The cabin had awesome views and was clean. Felt like almost like being in off grid Montana but with modern conveniences. The owner had excellent communication via the app. I would be glad to stay there again

This is our 4th time, very quiet, comfortable, all the things we need in one place to enjoy our holiday.

Beautiful little cabin in a peaceful spot
Very cute, remodeled cabin, comfortably sleeps 4. Only 5 minutes outside Whitefish, but very peaceful. Kerris is a great hostess, and let us look at the property before check-in (since we had to find it in the dark after a music festival). Charming and private, it was everything we needed!

Perfect little cabin in the woods
Clean, well-stocked, great communication with the owners. Close to Whitefish, but just far enough away to hear the silence that surrounds you. Morning coffee time usually involved a deer sighting or two and always involved beautiful views. Would definitely stay here again!

Not very clean
I was pleased to see this listing allowed pets, but in reality you are sharing the yard with the owners dogs and they do not pick up after their dogs. We wanted to use the sofa bed but when we removed the sofa cushions there were crumbs underneath so obviously had not been vacuumed.

Enjoyed our stay!
Nice little place. If you are looking for quiet this is the place. The owners live there but we hardly saw them and when we did we had a great visit. Saw deer on most trips to town. The cabin is perfect for two and the only problem is it could use some updating with a better couch and better pillows and maybe more things in the kitchen. Overall it was a good stay.

Great location!
Truly enjoyed staying in this cabin. It is hidden away in a beautiful forest, while being conveniently close to downtown Whitefish, Whitefish lake and parks, many biking trails, and about 45 minutes away from Glacier. Worked great for our family!

GREAT PLACE!
This cabin was a great find! Out of town and peaceful, we watched the moon set every night. Great view, bright, airy with a great cheerful vibe. Slept like a baby on the very comfortable bed. The couch was even perfect for sleeping. The host was super nice and accommodating. I really can't say enough about this place. We really, really enjoyed our stay.

Beatiful Cabin outside Whitefish
Situated on beautiful ridge overlooking valley with trail right behind the cabin. Very quiet and peaceful and close to many hiking trail. There was mixup upon our arrival that was remedied quickly by our host.

Montana getaway
Cabin was cute, clean and had a beautiful view! Listing said it was secluded, which it was only 10 steps away from owners large house. Much closer to house than pictures suggest. However, the owners were respectful and friendly and left us alone. Still the hammock was basically in their yard so we didn’t use it. That would be my only complaint. Still the cabin was adorable and comfortable and clean.

Mountain Getaway
We enjoyed our stay--good location, safe environment, quiet, comfortable bed, and clean. Our only issues were with the bedroom window and how the pull down shade still lets in a lot of light, which makes it difficult to go to sleep (in June) and sleep in. We averaged about 6 hours of sleep per night, but the bed was very comfortable. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to consider bringing an eye mask. Also, we did not bring bear spray because the listing said that it was provided. After not being able to locate it in the rental (and seeing a bear on our hike in Glacier on our first day), I contacted the owner. She got back to me that day and said that the previous renters must have taken it. So we ended up going down to Walmart and bought a can for $30 just to be safe.

Enjoyable stay!
We really enjoyed our time at this location. Quiet and clean. Other than breakfast, we did not cook during our stay. There is not a dishwasher. Only a problem if you hate to hand wash dishes!

Excellent getaway in a beautiful location
This is a lovely cabin in a beautiful area, just 5-10 minutes outside downtown Whitefish. My husband and I stayed here for two weeks, bringing our two dogs. Everyone enjoyed themselves.
The owners were very responsive to all of our questions and we would love to stay there again.

Great stay!
Great cabin. Great views. Great location. Great stay. We booked this as a last minute cross country trip after our trip to Iceland was canceled. Montana offered us stunning views and amazing hikes. This cabin was the perfect base camp for us to explore the national forests and local trails. It’s close to town and close to recreation. The owner was available if needed, but we didn’t have any problems. We love Montana and will be back again!

Quiet Getaway
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was quiet and quaint, nestled in the woods. It was just what we were looking for! Close to town but peaceful. The owners are great and attentive. The fireworks were amazing to watch! Our children loved the owners dogs and horses. We will be back!

Exceptional Property
We spent two nights at Kerris’ cabin on a recent visit to Whitefish. The property was exceptionally clean and the views are fantastic. Kerris was very responsive to our questions. Our only complaint is that the sleeper sofa is pretty old, slanted, and uncomfortable. Be sure to wander up the trail behind the house - the wildflowers are abundant!

The place was perfect, just far enough out of town but close enough to all the amenities. Great views and had deer in yard every time we woke and looked outside!

