forward to our next visit!

This is a very relaxing cabin on the waters of Quartermaster Harbor. Wonderful spot to hang out and enjoy the peaceful island.

Really enjoyed letting my toddler walk around on the deck without worrying too much for his safety! We loved seeing the seals in the harbor. Overall a great spot.

Vashon is a great escape from city life, and this cabin is the cream. You can see bald eagles, herons, otters, seals and deer while enjoying evening sun and watching the boats going past while enjoying a good book. There are many hikes around. Don't miss the story trail in the Burton Woods.

Home had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Views and deck are incredible! Loved the selection of games and old school CD player. We were charmed by Vashon Island as well.

So peaceful, with the ever-changing water and otters, eagles, and various other birds right outside our lovely big windows. House is fully equipped for cooking, but many good take out options nearby. Spent a week hiking around the islands, playing table top games and reading in the house, with one easy day trip to Seattle. Lovely! Only thing I’d tell my past self is to arrive off the ferry with plenty of time to drive before dark - the directions are perfect, but driving around the island in the dark is a little harrowing for our party of city-dwellers.

This is a beautiful location for this comfortable cabin. The kitchen is well stocked and the deck is large. Lots of games, books, and DVD's for rainy days. The best part, besides the view, was the frequent bald eagle sightings!
