À propos de cette location de vacances

Ocean Front! First line, hear the waves below

The location and view were fantastic. We loved sitting out and watching the birds/animals and ocean. The kids enjoyed the pool. The house we didn't love as much. In our opinion, the pictures were a bit misleading and it was overpriced for what we got. Our first night there we lost all power for about 10 hours and had no ac, water or internet. No one slept much that night. They got that fixed and then the internet went out the following day and was out until the next afternoon. We had internet in the main house after that, but not the casita. There were lizards and bugs on our ceilings and floors because there are big gaps under and around the doors and wire mesh on upper walls of the main room. We had to make sure any food was stored in the refrigerator, which was a typical American size fortunately. No AC in the main room made it so we didn't want to hang out there because it was so hot all the time and only very occasionally was there a breeze off the ocean to cool things off when we left the doors open. There were only 2 rooms in the main house and they were far apart from each other. The casita was a building a couple hundred feet from the main house and had 2 rooms which were not connected in any way. You had to walk outside and around about 75ft to get from one room to the other. We had 2 families that went with kids (though fortunately they weren't young) and it was a problem because the people in the upper room had absolutely no contact at night with the kids in the lower room. The main house doors are very old and are difficult to open and some don't open at all. Also, the floors in the main house are broken all over. In one of the main house bedrooms, water from the shower would leak out onto the floor of the bedroom. There are also random stairs all thru the house. In the master bedroom there are 5 sets of stairs. There are 4 beds total between the main house and casita and all were okay, a little hard but typical of the area. There was no hammock outside as shown in the pictures. There is a lot of space in the main house and a small kitchen in the upper room of the casita which was nice. It also had covered parking for a car and was a very quiet and private area. The manager was responsive and the cleaning lady came in twice a week which was also great.

Pros: 1. The view is incredible! 2. Wildlife abounds! There is a sloth that lives in a tree by the pool. Monkeys frequented the property daily as dud toucans. 3. We liked the location because of the easy access to the main road. Driving was very easy. Cons: 1. Communication with the house concierge from Escape villas was poor. After making the booking, emails went unanswered and I often had to send messages a couple of times weeks apart to get answers to my questions. It was so bad, there was a time I thought we had been scammed! We did ask them to coordinate our car rental for drop off/ pick up from the house and there were no issues with that. Once there, they were more responsive and our house host was very friendly and nice to work with locally. 2. Check in did not go as planned as we were unable to get a message to go through to the house host. We finally got a message through to her and were given the wrong key lock code. We had to wait for the host to physically come to let us in. 3. The house itself has amazing potential, but needs maintenance. The wood floors in the master bathroom are warped and soft and felt like they were going to just give out under our feet. Also, the 3 large walls of glass doors were very difficult to open/ close and one entire section was broken. 4. Security- be sure to lock doors at all times. The door to the casita was left unlocked when we went to dinner and people stole the tv, our camera and some of our clothes.

We loved this property. Stunning ocean views, almost 180 degrees from the whales tail all the way to the sunset. We kept the sliding window-walls open all the daylight hours we were home. All the wildlife came right to the surrounding trees and yard so when we didn't have time to go to manuel Antonio, that was ok! Our group was 3 families all having kids and while we were under the capacity of the rental, the sleeping arrangement were a little difficult (we needed to make sure all the little kids had access to parents in the night without needing to go outdoors). Having multiple beds, cots, or fold out couches in the bedrooms would have been perfect. As far as I figure, this was the only negative and we were able to work it out in the end.

We were blown away by the 180° view of ocean from inside and outside this property. We loved the observation deck where we could see the waves crashing against rocks while at the same time being in the middle of a beautiful rain forest and manicured garden. We generally love active vacations, but we had a hard time wanting to leave the view and the pool. We were there in June, during the rainy season, and we really appreciated the deep overhanging decks where we could watch the afternoon storms from the hammock and stay dry. We went to sleep every night to the sounds of waves and rainforest. The house has a fun hacienda vibe, including a lovely courtyard. It is big enough with the cute casita to fit 8-10 comfortably. It is not too far from the main road but 4x drive was helpful. It does look a little tired in some places, and there were a few tiny lizards that would come hang out on the high ceiling in the evenings. (They never bothered us.) Neither of those facts meant anything to us compared to the awesome, totally private grounds and view. If a lovely ocean view and privacy are your priorities, this is your spot! Indra was easy to contact and work with.

Our three families with young kids had an amazing time in Costa Rica with this gorgeous home as our base camp. It is located within 15 minutes of incredible beaches, waterfalls, and forests full of animals that surround the home. The hike-to beach down from the house was not difficult for our 7 year olds and was like having a private beach-at low tide we found snorkeling there too. There are several close beaches with fun surf and features that our host told us about. From the multiple decks you see the ocean, monkeys, coatis, birds galore, and butterflies. Our families cooked and congregated in the spacious and comfortable main house, but had privacy and space in the evenings. The bedrooms are cool, quiet, and well appointed. The house also had air mattresses for the kids to use. The hammock, decks, and pool are all open from the house so you can enjoy the outdoors all the time. It was a great privilege to be the first one up to open the big doors, check out the morning wildlife, and cut fresh fruit for breakfast having a few quiet moments to swing in the hammock or lounge on the deck. After a hot day in the surf and sand, the pool was a welcome treat we used throughout the day. I also appreciated the many details of this house: vaulted ceiling, courtyard garden, tiled and wood floors, and carved doors. Our host was so helpful, communicating as often as we needed and gave us suggestions for kid friendly activities- she really cared about our time in Costa Rica and made the trip easy and fun. The housekeeper helped keep the home clean and organized. This is a lovely, convenient, and family friendly home hosted professionally and personally. We are all very satisfied with our stay and would love to visit again soon.

the view to ocean was perfect, abundant wild life (monkeys, hummingbirds, many butterflies species and magnificent nigh life creatures) down side: to many geckos inside house and they poop constantly on tables, couches and chairs and since their droppings carried diseases we had had to keep everything cover and wear shoes

Great hospitality, amazing place! We loved it. We look forward to our next stay! We had 2 people who weren't very mobile. And it was easy for them to move around the Villa.
