Over the years we've rented several properties in Hanalei and each one had something special about it, but NamHee's home seemed to aggregate all the things we loved from each place into one. Lanai's are key and the large screened in lanai with daybeds made for a very amazing place to read quietly by day and by night the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail. The house has a wonderful flow, it's open, clean and uncluttered with a contemporary island vibe. The location is perfect, just close enough to walk to everything, but off of Weke and the highway so there's no car traffic. I would definitely rent NamHee's home again!

This home was perfect for our family of five and in an ideal location between the beach and town. Additionally, NamHee is a fantastic host. Her home is so perfect that we really didn’t need her help, but we did reach out once with a simple question about the trash and she responded within minutes. We couldn’t have asked for any more than that and can’t wait to return.

We loved our stay in Hanali Bay at NamHee’s beautiful home. It was absolutely perfect for us! The house was clean, organized, had lots of character and colorful artwork. We loved the screened porch with gorgeous view of the mountains. Location is in the heart of Hanali, close to the beach and shops. Everything you will need for the beach is provided. Nam Hee was wonderful and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again in the future!

We loved our time at this home. It’s in the perfect location within walking distance to both the beach and town. The house has everything you need with fantastic views from every window. The screened-in front porch was our favorite for yoga, morning coffees or just late nite conversations. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful to any question we had. We can’t wait to plan our next vacation there.

This is the third time we have stayed in Hanalei and this house is the best by far! It is beautifully appointed, has plenty of space and is in a prime location. Extremely clean, comfortable, and well equipped vacation home. Within short walking distance to the beach, grocery and gift shopping and plenty of restaurants, food trucks, and coffee houses. House had very comfortable beds, cold AC, fast wifi, and useful extras including beach towels, beach chairs, carts, coolers, and snorkeling equipment. Host (Namhee) was very easy to reach and helpful with information about the area (the entire island, actually). Loved our stay.

We so enjoyed NamHee’s beautiful home. It was so comfortable for our family and she was such a pleasure to work with! We loved the outdoor shower, the lanai was such a treat, and every room had such a great view! Even doing dishes was a pleasure! The kitchen was equipped with anything you’d ever need. We felt so at home. Even beach toys for our little ones and kart to push them to and from town & beach. Which is only about a 5 minute walk if that. And oh man was it hard to leave. Highly recommend this property and the owner for a vacation in paradise. :)

I honestly don't know where to begin because everything (the house, the location, Nam Hee) was perfect. The house was very clean, the furnishings and artwork were awesome and made the house feel like a home, not just a rental. The layout was great. The huge screened porch was wonderful. The views of the mountains were superb. Everything you will need for the beach is provided. We loved the location. We walked everywhere. Nam Hee is probably the best homeowner we have rented from and we have stayed in many homes all over the world. Her communication from the beginning was beyond helpful, especially during this year when there were so many uncertainties (COVID & the road closure). She was constantly giving us updates and information leading up to our arrival. She was a wealth of information about restaurants, activities, vendors, etc. Most importantly we had a tsunami watch one evening during our stay and she called us immediately to tell us what to do and where to go. And when the watch was cancelled later that evening she called again to make sure we knew. This was our third time staying in Hanalei and this was, by far, my favorite home that we have stayed in. Highly Recommend!

What a gem in Hanalei! This is our second time visiting Hanalei and I’m so glad that we found Nam-Hee’s property for this trip. We are used to staying in 4/5 star hotels and felt so comfortable and at home at this property for our week-long stay. The house has everything you would need, including very comfortable beds and linens. The kitchen is well-stocked with gadgets, which we ended up using most nights. When we were there, there were 2 beach carts, an umbrella, beach chairs, and plenty of beach toys for our toddler (we also left some more behind!). The layout was great for 2 couples and a toddler, offering plenty of privacy and noise-control. A very special aspect of the property was the screened in lanai… heaven. Nam-Hee was extremely communicative and accommodating before and during our stay. Easy walk into town and to the beach (through a little passage-way about 2 blocks away). Again, what a gem!

The house is in fantastic condition and a superb location. 2 blocks from town and 2 locks from the beach. And Namhee is an exceptional host - extremely accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

Namhee's home is a beautiful oasis located in the center of Hanalei. The house itself is incredibly clean and comfortable, decorated like a chic Hawaiian surfer home. My family and I enjoyed grabbing coffee & pastries every morning just a few minutes walk away from the house, and relaxing all afternoon on the beach across the street. We are so lucky to be able to experience Kauai and stay in such an amazing home! It's comfort and convenience is exactly what you need for the perfect vacation :)

We loved our stay in this perfectly appointed Hanalei home which has access town and the beach with very short walks. The house is quintessential Hanalei: a beach getaway that is comfortable, elegant, and peaceful. I don't know which I loved more: the outdoor shower or the screened in porch where we napped and relaxed daily. The view of the mountains and waterfalls from the kitchen and other parts of the house put your soul at ease. We'll be back....many times. This oasis deserves another visit.

