There is a reef right in front of the hotel which is perfect for snorkeling/diving. You can see a variety of fish, sea stars, turtles and even baracudas. Furthermore the place was clean and tidy. The staff was attentive and friendly. Even tough the place is on the quiet side of the island, major locations can easily be reached within 15 minutes. We highly recommend this place, especially to (free)divers.

Small hotel run with love and style. Well laid out rooms and facility; beautiful garden and thoughtful arrangement of outdoor seating, lounging or playing. The sea is right in front of you as well as beautiful sunsets. The restaurant offers various cuisines (the owner is Austrian) and is made with excellency in mind. For a small hotel like this and without a real beach, the stay was very relaxing. We felt being treated like family. The services were also high standards and unexpected for a small business: whether that is the friendly security guard, the massage services or the scooter rentals. No hassle. Good prices and just to relax. We stayed there for five nights and really enjoyed it. We "pampered" ourselves to a beach hotel (BE Grand Bohol; 5 stars) for the last two nights and experienced beautiful beach facilities but the worst food I had on any travel so far and a relatively anonymous/superficial atmosphere. We should have stayed another two nights in Panglao Beach Resort!!

Blackout shades would be great (it is bright daylight really early; 5am ish) and make sure there is always coffee available! :)

My partner and l are 12 days into a 15 day stay. Panglao Sea Resort is a superb experience. We had the good fortune to be here at the celebration of the owners (Alfred) 80th birthday and like the other guests were made to feel most welcome in joining with the staff in a joyous evening. Thank you Alfred and Liesel for your generosity and your kind hospitality. We have been so impressed with the management team and the reception we have received from all the staff has been warm and friendly. This resort was on the "quiet" side of the island which we liked. A trip to the White Beach where all the action is was easy, but it was great to get back to a quiet locale and enjoy a nice meal.

The room has ocean view, big and the hotel’s proximity to the water is exceptional. The staff is extremely nice. This hotel is good for couples who wants a quiet/relaxing vacation for it is isolated.

The hot water is only good for 2 minutes; the breakfast is not buffet as stated in booking.com; the food does not taste good at all. To top it all, we were not picked up from the airport upon arrival even if it was confirmed via email. In addition, their confirmed driver did not show up on our second day to give us a tour. We have to track him down to find out he is not coming.

Nice facilities- great pool. Restaurant had nice food (slow to come out but the taste was worth the wait). Great cocktails in the bar on a 2 for 1 deal during happy hours. Nice to have a snooker table in the bar area to enjoy a game and a cocktail in the evening. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Reception can help with calling trikes for transport - and really helped us out when our prearranged transport didnt show up, they helped us quickly find an alternative which was great. They can also help book bohol tours and transport for you. We stayed in the penthouse which had lots of space and great views. I was not a fan of the decor, but it has what you need.

As other reviews mention, The location is very isolated. We stayed just for a night to break up our journey from Siquijor to Cebu and to snorkle napaling reef and it was fine for that purpose. The house reef is beautiful but it is very hard to access as it is very shallow a long way before you reach the wall. However once you get out there it is nice- lots of fish and coral. Access would be easier at napaling which would just be a short trike ride away.

Great staff, very helpful. Best breakfast we've had whilst staying in the Philippines. Large room with a comfortable hotel-style bed. Amazing views over the sea with a sunset viewing roof. You can go swimming directly in front of the hotel.

The hotel is down a road by itself, so you need to hire a car or bike, or arrange local transport to go out. The hotel hires scooters.

The hotel staff/employees are very accomodating, they always greet you with a sincere smile. The place is cozy, quiet and peaceful which adds to the relaxation of your body and mind.

The hotel is located far (isolated) from other business establishments. Upon ordering food from their restaurant/bar, It would take them around 40 mins. to an hour to serve the food. The food, however, taste great, but the waiting is a bit lengthy. During our stay, unfortunately, their pool is under repair or renovation.

Excellent service & even the owner is very humble. He's the one who fetch us from the airport & drive us back for our departure. Staff are polite, friendly & serve us with a smile. Food are delicious. Very huge, peaceful & clean facilities, were you can enjoy the sea breeze of the ocean. We really enjoy our stay & surely we will be back soon! Highly recommended for everyone.

The room is big with a nice view of the sea. We enjoyed swimming in their huge outdoor pool. The food is superb especially the seafoods with reasonable price. Most of all, the staffs were polite and helpful

My children comlaint that their room got lots of ants and my son’ks fiancee suffer from havng ant bites. Was reported but, nothng been done.

An absolute gem. Great snorkeling location. Great service and staff. Rooms are very large and well equipped. Two choice of pillows. Nice Tv. Food was excellent. Best stay in the Philippines thus far. Quiet and peaceful.

It is close to a store but 15 minutes away from Alona Beach. Rent a scooter if you want to go to town.

Location was excellent (only 5 or 6 kms from the airport). Fantastic view from our room out to sea. Pool and associated facilities were all very good, with true Austrian thought involved...:-). Food was very good - not many places to get a true Wiener Schnitzel in PH, but this was definitely one!

Can't think of anything. We we only disappointed with one thing, which was that we were only there for two nights - wished it was seven.

The place is really clean and comfortable. All the staff is friendly and the owner was very accommodating. The location is a bit secluded, far away from the busy place of Alona beach so it’s really peaceful there.

It is expensive to travel to other places and the main beach.

The staff are really friendly, accommodating and thoughtful. They are all smiles and greet you nicely. We are very comfortable during our stay. I really appreciate the service of the staffs. They have a guard on watch 24/7 which I liked. I felt safe and secure. You can also ask them regarding tours or transportations. They can provide a shuttle service with fee. Since the place is far from other tourist spots in Panglao. But no worries they can also ask for tricabs or suggest other transpo. It would've been nice if you have private cars. They have a good parking space and a guard on watch. The place is so serene. If you want a calm, private and peaceful vacation, this is the perfect place to stay. The resort has a relaxing vibes. The rooms are clean, spacious and the view from our room is so nice. It definitely has an amazing view of the ocean. The terrace is such a vibe. I really like it. At night the resort just lit up with cool lights.. Spectacular! The food are also affordable and delish. The pool was nice and clean. The beach can easily be accessed. We had fun swimming there. I would definitely recommend you to book this resort .
