Just a perfect spot to come and hang out with family. Very quiet, private road with a great view. Very well stocked property with all the things you could need. It was very homey, with a rustic charm. It was not cluttered, and I felt like I could just settle in here.

We had the best time on the Mendocino coast in this spectacular property with ocean views. The home was laid out well and spacious for our group. Everything was clean and well-kept. The property is an easy 10-minute drive from Mendocino, but you feel secluded, which adds to the relaxing feel. The hot tub was perfect and overlooked the ocean. Hosts were easy and so was check-in and check-out. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend getaway!

This was the most amazing house we have stayed at while on vacation. Everything was wonderful. The view spectacular, the house itself was well kept and cute. The owners clearly care about the guests staying in their home. They provided anything and everything you could need plus more. They even had dog supplies, how sweet is that! There is nothing bad to say about this home. Many thanks to the owners for making this an unbelievable experience!!

Property was exactly as described. We felt relaxed and right at home. Great location and peaceful. House was clean and well stocked with anything you needed. They didn’t forget about furry pets. Dog bowls, pet bed and toys were also supplied, so thoughtful. The ocean view was so calming and beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub even though the weather was stormy. Highly recommend the property and would visit again.

The house was the perfect home base for the Anderson Valley White Wine Weekend. Comfy, cozy (on a wild wet weekend) and welcoming, it has a fully stocked kitchen that made cooking and dining in easy and we LOVED the hot tub with a view. Views were great overall, and the neighborhood was quiet, with more trees than people! Can’t wait for our next stay. Thanks so much for hosting us.

My elderly parents, sister, daughter and 2 dogs stayed at Steven’s pace and loved everything about it. The hot tub with a view of the ocean was so nice, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied with everything we could want. We felt very welcome and taken care of. Definitely planning on another visit.

Wonderful escape! Peace, quiet and a sense of privacy. The house has everything you will need. This is our second stay at this house and hope to enjoy a third soon!

This lovely house has everything - spectacular views, beds even more comfortable than mine at home, kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need if inclined to cook, hot tub on wraparound deck looking towards the ocean. Even though we were socked in for 3 of the 4 days with heavy fog, we didn't care. Can't recommend it highly enough.

3 couples, longtime friends enjoyed the property for a long weekend. As indicated, the water situation was not ideal, but we made do with short showers and watching our usage. Minor issue was quickly addressed by owner. We would stay here again, if nothing else for the beautiful view.

This place met all of our expectations. Loved the house and loved the location. A lot of deer outside. My only complaint is that when I saw the "watch for bears" sign I wanted to see a bear. Never happened. We would love to stay here again.

Our family of four plus our dog stayed here for a weeks vacation. The property is very private, quiet, with such amazing views of the ocean and wooded areas too. Neighborhood is nice and walkable. We saw deer daily , skunk and a fox. Our college age son and daughter had the two upstairs bedrooms both thought their beds were comfortable and it was nice having a bathroom upstairs as well as a desk area for some summer online classes. My husband and I enjoyed the downstairs bedroom, cozy bedding, mattress was ok.Kitchen is well stocked, very appreciated since we like to cook in often and the grill was handy too. Even had a French press for coffee ! Sound/oil machine in the bathroom was an extra nice touch. Plenty of blankets in the living room, very comfortable room. Truly a dog friendly home, and no, it didn’t have any unpleasant smells at all. House was very clean and well kept. Hot tub was fabulous and clean. I’m not sure I’d call the house “rustic” more like a relaxing home. Close to everything you could want to see. Would absolutely stay here again and all of us agreed that we would have loved to stay longer ! ☺️ We had high expectations and the property and the surrounding area was more then we could have imagined.

The property was lovely and very comfortable. Very sweet family home. The cleaning person did not have the place clean when we got there as they were new and the owner was not aware of the condition. He quickly responded and resolved the issue. The views are spectacular and the home had everything we needed. Very cozy and comfortable with windows of views all around. Great location to Mendocino, the beach and hiking trails.

This home is ideal for families with children and/or dogs. If you do not want to stay in a home that has had dogs in it previously, it's not the home for you. You can tell a dog has been there by the smell, not a terrible smell but like a home that has a dog. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with a shower and one bathroom with a tub only and a hand held shower wand. There is a double mattress for another person to sleep on in a hideaway closet in one of the bedrooms. There were ants in the kitchen and cobwebs in several places. You can't see the ocean looking directly in front of the home due to trees but you can see from the side porch and upstairs bedroom. Right across the small street are gorgeous views.

