Quaint small cabin. Comfortable. Very limited space for extra luggage, hang up clothes. Very convenient location to all local businesses, galleries, restaurants. Excellent walking and biking paths.

It was a very convenient place to stay on our tour of the North Shore.

Location is great. Able to walk to everything! Fun to stay in a log home in downtown Grand Marais. We thought it was somewhat overpriced.

Nestled in the charming embrace of a small town, our stay at Mokki: Dovetail Log Cabin was nothing short of magical. This exquisite cabin, with its traditional dovetail log construction, offered a serene escape into nature without straying far from the quaint local shops and eateries that give the town its character. Surrounded by whispering trees and the gentle sounds of the countryside, the cabin was a cozy sanctuary, blending rustic authenticity with modern comforts. Inside, every detail, from the warm, inviting fireplace to the comfortably furnished bedrooms, was thoughtfully curated to enhance our experience. The hospitality and care from our hosts added a personal touch, making our stay at Mokki not just a vacation, but a home away from home in a picturesque small town setting.

The location is great, the bed was comfortable, the cabin was clean, I prefer a comfortable couch, chair, and we brought our own tv and roku.

Great experience at this well appointed, cute li’l cabin that is easily walkable from all the cool stuff in wonderful Grand Marais. One minor drawback was the mini fridge which was as cute and quaint as the rest of the cabin decor, but not particularly functional. It did not keep things cold and a pool of water formed on the lower shelf. Otherwise, our two-day stay was phenomenal!

The Mokki Dovetail was an awesome alternative to the typical hotel stay. We parked right in front of the cabin throughout our stay. We could walk all around Grand Marais and didn't need our car. Even though we were amazingly close to everything, it was very quiet and relaxing. The full kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. Bring your own Bluetooth speaker and enjoy this gem in town. We will definitely keep it on our list next time we visit.

The cutest cabin just down the block from Jaca Moose. We had so much fun on this beautiful town. To walk home each night to the most perfect little nest of a cabin was amazing.

Excellent, unique property close to the harbor and surrounding entertainment district with privacy and a hot shower that never fails. Walk to every restaurant and brewery. No need to drive in Grand Marais. Highly recommend.

perfect location to walk for coffee, ice cream, dinner in Grand Marais after a day spent hiking or biking in the area

My husband and I stayed for a few days and this was perfect. We anticipated being cold but it was plenty warm (yes, it was summer, but we're soft). Great location, in the heart of town but still quiet enough. A little bigger fridge would be nice, but was good for 3 nights.

Very cute cabin with all the essentials. We loved your quaint cottage and proximity to everything could not be beat :)

Exactly as described. Bare necessities. We never ate there as so close to many restaurants and the brewery was great and practically next door. The loft bed was very comfortable. The pull out was as expected. We loved the deck chairs to relax. Some mosquitos. Still cool when we were there so was comfortable. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Dovetail - Mokki. so close to the sights and good food. also had that Cabin in the woods feel for a little bit of quiet while my wife worked on her novel. Would recommend this quaint cabin.

Enjoyed our stay very much. The stairs proved to be easier than anticipated! I did rearrange the furniture a bit. The only aspect we didn't like was a compressor(or something) at the brewery shut on and off every few seconds. Difficulty to sleep with that noise.
Also, when we arrived, the door was unlocked already.
Thank you for the unique experience.

This was the absolute perfect place to stay while taking a weekend class at North House Folk School! It was just me for this trip, and the Dovetail Mokki cabin was the perfect size. It was so bright and cheerful inside, had everything I needed, and was conveniently located in the heart of Grand Marais (walking distance to everything!). Absolutely loved it and hope to stay again!

This place was perfect for our short 2-night stay. The kitchenette allowed us to prepare our own meals, but we were within walking distance to the entire town! Had everything we needed for a cozy city escape!

We are a close family, I'm the grandma. My daughter and I planned a baby shower for mom to be who lives in meridian. We all live out of town 4 to 5 hours. We were able to use the location to hold the event and stay. The parks located in the neighborhood provided some space for ƙids to play..plus the fooseball table was great. Could have been a little more stocked in the kitchen...vegetable peeler plastic wrap stuff like that...limited pans but we made it work and the shower was very successful, the family's stay was also very comfortable, nice big TV provided the family their much needed football on sunday..i would recommend to family with varied ages for sure

The Mokki Dovetail cabin was the perfect place for a solo trip to Grand Marais. It was very clean, cozy, and walking distance to almost everything in town. I was taking a class at North House Folk School and this cabin couldn't have been more convenient. Highly recommended!

Property was great! Stairs are a little steep to the bedroom so if mobility is an issue it probably isn’t the place for you (this is mentioned on the listing as well). We really enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed four nights despite the gale force winds for three days. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped.

Clean, cozy cabin with all the basic essentials. The seating in the living space could be more comfortable, but overall nice stay and convenient location right behind the brewery.

Charming cabin
This was perfect for our stay while taking a class at NHFS. Quiet street, close to everything. Our only glitch had to do with the lock on the door being frozen, due to very cold temps. We couldn’t get the key in the door unless we heated it. We ended up leaving the door unlocked during our stay, which didn’t prove to be a problem in February. I hope the managers were able to fix things. I would definitely stay there again, lock or no lock!

Simplicity at its best
Delightfully cozy and magically simple. When I walked through the door, I knew I'd be writing, and napping, and reading, while surrounded by simple beauty. It felt like I was in another time. Even though it's in town, one feels secluded in time! Thank you!!
