Il s'agit d'une cabine de base avec un lit double dans chaque chambre, une cuisine entièrement équipée et une terrasse privée avec barbecue. Il y a une salle de bain en trois parties avec WC, lavabo et douche de base en aluminium à utiliser également. De l'autre côté de la rue se trouve notre belle plage de sable privée.

Fourth year in a row staying at this cabin location and loved every bit of it. We have made so many family memories with this cabin and the fantastic private beach. The cabin is the perfect size for my family of four and the owners provide all the necessities which makes packing so much easier. I’ve never had any issues, we love the location, cabin, walking to the public beach and having access to a private beach. Thank you once again!

Third year staying at the cabin and enjoyed it just as much as the first two. Owners have always been pleasant and communicative and super helpful. If you’re looking for an escape from the city, to a simple dwelling with a beautiful beach where you can reconnect with the family this is the place! The cabin is the perfect size for my teen children and my partner and I. BBQ every night and enjoy the nature surrounding the cabin. Love this place.

Cabin was as described. The private beach was spectacular except for all the garbage everywhere. Sadly, folks felt no need to clean up after themselves and the property manager didn't clean anything up on the beach during our stay. The property itself had lots of garbage everywhere although this may have been on the neighbors space, it did detract from the secluded feel of the cabin. The wifi never worked, but we weren't there to be on devices during our stay. It would also have been nice if we didn't need to unplug the fridge to use the microwave to avoid blowing a fuse, but again, we made it work.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little cabin. Everything was clean, and we had all we needed for a really relaxing stay. The cabin is rustic and unpretentious, but that is exactly what we like. If you are the type of guest that needs granite counter tops, matching designer furniture, and an espresso machine, then keep scrolling. This is not your place. If you want a place that is clean, quiet, has its own private beach (!!!), and is just a simple place to build great memories, then look no further. We spend three nights of our tour around Ontario and agreed that more nights there would have been even better.

The property is very old and rickety and looked like it had not been cleaned or maintained in over 50 years. The patio was full of bugs webs and the patio table was very dirty. The entire property was covered with bugs and webs inside and out. Although it’s called R&R retreat, I felt like I came in to open the cottage for the first time this summer. I cleaned for half a day. The shower leaked the whole time and the water was all over the floor creating a mess and slipping hazard. The shower head is rusted and would not turn and the shower curtains could not possibly hold the water in. The linoleum floor is old and peeling. The shower is extremely small with no room to move and shower properly. The bathroom has an old boiler in plain sight. The property is also leaning to one side and very old and smelled old and dusty. The furniture is ancient. The windows have no proper function and screens are busted allowing in bugs. There were no black out curtains for any of the bedrooms so we had to hang towels for privacy. The cottage is extremely run down and has no charm whatsoever and in desperate need of attention. Sadly this is the worst cottage we have stayed at and truly lives up to a cottage nightmare straight from a horror story. A complete renovation is necessary. I feel like we overpaid for our stay, a stay well below any reasonable standards. Owner refused to issue any form or refund or compensation. Beach was the nicest part, no complaints there.

A great rustic cabin in the Woodsfield. Very comfortable beds and good amenities. I definitely want to go back, I love the place. The beach was just outstanding. Great location restaurants nearby grocery stores nearby. Easy in and out procedures.

This is the second year in a row we have booked at the cabins with Willie and Ben. We enjoy their cabins very much. They’re simple and exactly what we are looking for. The private beach is always our favourite and the distance to the public beach area is very convenient, about a 15 min walk. The cabin comes with everything we need (like dishes, utensils, pots, and a bbq, as well as beach umbrellas and chairs) and the hosts are always so pleasant and helpful. The shower pressure is pretty strong so you just have to make sure the curtain is closed when you turn on the water to ensure the water doesn’t go everywhere. If you’re looking for a simple getaway with a clean and rustic cabin this location is the place to book. It’s becoming a family tradition for us! See you in 2023!

Great little spot!!
This was the second year we’ve been, and we enjoyed our stay just as much as the first! Beautiful property with access to a private white sand beach. The cabins are just as stated, rustic and cozy! But everything you need is supplied. We’d definitely come back again!

Great time!
Our stay at the RNR Cabin was very good ! It was our second time there and we love the private beach ! It is so close to the Cabin and the views are spectacular - especially the sunsets! The listing is as advertised - small, quaint cabin! Was a bit low on toilet paper, especially being pregnant !! Also would be nice to have oven mitts for cooking! Other than that it is a wonderful place and the owner and Bill is fantastic!

