We stayed the month of March 2020 It started with covid -19 just starting to be talked about and everything open. By the end of our stay everything was closed and everyone told to stay home to stop the spread of the virus. This house was our rock during this time and we were thankful this was where we stayed. The house is everything the people have written in prior reviews. The Owners make you feel like family, checking to make sure we were ok in their time of need. Perfect location, friendly neighbourhood and right across from beach access. This was a perfect home for our holiday. The house itself had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean and very private. We would love to stay again. The beach was amazing and the surf great!

My family & I have stayed at this lovely home 4 times over the past 7 years & we have loved every moment. The location is superb, the amenities perfect & best of all it's walking distance to Ted's Bakery!! We will definitely be coming back for years to come. Mahalo!

I can not say enough about this property. It is in the perfect location and was spotless. We enjoyed every minute of our time here and will be back!

We absolutely loved staying here on our vacation with our family. The house was exactly as described and was very clean and tidy when we arrived. Even beach towels were provided. We loved having a washer and dryer, everything needed in the kitchen, a shower in the backyard and a nice porch in the front and one in the back to kick back and relax. It is only a short walk to Ted's bakery and the grocery store is a few minutes drive away. We loved this place and will definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity.

Our family loved our stay here. The beach is a very short walk across the street. While there we had a few sea turtles and a seal. The beds were super comfy and we had all the supplies we needed.

Fantastic easy layout for a family with kid(s), great communicative and supportive host, and North Shore beaches minutes away by foot or car. Loved our stay and can’t wait to be back.

We love this North Shore rental and have stayed here a couple of times. The house is well equipped with all that you need, in addition to A/C now. I love the outdoor shower and being steps from the beach and the bike path to run.

This house was perfect for our family vacation. It was the perfect size and so very charming inside and out. We ate many meals on the back lanai and listened to the ocean on the front. The house is truly only a few steps to the beach. It is like having your own personal pathway. The beaches were never crowded (June) and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxing. We will definitely book this house again for any future stays. Coult not get any better!

Stephen’s home was the perfect way to start our trip in Hawaii. It is brilliantly located just steps from sunset beach! The house itself is clean, very well stocked and was ideal for me, my husband and our toddler. Thank you to our kind hosts for the lovely welcome basket and their prompt responses to all communication. I can’t recommend this listing more highly!

We loved our stay here! We felt like locals enjoying the north shore lifestyle. The beach is beautiful and the sunsets are gorgeous! The home was clean and comfortable and the neighbors are friendly. A great house and location for our family close to the beach. The owner Stephen was very responsive and drove over at a moments notice when there was a tiny problem with a smoke alarm. Overall a great stay.

Our family of four stayed in this beautiful home during Spring break. We have two children, ages 14 and 16, and the space fit our bill to a T. One child slept in the second bedroom and the other child chose the pull-out sofa bed. It worked well. The owners were very kind and there was a big welcome basket filled with local goodies waiting for us upon arrival. I really appreciated that warm touch. The house is spotlessly clean and tidy. It has everything you need including a full kitchen, TV/cable/internet, Weber BBQ, clean sheets, towels, hairdryer, washer/dryer, coffee machine, and off-street parking. My favorite part of their home was the gorgeous covered front porch. There is just enough foliage in the front yard for privacy. This home is probably less than one minute walking to get to a world-class beach. The beach is quiet and there aren't many people on it. We saw surfers heading out every day. The kids played outside all day and it was easy for them to run back to the house for breaks or quick snacks. The location is ideal and really cannot be beat. I would highly recommend this home if you are looking for a clean, nicely-appointed home that is steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches.

This home was the perfect location for our spring break get a way! Our boys, 12 and 14 couldn’t get enough of boogie boarding, surfing near Haleiwa, and jumping in the waves! Our youngest even was lucky enough to celebrate his 12th birthday here in paradise! The home is clean, well stocked, and SO close to the beautiful beach! We are every meal on the sand! It’s embarrassing that we didn’t relax more on the beautiful lanai at the home, but the beach was so inviting! Locals were kind and friendly. Ted’s bakery was a morning stop and Haleiwa is a great town to shop and eat! We will definitely be back to this perfect home!!!

