The view from the house is absolutely stunning. The house itself and furniture are dated, but all in absolutely good working condition. Beds and linens are very comfortable.
There is no air conditioning, but the ocean breeze keeps the house comfortable pretty much at all times. At no point were we suffering from heat. Good excuse to get out in the water too.
If you want access to the water, a fabulous view, and a house for 4 then this is your spot.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning Hawaiian house, and it was an unforgettable experience. We spent a week here, enjoying ocean views from the back patio. The location is great, and the host gives good detailed instructions and is very responsive. The furniture etc is pretty dated, and the kitchen wasn't as well fitted out as would expect. For the price I expected a little more, though we had a nice time there.

As a family of 6 (with kids aging from 2 years old to 8 years old) this house was just the right size. It is located at a perfect spot on Sunset Beach, and the outdoor patio and grass were great for the kids.
I was thankful to find plenty of beach towels, 3 beach chairs, a handful of sand toys and some snorkel masks!
Glenn was SUPER accommodating and a wonderful host. We had a special request and he was more than helpful to meet it!

Loved our time on Sunset beach at this great beach house. Easy beach access, great views, house was clean and well cared for. We swam every day in front of the house, loved walking to Ted’s bakery, and ease of exploring the north shore from this location. Great communication with the owner, check in and out was easy. Highly recommend for your Sunset beach vacation.

This was a beautiful home - right on the ocean! Here are some of the outstanding things -
1- Master- main bed - great mattress - sheets ( could have used another pillow ) but lovely - opening to the ocean - balcony upstair was used more than downstairs patio
2 - Kitchen - pretty well stocked - blender - pans
3 - beach things - umbrella - chairs - beach towels - they had bikes but we didnt use as it is busy area after you get out behind the gates
Felts safe - felts comfortable - It isn't cheap but you pay for the LOCATION and comfort
We still love the N SHore and hope to come back some day again sooner vs later

Enjoyed the location. Kitchen was nicely appointed to prepare meals. Having 6 adults stay here was a little difficult as the additional beds were very uncomfortable. Our biggest issue was finding space to all relax together as the living room had strange setup with outdated and very limited furniture. Would’ve been nice to have furniture that was a bit newer and appropriate for 6-8 people. Overall great location near surfing, food trucks and getting around different sides of the island.

My hubby & I stay on North Shore every couple years, usually with our sons, who are now adults. We booked Glenn's home because it offered 2 master like bedrooms with their own bathrooms so my sister & her husband could join us.
It worked better than we ever dreamed even with our youngest son (who turned 25 during our trip) and his girlfriend joining us!
There was more than enough space. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed & Foodland was super close..
We watched dolphins, seals & turtles daily from the beach at the bottom of his stairs..
The sunsets outdid themselves each night.
The beds were so comfortable in Glenns home, that we all complained to each other, about the Sheraton coconut beach resort in Kauai after beach hopping for our 1st time.
We loved the entire trip but all agreed, next year we'll skip hopping & stay at Glenns for the entire 12 days.
My hubby turned 53, ate zippys & caught fish from the beach with his brother in law & son! My son turned 25 and we all enjoyed a spa day filled with lomi lomi massages from the Alauni then had the most incredible dinner in Haleiwa at Bonzai sushi. Us girls enjoyed paddleboarding, hiking, snorkling the reef & eating shrimp tacos at North Shore taco truck..
It was the best family trip in the best rental we've had on North Shore!

My family and I spent a week at this beachfront property with full access to the beach. There are wooden steps that lead down from the backyard lawn to the sand. Unbelievable sunsets every night. Banzai Bowls right across the street was super handy for acai bowls and smoothies. It was fun cruising the bikes down the path to Shark's Cove. Great location if you want to be on the North Shore and have beach access steps from your door.

