WONDERFUL 3 BEDROOM LAKEFRONT HOME WITH GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD PARK
Belle maison au bord du lac à Vermilion, Ohio. L'intérieur est en pin noueux avec une cheminée, avec trois très grandes chambres, une grande cuisine, un grand salon / salle à manger spacieux. Récemment rénové, il y a 2 belles salles de bains et 3 grandes chambres. Notre maison est charmante, confortable et impeccable.
Avec une grande cour arrière privée qui jouxte le lac Érié, notre maison est parfaite pour «s'asseoir» au bord de l'eau et regarder les couchers et levers de soleil vraiment superbes sur le lac Érié. Il y a un grand parc pour les enfants à quelques pas à pied / à vélo dans la rue. Faites une sieste et attrapez les alizés de l'après-midi, ou ouvrez les fenêtres la nuit et attrapez le vent et le bruit des vagues.

Views were amazing, neighborhood quiet. Master bedroom was well appointed and comfortable. Loved having two tables inside the home, and, of course, more tables outside for extra seating and room for board games and puzzles. Fully equipped with all the accessories of home.
As a senior I would suggest a few helpful add-ons upstairs; mirror in each bedroom upstairs to eliminate bathroom congestion and blinds in one bedroom that doesn't currently have them. Bathroom: a shower caddy, and perhaps a folding, portable shower chair for ease of transition for older family members. Either lower shower curtain or purchase a weighted curtain so it doesn't billow out while showering; this would prevent water from going on the floor outside of the shower. Very minor upgrades will only improve this very lovely home.
Special home and I will return in the future. Tranquility at its finest.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home situated right on the shores of Lake Erie. We just sat in the breeze and the sun and soaked up the peace. The home was clean and generous in size. We had family visit and they all loved it. Thanks for the memories. We will hopefully be back.

We loved our stay! It exceeded our expectations. Being on the Lake was exactly what we needed. The place was comfortable and pleasant in every way. We could gather together for a meal and quiet conversation. Our favorite thing was to sit outside in the morning and evenings watching the sun and the wind play upon the water. The bird watching too was so much fun: ducks, cardinals, blue jays, woodpeckers, bald eagles, herons!
The place was uplifting and restorative! It was a lovely retreat in between our daughter’s college graduation events, and great for much needed relaxation post graduation. We feel so fortunate to have found this great gem of a place!

mostly very happy with the house and our stay the only thing I would have to complain about was that when we arrive door was unlocked and even after messaging and texting her we were never told where a key or key pad was so we always locked the front door each day and would have to leave a back door unlocked other than that was a great stay

This is our second year staying at Kate's place and it was again a nice stay. It's a great spot to relax and the home is always ready to go when we walk in the door. We had some bad luck with weather towards the end of our stay but the house kept us safe and Kate helped make us feel comfortable. We'll be back again in the future, thanks for letting us stay again!

My sister and I already plan to return next year. The house was very comfortable for our needs and canine companion. The location only 6 minutes from downtown Vermillion and the view of the lake perfect. I listened to the waves at night while in bed.

We have stayed at this cottage several times over the last few years, and we keep coming back for more than one reason. The location is excellent - close to the quaint town of Vermillion, Cedar Point, and Catawba. And the cottage itself is comfortable and spacious, with a large backyard overlooking the lake. So peaceful!!

Wonderful house! It had every amenity. Host was great to talk with. I could set in the back and look at the lake all day. My favorite part was the bed. It was so comfortable! I know that seems trivial in such a beautiful home but I love a good mattress.

The view from the property was stunning and there was plenty of space for the four of us. It was nice having the small grocery across the street.
Check in/check out were easy and Kate responded quickly to the few questions I had. Loved Vermillion and the other local towns and attractions. We went to Sandusky, Huron and Loraine along with CVNP. So many beautiful places to visit and amazing restaurants.

View of lake and sunsets is very nice. No direct access to water. Need to drive for beach, fishing or any water activities. House remodeling was very nice. Bed downstairs was comfortable but upstairs mattresses were hard. Kitchen well equipped and everything was very clean. WiFi worked in all rooms except in downstairs bedroom. Overall good experience. Will probably look for a place closer to water activities.

Older cottage which has been nicely rehabbed; plenty of comfortable space for 4 adults and a child plus having a full bathroom on each living level was very convenient. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and there were plenty of towels and bedding and toiletries! We found an assortment of board games plus a pool table. The homeowner added some fresh English muffins, butter, jam and half & half to the refrigerator for our first breakfast. Very thoughtful! Although home overlooks Lake Erie, it has no access to the lake as there is a ledge at the end of the property with the lake at the bottom of the ledge; the yard was fenced at the ledge as a precaution, so no beach, no paddling. Nice patio at the back of the home with table, chairs & grill. Gorgeous sunset. Cute little bodega across the street which was very well stocked. The only down side was that evidently our visit coincided with annoying little may flies (or whatever they are called) and their presence reduced our enjoyment of the yard until my husband purchased some bug fogger which helped a bit. Neighbors were friendly and the town of Vermilion was scenic with several good restaurant options (plus a good sized grocery store a mile or two away). Don't miss an opportunity to visit Schoepfle Garden Park in Birmingham--just beautiful and things for the kids to do too! Wonderful family reunion!

Great trip except for the very cold and windy weather on Friday and Saturday....not much could have been done to fix that. The upstairs bedrooms were cold though but cold weather not normal for this time of year.

Our weekend was a get together of two couples, old friends who had not seen much of each other recently and who were all finally fully vaccinated. The house was just as described. Very well equipped, and immaculate. Kate, our host, was very gracious, helpful, and responsive to any questions. The yard facing Lake Erie is a perfect place to sit and watch a sunset, observe some interesting wildlife like the eagles from a nearby nest, or cookout on the grill. I only gave the neighborhood 4 stars because not all the properties nearby are nearly as nice, but the less attractive ones were also primarily on the road side of the house, away from the lake. Any people we encountered were very friendly. The road was used by folks on bikes, joggers, power walkers, and some just out for a stroll. There is a little store across the street that came in handy, and there’s a larger grocery store a couple miles away for bigger needs. Internet bandwidth at the house is adequate, but on the low side, so I would not plan to do any ‘heavy lifting’ on your devices while there. Since the natural beauty of the place was a good reason to put those devices away, it wasn’t really an issue for us. There’s also a “Clubhouse” a few doors down that would probably make an excellent venue for a larger group event... when we can have those again. All in all, a perfect place for a long awaited ‘vaccication’ weekend.

Beautiful lake views to watch the sun slip into Lake Erie each night. Very relaxing setting. Close to charming Vermilion with great restaurants and unique gift shopping. Hosts are very accommodating. Cottage is well-stocked with amenities. Some minor property construction going on now, but did not disrupt our activities nor entertainment of our guests. Loved it!!

We decided on this cottage because of close proximity to the airport and price, and amenities of a washer and dryer. Well, the washer knob was broke by a previous renter and then the owners had scheduled for a repair man to come fix it. That was during the 1st week we were there (we stayed 3 1/2 weeks). The repair wasn't completed during our stay. The views were wonderful and very photogenic. We weren't able to go down to the water's edge and henceforth there is no opportunity for fishing or swimming from property. It was nice to have a fireplace in the house. Kate was kind and brought a few treats during our stay. The store across street was convenient. Overall, it was a quiet experience. We did get to see an eagle in flight, but it wasn't a bald eagle. Friendly neighborhood. It was nice to go out back with a cup of coffee and relax and hear the waves crashing into the break wall. The temperatures were great, even with the cold rain for a few days. Too bad there wasn't any snow for us to enjoy.