This is a great house, close to good hiking, a day trip to Mendocino and beautiful scenery. The hot tub was relaxing and a fabulous place to watch the sunset. Tons of games and a well stocked kitchen. Even our little, high strung dog enjoyed herself!

The property was everything we could have ever imagined and more. Our 5 year old grandkiddo thought the upstairs hide-a-fort, was the best thing EVER! The house was the perfect location, and had everything we could have ever imagined. Endless hours sitting on the porch swing enjoying the sunrises and sunsets and soaking in the hot tub! Lots of sight seeing with in a 30 mile range. Made many memories, and wouldn't be suprised if we didn't find ourselves coming back!

We loved cocktail hour on the porch - beautiful view of the ocean and an incredible sunset. Very comfortable home. Lovely bed linens and a very well stocked kitchen. We had a wonderful time!

Before our arrival and while there we had questions on a couple of things and the owners were prompt, polite, and helpful. Thank you Stephen Lees for all of your help and for answering our questions so quickly. The property is located within a short drive to the heritage town of Mendocino and many places of exceptional beauty preserved the way it may have looked hundreds of years gone by. There are so many things to explore and magnificent beauty to breath in. Relax. My work and pleasure seeking take me to many parts of the world and I frequently opt to stay at VRBO properties vs sterile hotels. This property exceeded our expectations in many ways. From the moment I opened the door it felt like a home and I nearly shouted “hello, I’m home!”. There were books galore all of my favourite genres, DVD’s, and enough games and puzzles to get one through a lockdown or power outage. In addition, there was WiFi and a SmartTV. The kitchen has everything that Betty Crocker would need to whip up a home cooked meal. Including, my favourite, cast iron skillets. Our pup was right at home as he snuggled down in the bed provided and the thoughtful owners even left a dog leash and clean up bags. My niece works 60 hour weeks and for her the hot tub was her go to. Sitting right next to the downstairs bedroom it was easy to go straight out and in on the chilly evenings and the stars were breathtaking. The house provides a view of the rugged Mendo coastline and there is even a small telescope in one bedroom to provide a closer view of marine life below. We both agreed that we would definitely stay her again when the opportunity rises that we visit this gorgeous wild part of Northern California. When I FaceTimed my husband in the UK he said, when can we both go! Don’t miss out on this lovely rustic and fairly priced “home away from home”.

Spent the most relaxing three days here over Spring Break. We felt right at home. The house is well-maintained without feeling sterile, spacious but cozy, with gorgeous views inside and out. We watched the sunset from the hot tub every evening and took in a sky full of stars at night. (We did luck out with the weather.) I worried there would be highway noise but it was very quiet at night. Kid- and dog-friendly, as advertised. We'll definitely be back.

The house was wonderful! The WIFI worked just fine for us! Was worried about that because we had two teens with us. The hot tub seemed new and was nice and hot! The road noise is very minimal! We were a little bummed that the outside grille broke the day before we arrived. We specifically booked the house because of hot tub, cool wrap around porch, and the grille. The owner did notify us the day before, which was great, but it also seems like one could have been purchased before our arrival at a local store. Other than that, great communication and great place to stay! Thank you!!

This was the perfect stay for our adventures in Anderson Valley and along the Mendocino coast. The house is beautiful and so comfortable, as is the neighborhood. Highly recommend staying here!

The property was very comfortable and cozy. We all enjoyed the view and ocean sounds from the house. The covered veranda was especially nice. There was ample room for the six adults. I would happily return in the future.

This house was perfect for our long weekend along the coast. We were 5 adults and 1 dog and had tons of space to puzzle, play games, enjoy the hot tub, and spot dozens of whales from the front porch. The house is in a great location along the coast. The house was well stocked with dog bowls and beds, and there were dozens of puzzles an games to keep everyone busy all weekend. We'll be back for sure!

This home is an amazing place to stay and I’m so glad we found it. It’s one of our favorite rental properties we’ve ever stayed in. The location and view can’t be beat, and the home is very well stocked and extremely comfortable. We felt right at home. The owners have a great selection of games, puzzles, movies and books available, and the kitchen is extremely well stocked. Everything was very clean and there were thoughtful touches throughout the home. We did encounter one issue during our stay, but Stephen responded right away and even drove several hours to ensure the issue was addressed and fixed as quickly as possible! We were very grateful for his prompt attention, and he was very friendly and easy to communicate with. We highly recommend this home and I am already looking at our calendar for when we can stay again!

We stayed with two other couples at this property for a long weekend. The house was packed with amenities! The hot tub was a wonderful way to end the day. The ocean view and sound of the waves was beautiful. We drank coffee on the deck ever morning. Very dog friendly too! I highly recommend and we will be back again!