We had a great time! The home is beautiful and charming with a classic old Hawaii vibe. Huge master bedroom. The master bed was so comfortable w great sheets! We loved sitting on the balcony watching the waves and surfers. The waves were right outside (bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper). This home has all the creature comforts! We had plans to sight see, but I almost preferred to stay at the house and the beach backyard. Privacy was great too! Host was very responsive and helpful. I would love to stay here again and we loved being on the north shore instead of the resorts areas.

The location is interesting, very secure & safe. The views are stunning.
The beach is right there but be careful. Sunset Beach has some strong under currents but if you walk down toward the lifeguard, you should be safer. Plus, bring a surf or boogie board to hold onto.
It's heavenly!
The kitchen is fully equipped and fun to cook in. The coffee maker got a workout! There's a full size washer & dryer in the garage and even a sweet little laundry shute to send your clothes down from upstairs.
We stayed here for a week with close friends of ours. It was the trip of their lifetime so we sacrificed the master suite to them since we come back often. They hadn't been back in over 40 years. They said it was a bit of a struggle not being able to block the sound of the waves at night from the master suite. We got them some ear plugs and they were fine.
It's something to think about.
The second bedroom was not nearly as elaborate, no tv, no ceiling fan or ocean views, a small bathroom & closet but you can still hear the waves a little and it's cozy.
Outside: There's a shower, a nice large garage, a strong security gate and lots of privacy. Some comfortable yard furniture and is high enough off the beach that nobody can just walk up. Lots of surfers to watch, so bring your binoculars!

This was a beautiful home, and excellent location to enjoy the beaches for kicking back or surfing and snorkeling. The views of the coast line beaches are beautiful, and The sunsets were amazing and the sounds of the Ocean well, you have to be there. Great place to enjoy your vacation.

This house has very solid furniture from chairs outside through a beautiful wooden table and chairs in the dining room, to very comfy beds. Kitchen has basic equipment, plates and cutlery. We missed using if an over as no baking, roasting sheets were in the house. It made it challenging to bake Christmas cookies. We imorivized with foit we purchased at grocery store. Also, for a 11 day stay we didn't have enough toilet paper which we didn't expect in a "luxurious stay". All in all, we were still super happy with our stay. The house is literally on the beach. With high waves the stairs to the beach were removed and never put back, an inconvenience to less mobile family members. But the view was absolutely amazing. From the master bedroom's big bed we could admire the ocean and listen to the waves. We could walk to the Sunset beach to the right and a bunch of beaches to the left. There is also a bike path along the road and we used bikes in the garage couple of times. The house is super secure!
With the temperature at 80F during the day, we were comfortable with windows opened and fans on, without AC in the house. The sound of waves was rather loud and it helped to sooth us at night. A well maintained property. Very responsive owner. Magical house for the family vacation. Thank you!

The views are amazing even though your not able to go onto the beach. Beach access is close by though.
Be aware that the house does not have A/C. That is not listed on the site so just be aware. It does take
some getting used to being hot the whole time.
But we had a marvelous trip!!!

Good location on Ohau.. near surf beaches and is only a very short walk to Sunset beach and away from crowds..plenty of things to do and see in location going either side of island, gas station, atm, food truck with amazing thai food across the road and supermarket short drive ...very tidy and nicely furnished house...master suite upstairs was amazing, deck, lounge and large en suite...thankyou Glenn for an enjoyable and first time visit to Ohau

Glenn was a great host, checked in with us but not intrusive. We had everything needed to have a perfect time.
Panda Thai food truck across the street is amazing. And don’t miss North Shore Tacos.

