Lovely stay. Homey and comfortable. Would have been even better with air conditioning in the living room kitchen area. Very hot but fans were helpful. Hostess was very accommodating and helpful. Beds were comfortable and linens and towels were good quality.

A reunion with all our kids and grandkids this past July 2024 at Kawela Kai #503 and #501 consisted of 4 families totaling 13 folks. The easy stroll between the 2 houses made it super easy to see each other, spend time on each other’s lanais, barbeque and dine together. The lanai was the best feature with it’s wide expanse and fantastic view of the ocean and sunsets. With eight chairs around the table and ample seating on the bench, all of us could congregate comfortably. The kitchen is well-equipped. Previous renters left various condiments such as salt, pepper, some spices, tea bags, Pam spray, and other dry goods. It’s best to check out the cupboards before you buy anything at the market. The one thing that we found absolutely necessary was to bring or buy a sharp knife/knives! The ones provided were super dull. The front-loading washing machine and dryer were fairly new, full-sized and stacked on each other. Detergent is provided. Salt air takes a toll on beach houses. We contended with hard-to-slide screen doors. Unfortunately for us, new screen doors were installed a day or two after we checked out, but it should benefit future renters. The AC unit in the 2nd floor bedroom in #503 was not working at check-in. We called Celma, our agent at Team Real Estate, who took care of the problem right away. Although it was at the end of her work day on a Friday, she drove to a hardware store, bought a new AC unit and delivered it to our unit. She got a technician to come out the next day to install it. We couldn’t have asked for better service. Celma went above and beyond and we are so grateful for her dedication in meeting her clients’ needs. Thank you, Celma!Note: Summer months bring out the flies! So get a fly swatter and food tents for both indoors and outdoors. Grocery shopping is convenient at Foodland Pupukea--great selection. Food trucks galore along the north shore and in Hale

We stayed in late October of 2023. I know this property from living on Oahu. I was super excited to get to stay here for a staycation away from my condo in Waikiki with my family who was visiting from the mainland.
-Celma gave us prompt communication when I text and called.
-The house is an older beach house with older beach house character. Which is exactly what I expected and enjoyed. House is beautiful and in a beautiful beach location on the reef with swimming areas to the left and right of the beach. For swimming we preferred to drive to the near by public beaches.
- Quiet location away from tourist beaches. We could hear the ocean waves while in the house. Some roosters and chickens ran the property around island style.
In October we could see the sunset on the ocean when we walked to the end of the yard and also from the beach. We enjoyed waking up early to see the moonset.
- October is the hottest most humid month on Oahu. AC and fans were very useful during this time but not always needed since ocean breeze flows.
- house is stocked with many fans, washer/dryer, dishwasher and all the cooking/grilling necessities. Towels, sheets, beach towels and plenty of seating.
No hidden charges or issues. We were promptly credited our deposit after stay and will definitely rent again.

Rented this house for a family reunion ahead of a family wedding. When the first of our party arrived it was later in the evening and exhausted from travel we didn't realize the house barely had sufficient power. Lights were flickering and we quickly had no hot water supply just from washing hands and rinsing dishes. The next morning we realized the appliances (stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, W/D) would turn on but none worked. No answer to the office line as it was the weekend, and didn't receive a text response to the emergency number for 4 hours (8am-12pm). Turns out, the cleaning lady also had issues with the dryer but this was not conveyed to us. The contact came by later that day and informed us there was an issue, but an electrician couldn't be there until the following morning at 8am. So from Saturday check in until Monday 9am we were without sufficient power to the house. That meant cold showers, no ability to cook or heat anything up, flickering lights. Someone from the company joked it was 'like we were camping'. At the price per night, that is unacceptable. We spent most of our first few days not at the house given a lack of electricity. We were informed there were no other available properties to switch to if the issue could not be resolved. It was remedied within 30 mins of being out at the property though we discovered it and informed them. We never were given a reason; the group concensus was they forgot to disable the power limiter to the house.

We liked the place and the location, but this place didn’t provide is with soap to wash our hands or for the shower. That’s so small a thing, but it was so disappointing to have to go out to buy that. There was lots of hand sanitizer around though. The other thing is the place had a charcoal grill, but it’s not worth spending over $20 for the charcoal and lighter fluid. We did like that the kitchen had everything we needed to do some simple meals. It was very nice having 3 bathrooms and 4 twin bed too. The patio had a nice large table for our evening dinners and watching the sunset. But at first we were hesitant in eating our dinner outside because there were several cats roaming around on the patio, but with a water bottle and some water we were able to enjoy our meal without the cats around. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here.

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at this vacation home. The view is to die for. The house had plenty of space for all of our family and was conveniently located near most north shore attractions. The backyard was perfect for hosting a small gathering of family and friends. Only downside was the weak air conditioning and/or lack of curtains/blinds. My husband and I stayed in the master and had the best views of any bedroom. However, the sun beats down on those windows and the AC did not have enough power to cool the room. It wasn’t until about 8 or 9 pm until we could stand being in that room. The view is spectacular so I get why you wouldn’t want to obstruct the view, but simple curtains that can be drawn while you are out during the day might help. However, all that being said, I would do it all over again for that location.