I knew we would have a good time in Hanalei but Nam Hee's home made our visit incredible. This woman has incredible taste and the home is not only beautiful, but perfect for a comfortable vacation. It is very well decorated with accents that reflect a casual beauty-vibe. We found ourselves spending hours on the screened lanai - reading, enjoying cocktails and just hanging out. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need and the bedding and towels are high quality. Besides the lanai, we couldn't get enough of the outdoor shower...there was always a line. We rented a car but this home is walking distance to the beach and town so we barely used it. Great restaurants in Hanalei and the beach was only a block away. In addition, the food trucks, shopping and the Saturday Farmers Market kept us close to home. I am already planning my next visit to this incredible home!!

We really enjoyed our stay. House was clean and well maintained. The “modern” surf styled home was inviting to hangout in. The home was thoughtfully stocked with anything we needed. We appreciated having the pull along beach cart and body boards. NamHee was very responsive and even warned us about high surf days with some alternate suggestions. Location was great I would highly recommend.

The house was super clean, and everything looked like new. The Location was good. 5 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to the „town“ walking. We stayed with our 2 year old son. Therefore we needed a lot of things at the beach. The only thing we missed was a beach trolley. But there where beach seats, boogie boards and a lot of other beach stuff at the home. The bugs outside could be a little bit annoying so it was perfect that the lanai outside has everywhere fly screens. So, when you want to stay in hanalei i think this is really good place to live.

Our family with 3 young kids had a wonderful time staying at NamHee’s beach house. The home was very well decorated and appointed with everything we needed. We enjoyed walking to the best beach in Kauai and the local town center with charming restaurants, shops and markets. The farmers market on Saturdays is a must. The view of the mountains from the kitchen window was breathtaking. Namhee was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Our family of five stayed at Namhee's house in Hanalei and had a wonderful and relaxing time. The house was beautiful and only a short walk in one direction to the amazing Hanalei Bay and a short walk in the other to food and shopping options. Our host was very helpful with suggestions and information. Her house is in a quiet and calm location -- perfect for the relaxation we were hoping to find. We were very comfortable and used the kitchen as well as the beach gear. Everything was tasteful and clean and looked brand new. Very nice. Next time, maybe surfing lessons!

NamHee was a wonderful host. Upon confirming our reservation, she made some great recommendations for dinners out and for activities in the area, such as kayaking & other water activities that our family inquired about and ultimately enjoyed. Her home in Hanalei was furnished nicely and we were very comfortable In her lovely home during our stay . We had everything we needed to prepare meals in the kitchen, the beds were comfortable and the views were especially breathtaking. We enjoyed the air conditioning during our time spent inside. Her home is very convenient to both the town of Hanalei and the beautiful beach. We walked or rode bikes to both places most days . The beach chairs & boogie boards provided were put to good use as well. We picked a couple of yummy papayas from the tree in the back yard of NamHee’s home. There was even a paypaya picker that was provided & it was fun for my son to use to pick the fruit for my daughter and I. I also walked across the street on Saturday morning to the farmers market & bought fresh coconut & coconut water & some other fresh fruits and veggies. Delish! The vendors were chatty & very friendly. Our family made lasting memories & would love to have the chance to someday stay again. Mahalo for sharing your home in paradise with us. The Shaw Family

We booked a home in Haena for our family's July vacation only to find out later that THAT home was inaccessible. I quickly searched a home that would meet our needs and found this beautiful home in Hanalei. It was ideal for our group which consisted of three boys ages 10-12, my 83 year old mother, my wife and me. Nam Hee was a pleasure to talk to from the beginning and she was easy to reach throughout our stay. This felt like a home and not a house. It had magazines, travel guides and maps. The home is situated in a quiet residential cut-de-sac equidistant from the Ching Young Village and Hanalei bay. Our boys enjoyed riding their bikes from the house to the nearby beach access and to the town center where all the shops and to the two shave ice locations. The house itself is very very well stocked for an enjoyable stay. The A/C was cold and available throughout the house when needed. The kitchen was the best stocked VRBO home we've rented. It had Sur-la Table cookware, wine glasses, filtered hot/cold water, full sized appliances and. a very good drip coffee machine. There were staples like oils, salt/pepper, a spice drawer and even some Asian cooking ingredients which my wife used. My wife and boys enjoyed lounging in the Lanai which was comfortable day and night. We used the assortment of chairs, toys, boogie boards, a cooler for drinks, umbrella and beach tent. This is a huge savings since most of this equipment is rented in nearby stores to other visitors. There is a Saturday morning market from 9:30 am to noon which we found to be a delightful way to buy local produce and handmade goods. I would probably recommend the larger grocery store in Princeville for a full kitchen stocking. The local Big Save is remarkably well stocked for a small store. In summary, we would love to return over and over to stay here. Please be aware that after April's devastating flood, the road to Haena is currently available to local traffic only. With a few exceptions like the road to the pier (still accessible via the beach) and a few shops/restaurants, Hanalei is back to normal.

Beautiful, comfortable and very well appointed. 6 of us had space and privacy. The location is a lovely five minute walk to the beach or town. The screened-in Lanai is a huge bonus and a great place for yoga, reading, naps or mai tais. NamHee was quick to respond if we had a question about anything. I can't imagine a better house in Hanalei, we loved every minute of our vacation and hope to stay here again and again and again!