Very disappointed
This cottage is described as “rustic” and “basic”. I would describe it as neglected and run down. The RnR Retreat hasn’t seen $1 of TLC many, many years.
All of the plumbing leaks and is rusted or corroded. Both the kitchen and the bathroom have a damp musty smell, particularly the cupboards. Wearing flip flops in the shower is highly recommended.
All of the floors are insanely uneven and dangerously bouncy, especially in the kitchen.
Most of the light fixtures are either broken, missing a lamp shade or a light bulb.
There’s shoddy exposed wiring in the kitchen and bathroom.
The screen door latch is broken; looks like it has been for quite a while, which means getting trapped inside.
There is NO privacy, which is not clear from any of the photos. The view from the deck is a parking lot. To one side, also not evident from the photos, is a very eclectic house with lots of activity, cars and loud music. And it’s 20 feet away. On the other side, the view is the steps and pathways to the other cottages, so lots of foot traffic.
The living room furniture is filthy. There were adult foot prints on the couch.
I’ve never provided a review such as this before. But 4 days after my return, I’m still bothered and disappointed and felt the need to share my views with others so that they don’t waste their vacation time and money on an overpriced dilapidated shack that didn’t even have a roll of toilet paper in the washroom when we arrived.

Beachside retreat ♥️
Our family of 4 stayed in the R and R cabin for 3 nights and we really enjoyed ourselves! The private beach is lovely and literally steps away. We swam for hours and enjoyed the sandy beach area as well. Our hosts were excellent at responding to our questions and ensuring that our needs were met. Willie thoughtfully offered to host a beachside bonfire for all of the cabin guests on our final night. It was awesome! The sunsets that we enjoyed watching from our private beach area every night were truly mind blowing. The cabins are located within easy walking to takeout and dine in restaurants. Our cabin was rustic but wonderful. Thank you Willie for helping to make our short stay so memorable!

Delightful 4 day get away
Everything was super clean and the whole area was very quiet. Willie was an attentive host and answered all our questions promptly. We loved the beach, the dunes, and the water were absolutely perfect. Highly recommend any of these cabins. We will def come again next year.

Beautiful beach, it stops there.
Very primitive. Couldn't drink the water. There was a terrible looking permanent rental property right next door. Furniture and kitchen amenities were the leftovers of a garage sale. Disgusting shower. No TV.
For the price, $1900 for 1 week, I expected more. I also expected more from VRBO. I thought I was safe using a company that would have higher standards.

Perfect family unwind at R&R
We got exactly what we were looking for with this rental. Extremely welcoming and outgoing hosts who made the stay extra enjoyable was very much appreciated. Property was very well layed out and the extra beach amenities provided with the property made our lounge days even more comfortable. 100% would stay here again to unwind with the family.

Great Private Beach
We spent family hours at the beautiful beach. Very private and big. Walked into town each morning and night (about 20 minutes with small legs..) for arcade and icecream. Cottage was big, but without WIFI internet or TV. But we knew going in. Close to Midland for excursions, but the cottage location was great. We will book again.

Beautiful Balm Beach
Although we didn't have the greatest weather during our stay, it was slightly on the cool side for the beach and it rained continuously on one of the days, we had a great time.
The cabin was small but nice. It was nice to be able to bbq, and hang out on the deck. The private access to the beach was great just across the road and we were just down the street from the arcade and restaurants. The cabin could use a little bit of updating, but we had fun and will probably book again. Thanks for a great time, Gordon Graham

Read description carefully. Not worth the money.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but there were some setbacks. When we checked in, the cottage was not well cleaned. There was sand on the couch. Also, I didn’t know beforehand that we had to bring our own toilet paper, linens and that we couldn’t drink the water. This was my fault for not reading the description carefully but it’s easy to miss. One of the cleaning staff was nice to provide us with sheets but unfortunately they did not fit the bed. To my surprise the host messaged me saying she would be deducting $50 from my damage deposit to pay for laundering the bedding. We did follow up with the host to explain and thankfully she said she would not charge us.
There is only a radio in the cottage. I wish there would have been some board games or cards.
The best part of our stay was the beach. It was beautiful.

Fun with the grand kids
We had a very enjoyable time entertaining our 4 and 6 year old grandchildren at this cottage. It was nicely set up for us and we didn't have to worry about the little ones damaging anything. The beach was nearby and great for swimming and building sand castles.

Great stay!
We had a great time staying at the RNR. Great location across the street from a marvellous beach that most days we had all to our selves. Rustic cabin has 2 bedrooms. One room has an opening to the living room which is covered with a curtain. If you have loud snorers I suggest putting them in the other room. Also the windows in the rooms do have a lace curtain that looks out to the back cabin. I suggest a dark panel curtain to be replaced with this instead as we need the privacy to change. We just put a shirt over it while anyone changed is all. Also they did provide fans for each room which is good. One of our days was very humid and hot so we couldn't be in the cabin too long during the day so we just cooled off swimming at the beach. The nights are cooler to sleep thankfully. We are satisfied with our overall a wonderful stay. My 1 yr son couldn't get enough of the beach. I suggest to see the sunset, it's Beautiful!

Perfect Hidden Gem
We stayed in the R&R retreat over the Canada day long weekend with our young family. Irka was great to deal with. She had quick responses to our inquiry and questions, and was very helpful during and after booking.
This private cabin near Balm Beach is rustic with the necessary comforts for a week away. Perfect space for a small family, with great local neighbors and help from Irka and onsite manager Bill.
The location was perfect, with less than 300 feet, across sands dunes to a private beach. The sunsets were unreal. The cabin provided us with the perfect place to get away, disconnect and spend quality family time.