This is the second year we rented this house (actually there are two almost identical homes and we have now rented both). Location, location, location. The house is well equipped, nicely furnished, the master bedroom and bath are fabulous and the deck and front lawn are jut plain wonderful. I spent nearly every morning reading and having my morning tea on the decks enjoying the amazing ocean view. And the beach is right there - this is a true beach/ocean front home. Only downside is that you need to walk down the beach a bit for snorkeling/swimming except at low tide with virtually no surge. Team Real Estate has been great to work with and are very responsive. Location is great about midway on the North Shore with reasonable drives to all the major beaches, Haleiwa Town, Kahuku food trucks and only about 45-60 minutes from HNL. While by no means cheap, this home is a great value and hard to beat!

I think it suited our needs to a tee. We are 7 adults: my brother and his wife, my three sisters, me and my wife. Since it is my 80th birthday this year, I got to choose where we went. The trip overall was great and your property contributed to the overall success.
By the way, the air conditioner in the downstairs bedroom with king-sized bed does work.

The view was amazing. We saw whales from the deck each night. The yard is big enough to play games. The charcoal barbecue was great to have. We used it a few evenings and enjoyed dinner around the outdoor table. We used the kitchen to prepare side dishes and it had everything we needed. There were 6 adults staying and the house was large enough to accommodate all of us. The house was just as described and had everything we needed.
The house is nicely located, close to many food trucks and fruit stands to the north. Just to the south there are beautiful beaches, Ted’s Bakery, and other places to eat, shop and rent ocean equipment, and charter rentals in the cute town of Haleiwa.
The check in instructions were easy and there was plenty of parking for our 3 rental vehicles. The only downside, if there is such a thing, considering how amazing this property is, is the rocky beach. However, we did walk the beach most every morning and we enjoyed the most amazing sunsets every evening. This house and location are spectacular!

Excellent space. Lots of room for two families. We have stayed on the North shore before and found this location ideal to many beaches. The water is only accessible by a wooden staircase and the beach requires shoes as the area is a coral bed, but a quick walk led to a sandy area. Overall enjoyed the stay, the lovely lanai, and the sunsets! Check in was easy and not issues were encountered during our stay.

The beautiful beachfront location is what attracted us to this house and we weren’t disappointed. But the cleanliness upon arrival left a lot to be desired, there was a shortage of towels (quickly remedied) and for a house supposed to accommodate 8 there was insufficient seating (lounge or eating), and the crockery was a real mishmash. Cracked floors tiles in the kitchen and a bathroom, slippery wooden decking, poor quality cooking utensils, the main TV was on its last legs (spots everywhere) do I need to go on. So we felt quite let down by the premises themselves and frankly could not recommend it to anyone unless the owners spend some maintenance $s on the property and get it up to a decent standard.

We booked this spot six months before, looking at the pictures provided by the company, dream house for holiday , When we arrived the real estate looks so different , Starting from luck of deep cleaning the whole house , floor (we mopped the floor twice , water was black )Old furniture, badly used and dirty , living room area , all mattresses covering has to be washed, smell and stains, dinning table sticky , was only rinsed but not properly cleaned, Luck of batteries for safe box , alarm system as well , Tv not working , Little renovations upstairs but without proper thinking, bath tub so high , hard to get in, shower head horrible , splashing water all over, One step has to be added to get safe into tub , Bedding very poor , mattresses as well , This place need a good and deep cleaning and updating , especially for the money that I payed for, Sometimes the owners need to pay more for a good cleaning not only look for a big profit, We are very disappointed , Will I come back ???No

This house was a great house for our group, we very much enjoyed the location and the outdoor space, plus the couple that were lucky enough to stay in the master bed were very happy with the view from their room and their amazing ensuite.

We shared the house for a week with another family. It was a good size for our group of 8. We loved the north shore and being able to easily access the east and west coasts. It's a short drive to groceries, a fruit stand and the kahuku market. The beach out front was great for the kids to explore when the water was calmer and there are several other beaches nearby that are safe for swimming when the waves are higher. Overall it was a great place!

Our family loved this property and the ocean views were spectacular. Our friends rented the identical unit next door and we highly recommend the property. We enjoyed listening to the ocean waves and relaxing on the Lanai with our family and friends. We even had a whale sighting. The only downside to this property was living room furniture was not comfortable but we spent most of our time outdoors so it wasn’t a big issue. We would stay here again.

First of all let me say that the view and the location was fabulous. Very close to sites and beaches. The house was nice but needs some updates to make it special. The living room furniture was very uncomfortable to sit at. The fans, air conditioners in the bedrooms, and appliances in the kitchen including pots and pans could use some updating they don’t work as well as they used to. There are cracked tiles in the bathroom and kitchen that makes the house look dated. The house could also use a marker outside the gate to identify where the houses is, very hard to locate in the dark. A bug zapper on the deck would be helpful due to the pesty flies and mosquitos we encountered. Two days before we checked out the gardeners came they did a good job but they blew a pile of clippings into our backyard and left before picking them up. We had a wonderful vacation but adding these updates would make this a more comfortable place to stay. Thank you.

The property was very clean and as described. The upstairs loft worked great as a 4th bedroom/sleeping area. The beach area was very quiet and the tidal pools were great for the kids. As others noted the kitchen equipment needs to be upgraded such as sharper kitchen knives and pans with matching covers. We noticed that some of the outdoor furniture shown in the picture was in use by the other rental house next door therefore not available to us.

We had a wonderful time together as a family. The property is in a great location, just a short drive to pipeline. Our major issue was that the floors and flat surfaces were dirty when we arrived. The washing machine wreaked and had a substantial amount of mold. The property manager contacted the cleaner and they came promptly to remedy the situation.