As the title says, this really "good thing" came to an end, sadly, but what a wonderful vacation my daughter and I had at this beautiful beach home on Oahu's very chill Northshore! This cottage by the beach - and I mean literally second from the sandy shore - was a great find and we had such a great time here. The home is very well maintained inside and out and is stocked with everything you will need to have a very relaxing vacation. We spent the majority of our time doing the same thing - wake early and eat breakfast on the front veranda enjoying the sun rising and the palms swaying qently. By mid-morning we'd gather our gear including beach towels, lawn chairs and wave boards provided by the owner and head out the front door to the robust surf of the Northshore. We'd spend the entire day in the sand watching that amazing surf and all the surfers, listening to podcasts and enjoying the beauty all around. The beach is steps away from the cottage so we'd pop back up from time to time for a snack or another tropical beverage and back to the beach. After our day in the sun, we'd enjoy the fantastic outdoor shower - what a great way to remove the sand and enjoy the beauty of the huge backyard! The home has air conditioning but we really didn't use it all that much as opening the patio doors and letting the breeze flow through felt great. All the neighbors were very friendly and we'd gather on the beach at sunset each evening to visit and say farewell to another great day in paradise. Groceries are just a short ride south a couple miles and Ted's Bakery is right across the street. The Northshore is heavy on food trucks as a source of meals so if you're seeking lots of "fine dining" you'll want to stick close to Honolulu but if, like us, you want authentic Hawaii and a chill vibe with great people, this is your place. We enjoyed the zip lines and horseback riding as well as drives around the island in our Jeep with the tops off - we would love to come back again to both this home and the Northshore. Mahalo to the GREAT owners for their hospitality and I appreciated their rapid responses to my many questions before and during our stay!

This was the perfect location. The house was great. It was very clean and had everything that you could ever need. The neighbors were very friendly and we were steps away from the beach. Pat and Steve were exceptionally nice and very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Loved the location. Close to beach access. The hale had a very nice lanai to sit on in the morning for coffee. The house was very cool and comfortable. It felt secure with the gate. Close to Turtle Bay, Ted’s bakery and Foodland. The owners were easy to contact. Great surfing at Sunset Beach and a nice swimming spot out in front at Mom’s Beach

Traveling from Australia, we initially booked this property on recommendation of the location. Upon arrival we were thrilled by both the character, ease and comfort of the home. It gets better! We then discovered the path to the beach was literally just across the road. If you are a surfing and ocean loving family, the world famous Sunset Beach surf break is on your doorstep as well as safe swimming for kids at ‘Mothers Beach’. We couldn’t have enjoyed a more fantastic stay. The neighbors welcomed us wholeheartedly and we felt immediately right at home. Settling into the property was too easy. All of the conveniences you need are on hand. The outdoor shower was fantastic especially with kids after a long day at the beach. The front lanai (porch) was well used as a quiet place to read or enjoy the serenity of this magical place. The street is very quiet so perfect for the safety of kids. We were sad to leave and will most definitely return to stay in this home. We absolutely loved it! Thanks for having us. P.S Pat and Stephen are thoughtful and caring hosts. During a pretty wild winter storm they checked in with us with local weather warnings and making sure we were all OK. The effort was greatly appreciated. Thanks Pat and Stephen.

Great for our baby boy to have such a clean and green backyard to play in between beach time! Stoked, We'll be back next year hopefully!

Loved our stay here! It's really a gem, very comfortable and a wonderful experience of Hawaii. Loved the two outdoor lanais, beautiful hardwood floors. Big yard and very private. Really was so nice of Pat to leave a basket full of yummy goodies! Neighborhood was quiet and nice. Steps away to a beautiful beach. Just FYI a little tip, we were there in the Winter and the beach there was too rough for us to swim but a short drive over to Turtle Bay and it's much calmer. During the Summer I bet the beach there is calm. I would stay here again in a heart beat! Thank you for a lovely stay :)

The home was absolutely perfect for our family of 4, we loved the proximity to the beach, gated in yard, and cleanliness of the house. We had a great expierence and the owner was very easy to work with. We will absolutely be returning!

My family loved our stay. We were greeted with a basket of treats and the house was very clean, everything was exactly as described in the photos and online description. The beds were very comfy and the sheets were soft. It was nice to have access to the beach umbrellas, chairs, and boards - we used them every day. The outdoor shower was terrific, it was the only place I showered! The beach is only a minute walk from the front door. Another bonus is Ted’s Bakery which is a five minute walk. Thanks for a great stay!

Fantastic location on sunset beach in quiet cul de sac. Pat was fantastic to deal with. When we arrived it was lovely and clean with some fruit and other nibbles which were much appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. The kids loved playing on the backyard and the outdoor is shower is fantastic for when you get back from the beach. The house stays lovely and cool due to the breeze you can get coming through it. I would highly recommend it as a choice for accommodation.
