We had a great stay in the penthouse - with a wonderful view of the tower. It was a nice place to get away from the crowns and heat but close to St Marks and lots of restaurants and shops.

We loved our stay in this stunning and spacious apartment. It’s got everything you need and the unique loft design with exposed beams was a great feature. It was close to everything yet secure and quiet.
Just around the corner from the entry is a quite spot by the canal where you can watch the gondolas and boats go by.
Highly recommend this place.

Nice location, 5 minutes from the Basilica.
Bought a multi-day water taxi pass and used that to navigate the area. nice sandwich coffee shop 50 yards away. Everything worked well.

The apartment is beautiful and spaciously sized for three adults. We enjoyed staying in central San Marco without worrying about the noise. The check-in process was smooth and informative, but we didn't see the same level of support throughout. On the first morning we awoke to a strong sulphuric smell emanating from the AC in the bedroom and dining room. When we reached out to the PM, he said he'd check on it, but never followed up with us. The smell continued every morning of our stay even though we left the ACs off after the first night. The smell may be harmless, or within the building air ducts not the unit, but it was certainly anomalous to us and we had hoped it would be addressed during our stay.

In the heart of everything but in a quiet location. Took a vaporetto from the airport - fun way to arrive and we were met at the stop and walked to the apartment. Easy check in process. The apartment has air conditioning and once turned on, the property cooled off.

The apartment is gorgeous convenient and comfortable! The location cannot be beat- down a quiet Calle but near st Marco the host has provided helpful tips for eating well and a well stocked kitchen for staying in. The beds were comfortable, the heat and ac worked well, having 2 bathrooms was perfect! We’d definitely go back!

The location was perfect for exploring the city's treasures, and the accommodations were comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. A huge thank you to our host for making our Venice experience unforgettable! Can't wait to return for another dose of Venetian charm.

Perfect place for a unique Venice experience! Cable service for the TV didn’t work and there were a few lights that didn’t work as well. While they didn’t ruin my trip it may for others.

This apartment is very unique. The design take you back in history as you look at how well preserved the wood used for the inside was placed to give the place a romantic setting. The property manager was awesome.

The apartment location is ideal. It's a short walk from Piazza San Marco. Although there is no elevator, the stairs were easy to manage.
The place is very clean, and the pictures are accurate. I would definitely enjoy staying here again.

From initial booking to arrival, the communication was excellent and help getting to the apartment was greatly appreciated and went very well. We arrived during the film festival so all private water taxis were not available when we arrived but Giulio and Elena walked use right through what to do to arrive and start to enjoy our stay. The location is excellent. Close to everything! Literally minutes walks to any destination in Venice. The space is large, the head space is a bit of an issue I’m 6’2” so just had to duck a bit. The people of Venice were very friendly and it made our trip one to remember for all the right reasons!
The apartment is down a narrow pathway and it’s a bit dark but we always felt safe as there are many side streets that have many hidden places to explore.

This apartment looks exactly like the pictures. It was only a few minutes from San Marco square and Rialto bridges making it a prime location. We loved the decor and wood beams. Giulio and his daughter,

We were met at Rialto bridge after taking a water boat from the airport and escorted to the apartment and shown all of the features of the apartment. The apartment is open (one bedroom) but very spacious and was prefect for our family with 2 teens. The apartment was clean and well stocked. The location was excellent, only a few minutes to Piazza San Marco but very quiet. Ed was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The apartment is very unique and the architecture is stunning.

Awesome location, ease of check in/check out, clean, fun (different from your typical apartment), spacious (super comfortable for 4), 2 bathrooms + kitchen, lots of options for sitting and relaxing. We loved it!

We had a most pleasant stay at Edward’s property. The apartment itself is so unique and comfortable, the location is central and the apartment has all the amenities one might need for a short or extended stay. Many food recommendations were provided by the host which was an added bonus.

5 min from st marks plaza down a quiet alley in historic building. This was our 5th apartment stay in a 2 week trip across Italy all in VRBO apartments. Pros: location, spacious, full kitchen with all pots, plates, toaster, etc. AC worked great despite being converted attic space and 90 degrees outside. Very quiet, no street noise. Full size washer with instruction manual was great. Things that could make this rental even better: setting up a self check in process or lockbox for the keys. We did have to wait until 1430 to check in instead of 12pm due to manager’s schedule (though to be fair this was communicated to me in advance. But our prior city’s VRBO was not flexible on a later check out so after arriving by train, we had to hang out with all our luggage for a couple hours at the restaurant at the corner of the street Osteria San Marco until check in. It worked out as they had space for us and the food was good though it was our most expensive meal in Venice. The apartment owner did recommend eating around train station which would have been cheaper as an alternative but we were not as familiar with that area). A few small touches would have been nice: providing new kitchen sponges, small soaps/shampoos for shower (we bring our own but some people may not be prepared), replacing the towels which are a bit thin. The things you must know before coming are there are a lot of steps, essentially 4 flights up. Not a problem for us but good cardio workout. watch out for beams!

This is the most unique property we stayed in during our visit to Italy, and it was absolutely stunning. A short walk (1 minute) from the water taxi that the property manager and architect, Guilio, coordinated for us and you are in your primo location. It is literally a 5 minute walk from St. Mark's square. It was a nice and quiet neighborhood and building.
It would be wonderful if they would turn the A/C on prior to your arrival, because you are on the 5th floor and it takes some time to cool down, but really that was our only issue. (and I think their cleaning crew tends to turn it off even though they ask them to keep it on, so I think they are trying!)
We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Unique flat 100% as advertised---great location, historic charm, comfortable beds and lots of room for our group of 4 to spread out and get some downtime in as well! Fedra was so helpful meeting us at Rialto and walking us to the apartment, showing us how everything worked etc. She provided great recommendations for restaurants and helped us the next day when we couldn't figure out how to work the handheld shower in the bathtub (jetlagged brain-it was so simple)! :-) Thank you for sharing your beautiful home; we hope to be back and will stay again---and will recommend to others as well!