Great base for travel or stay here your entire trip
We enjoyed the location, the coziness, and the beautiful surroundings. We were very comfortable and the view from the large windows is very relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped if you need that option. We used the cabin primarily as a base for hiking in Glacier National Park. Some driving is required but it was so nice to come back to the secluded cabin after a long day of hiking. Whitefish is only a very short drive and it is a very nice town with plenty of good restaurants. We hope to stay in the KM Ranch Cabin again soon.

Nice Quiet Cabin
We enjoyed our stay at KM Ranch Hideaway. The location is wonderful overlooking the valley below. The owner is next door but we never saw him. So he was available but not intrusive. The dogs are friendly and range limited so they can't come to your private porch on the other side.

Great cabin, beautiful location.
We were there for a five-night stay while we visited Whitefish and Glacier, and it was perfect. We loved grilling out, swinging in the hammock, and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. It was a great!

Quiet relaxing get away
We had a wonderful time staying at Kerris and Curtis's cottage. It was comfortable for two adults and two kids. We had a full kitchen and washer and dryer to use. The weather was cool and nice so we were able to go hiking out behind the cottage and enjoy the amazing views from the porch. Their place is very relaxing and quiet! We roasted marshmallows one night and watched the incredible 4th of July fireworks display that happens right in down the road, we had a perfect view! We loved our stay and hope to return next time we are in Montana.

Relaxing visit
Lovely place to end the day relaxing on the porch and watching the sun go down. Great view from bed waking up in the mornings. We hiked the trail behind the house one evening which was very nice. We would stay again for sure!

Great cabin!
The cabin was clean, quiet and spacious. The location is close to lots of things and activities to keep you busy. We grilled outside which was very nice. We saw wild turkeys and deers in the mornings. The views out the cabin views are beautiful. We even saw a black bear and a grizzly at GNP! I would return to this rental and recommend to friends.

Can't beat location - needs better instructions
We stayed here for a week in September and it was wonderful. The location feels remote but you're only 10 minutes from Whitefish, which was really nice. The cabin itself is very nice and was well-appointed for cooking (we love to cook). The view is outstanding and it was very quiet. The back porch is nice and feels secluded.
There are three things I would change that would result in five stars: we had to contact the owner about what to do about a full trash can on just our second day, then I had to text her again when our trash was full a second time. There should be better instructions about what to do when the trash is full. I don't want to spend time on my vacation communicating about trash. Second, the mattress pad is vinyl or plastic and made A TON of noise when we moved around on the bed. It doesn't breathe, either, so made the bed hotter. It needs replacing. Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of warm pillows and blankets, which was great since we left the windows cracked at night and it got a little cold! Finally, we had to buy some of our own supplies - tissues, extra paper towels, and dish soap. Due to user error on the coffee machine, we spilled coffee one morning and used most of the paper towels to clean up that mess. There were no extra rolls (there was plenty of TP). We also had to ask for laundry detergent, which was listed as included. These supplies should be replenished more frequently so guests don't run out and have to ask for basics.

Great location. Enjoyed the stay. The owners were responsive to any inquiries we had.
Curtains over the double doors to block out the sun would have been nice, but that is a minor "complaint".
Very nice.

Kerris is a wonderful host, and the cabin is delightful. You can literally walk right out the back door and hike for miles. The resident dogs are lots of fun, especially little Pedro who immediately made friends with our dogs and accompanied us on hikes. Don't be surprised to see Stella, the mare, at you door. Kerris describes her as a "large dog" who likes to roam the property. This is the perfect spot if you just want to kick back, relax, and be totally low key. I do volunteer work for Glacier Nat. Park in the summer, and I can be at the GNP west entrance in about 35 minutes.

The location of this cozy, clean, well built cabin was excellent! Awesome view from every room in the cabin. The cabin is next door to the owner's house but it feels isolated once inside. Trails at your doorstep can go for miles. Owner's are great people and communication was excellent. I would definitely stay here again if visiting the surrounding area!

Great little house/cabin with a great view overlooking a valley; tremendous sunsets! Kerris had everything in place for our weeklong stay. Will definitely stay at this property again should we find ourselves coming back to Montana.

My husband and I and our dog stayed at Kerris's place for a week in June and loved every minute. Kerris and her fiancé are wonderful and available for anything but stay out of your business unless asked. They have three sweet dogs; Pedro is just too cute for words.
The house has everything you need and is super easy and comfortable. The back deck is great for hanging out and enjoying the tremendous views. It's out of town so it's quiet and serene but close enough that it's an easy drive in when you want to have dinner or explore. It definitely met our needs and expectations and we would stay again if in the area.

Close to Whitefish but far enough away to be able to enjoy quiet nights in a beautiful setting. We like it enough to be return guests.