Beautiful North Shore Home
Loved our stay in this home - very clean, safe, and spectacular views and sunsets! Glen was an excellent host and the check-in and check-out was easy and communicated well. The home had everything we needed and was just as described, it being a unique home with new appliances, great water pressure and temperature, comfortable furnishings, fast Internet, large rooms, and lovely outdoor spaces. We loved sitting on both the patio and the balcony. The current beach erosion is such that direct beach access from the yard is unfortunately not feasible and the closest street beach access 4 doors down has caution tape across the path preventing access due to the beach conditions but we just walked to Sunset Beach directly and it was not a problem. Clearly erosion is out of the control of the homeowner but every other aspect of our stay was everything we had hoped for. The current aerial photos on the listing are pre-erosion and the current beach in front of the home is not as expansive as shown but it did not deter us from enjoying the beauty and amenities of the north shore. Can’t wait to return!

Great home at an amazing location
We spent two weeks at Paradise on the Beach, and absolutely loved every minute of it. The house was as described. We were a bit concerned about the lack of air conditioning in July, but we acclimated quickly, and with open doors and windows, a nice sea breeze and a cooling dip every evening found it comfortable. The house was impeccably clean upon our arrival and we did our best not to track too much sand in (and vacuumed as necessary). The house felt very secure, particularly with the gate closed. Internet and cable were good, and checking in at work from the balcony overlooking the ocean, well, who couldn’t get used to that?!?! We enjoyed watching some surfing even in July - I can imagine the big waves would be incredible here during the winter months! The ability to hit everything on the North Shore is a selling point, and we found ourselves heading toward Kahuku as much as Haleiwa just to avoid the turtle traffic (and Fumi’s is better than Giovanni’s). Hope we can return one day!!

North shore
This property had a beautiful view of the ocean. To get to the beach be aware that it is eroding so it is a straight vertical walk down and up. There are stairs that are uneven and go only half way down. Coming straight up in soft sand was very difficult and I would not recommend for anyone with bad knees.
The house itself met our needs but is very dated. The description makes it sound a lot nicer than it is as I would not call it a luxury rental. I would recommend only using the beds and do not plan on anyone sleeping on the pull out couch or futon as they are nothing but springs. Luckily we had a teenager who slept on them but it was less than ideal.
We had an issue with the downstairs bathroom leaking and a high whining noise when the toilet flushed. We notified the owner and his advice was to turn the water off so we lost a bathroom and were scared to use it. We had stayed in another house the previous week that had a small issue and they sent a workman out ASAP to fix it.
Take note there is no air conditioning and while at night it was pleasant the house does get hot during the day.
The kitchen is sparsely stocked and you had to run the dishwasher after every meal for lack of plates.
The house itself had 2 beach chairs and 4 beach towels but would have been nice to have a cooler, 2 more chairs and an umbrella. .
Overall the location is great but it is a basic rental don’t go expecting a “ luxury beachfront estate” or you will be disappointed.

Great North Shore stay
Paradise on the beach was a great place for us while visiting Oahu in May 2021. The house was very clean, quite and relaxing for us. It’s a great setup for 2 couples. We had beautiful rainbows in the mornings and spectacular sunsets in the evenings. We felt very safe and secure during our stay and that was very important to us. The house was spacious enough for us to have private time with our spouses. We absolutely love the location as we don’t like the hustle and bustle of the real tourist areas. You can take day trips down south or anywhere else on the island but able to come back home to Paradise. The owner was very friendly and attentive to all our needs during our stay. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Glenn. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

This home is just a few houses away from sunset beach. Nicely secured property with the most lovely master suite with endless views.

Paradise on the Beach
We had a fantastic stay here. However it was cut short due to the happenings around the globe (covid-19 outbreak). Instead of staying the whole week we had to leave part way through to go back to our country. Nevertheless, on our short but sweet stay in this beautiful spot, we had an amazing time. The property itself is splendid. Clean, spacious, and has everything one need for a comfortable stay. The one minor drawback, was the absent of beach access. Due to the erosion on the beach access on the property we were unable to just hop on the beach from the backyard. We had to walk out a few blocks for the public access which was quite a hassle. Anyway, aside that, there was really nothing lacking on this property. We hope that the owner manage to get his beach access back in the near future. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful spot!