We loved this apartment, low beams and all. My husband did hit his head several times during our stay, but it was spacious and the location was fabulous. It was quiet and comfortable, and having two bathrooms was excellent for our family of four with two teenagers. We worried a bit about the many stairs to get up to the apartment but with all the walking you do in Venice anyway, we hardly noticed the stairs after the first time up. Excellent bar just just the street for morning coffee and pastries, right in the heart of the San Marco district for access to tours and shopping (But just far enough out of the fray to avoid crowds and noise). Would definitely recommend!

Literally 4 min walk to St Marks square. One of the coolest apartments we have ever rented. It's in a great shopping district with lots of restaurants. A spectacular view of the tower day and night. The beds were comfortable. Our only thought was some fans would make sleeping a little more comfortable. Perhaps we just didn't find them.

Our family of 4 (including a 13 and 9 year old) enjoyed this apartment. It was in a great location and was everything we needed for our stay in Venice. Owner was very helpful, including in arranging transport to and from. Recommended!

Great view on campanile 😉
No regrets.

Wow, its hard to express how great our stay was there.
The property manger met us after we got off our water taxi and escorted us to the penthouse. The architecture was spectacular. The exposed beams and braces, the attention to detail in the restoration made this the perfect spot for our stay.
We are pretty picky with the cleanliness aspect and the place was spotless. The beds were comfortable and the whole apartment was spacious. The washing machine was small compared to the 158L washer we have at home and took a long time each cycle but having it was a godsend
We did not make use of the fully equipped kitchen but having a cold beverage in the fridge after a day of walking was perfect. The rooftop views were spectacular as well.
The location. Literally 1 minute to Piazza San Marco but off on its own so that you do not have to deal with the relentless crush of people. The alley dead ends to a canal and you can if you open the windows hear the gondoliers singing from time to time.
I have to admit I am somewhat envious of the owner here having the foresight to restore and carve out the perfect little spot in the heart of Venice.
It was not an issue for us but there are multiple flights of stairs to climb so be forewarned.

The apartment was beautiful with architectural features that were unique and complimented the timelessness of the building. The location was so close to St. Mark’s Square so walking to the main sites was a breeze! Giulio was easy to communicate with and very responsive and helpful! 5 stars all the way!!

This was a great and spacious place to stay, stocked with all kinds of things to make our trip more comfortable.
A word of caution - there are a LOT of stairs to haul your luggage up. This location is definitely meant for health/fit adults/children.

The apartment is walkable to many sites. It’s close to shops and restaurants, yet off a quiet street. Giulio (the property manager) was very responsive, he picked us up from the Rialto boat stop and walked us to the apartment. He also recommended restaurants and was very helpful with other info. The apartment is very charming, clean, and has all the amenities one needs to have a comfortable stay. We even cooked one day. If it’s your first time in Venice be prepared for the mosquitos, do pack mosquito repellent. Also be prepared for an ocasional whiff from the canals.

Our host was very helpful and met us at the Vaporetto to take us to the apartment (also booked a water taxi to take us back to the train station at the end of our stay. The apartment was spacious and the beams were beautiful, just watch your head on the bedroom door. It was so quiet apart from the occasional romantic sound of the Gondaliers singing and the church bells. Definitely bring mozzie spray, however the apartment does have refillable plug in mozzie repellant things. There were a lot of stairs but they balanced out the amount of gelato, pizza and pasta that we ate. We really enjoyed staying in this apartment.

Beautiful architecture in city center
Even better than the listing suggested. The architecture is contemporary without losing sight of the tradition in the building and its materials. The apartment is located in the center of Venice and the host included thoughtful and accurate recommendations.
The only caution I would note is that if stairs are going to be a problem for you, then this location may not be what you're looking for. For us it was part of the charm and experience of the city.

Room with a roof top view
The apartment is really quirky and has an amazing roof top view over towards St. Marks Square. We went with a 12 and 14 year old and they loved the accessibility of it. We were in the centre but the apartment was silent except for the singing of the gondoliers' as they passed below and the church bells.
It was very clean and had all the equipment you needed for your stay. We were there for 8 nights so did a mixture of cooking and eating out.
The communication with the owner was excellent and everything worked like clockwork.
We would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful for three young children
We moved the location and style of property. Thank you so much for making our stay in Venice memorable. Next time however we will bring mosquito repellent!

My family (2 adults 2 children) had a very pleasant stay here. The apartment is great. It wasn't perfectly clean when we arrived but the owner took care of that immediately. Communication was very good. It is near St Marcus square which is good and bad, because you have a terrible amount of tourists in the narrow streets. But the apartment itself is quiet.

Perfect home base for a Venetian Holiday
The location of this apartment is ideal for enjoying the busy San Marco district in Venice. Easy access to the vaporetto stops at Rialto and San Marco make travel anywhere in the island areas extremely simple. The apartment is comfortable and actually spacious with plenty of area for eating, lounging, sleeping. The two restrooms make getting ready easier for multiple people. We loved our stay!

Wonderful Apartment and Hosts
We stayed 2 nights in this wonderful apartment located perfectly to explore the city. The apartment is roomy and bright, mixes the 500 year old building with modern fit out. Guilio met us at our airport water taxi stop, and even organized a water taxi to collect us on departure at the canal 40 steps from the front door.
Some people may struggle with the 60-odd stairs, but we and our kids loved making games up and down and consider they merited more of the magnificent food we consumed.
We would return to this apartment in a heartbeat; and would recommend it to any family or couple traveling to Venice.
Fantastic start to our trip.
