the construction wasn't particularly bothersome because it didn't disturb our sleep. The location is wonderful and the view is great and it's basically a nice unit. On the downside, when we checked in the place reeked of deodorant air freshener. We unplugged the deodorizers and an hour later the bedroom smelled like stale laundry. Two hours after that it smelled like dried urine. The window in the walkway side bedroom was sealed shut so we couldn't let a breeze through to air it out. There was mold in the bathrooms

We had no problems with the unit. It was very spacious . The only disappointing thing was the major construction going on . If I had known it was that much construction I would have tried to find another complex to stay in.

The family pictures around the unit, were a bit odd, but that is their choice. The unit was not the cleanest, there was cobb webs hanging from the popcorn ceiling, ceiling cans were dirty, but overall it was not terrible. There was only one working elevator in the building, as the other one was obviously not working, but it was not labeled "out of service".

The property manager offered to purchase new but seller refused. I suppose listening to loud noise off and on throughout the day and night caused guests to sleep from exhaustion. Again, another ongoing complaint not corrected by owner. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. The noise is coming from plumbing and is undetermined. It sounds almost like a smoke alarm. If you go upstairs to loft bath and run water it helps to cease noise for awhile.

Island Realty made the experience easy. Already booked for next year. It is a quiet location with a lovely beach and pool. Convenient (within driving distance) to a grocery store and restaurants. We were looking for a nice relaxing vacation with family; unfortunately, we were met with a VERY unpleasant time. We noticed a few things that needed attention upon arrival. The kitchen light bulb was out, a leak in the shower sprayed against the sheetrock wall outside of the shower, & the most annoying, a HIGH pitch, shrill noise coming from the upstairs bath. While there we reported all of these - the light bulb & shower were repaired; however the VERY high pitch shrill noise was not. This intermittent noise woke us up several times during the night. After receiving no action from our complaint we physically drove to Island Reality’s office & let them listen to our video. The receptionist watched & listened to my video & couldn’t believe how loud & shrill the noise was. She asked if she could take my phone & let their maintenance department listen to it. We were certain then that our problem would be fixed, however were we wrong. After trying to sleep with that HIGH pitch shrill noise another night I called for the 3rd or 4th time & complained - again receiving no relief. Finally a female returned my call & gave me some lame excuse that the VERY high pitch shrill noise was coming from the HVAC system. I knew the problem was coming from the plumbing in the upstairs bath & tried to convince her of that but she would not listen. Bottom line I asked the curt lady for them to refund us one nights lodging, she refused. But she did offer to pay for a stay in a motel a short distance from the beach with no kitchen. I politely declined. We’ve used Island Reality before but never will again. We were not treated as valued return customers. I would highly recommend not using Island Reality for your vacation needs!
