Recent addition of outside elevator made luggage and supplies quick and efficient. Plenty of space for individual or group event. Separate temperature control per floor was helpful . Will return

We had a great trip! The house is very nice and well-stocked. Decks on every level, and great views of the sound and the ocean. The master bedroom/bath are huge! We were able to put a pack-n-play and a twin air mattress in this bedroom. 2nd-floor bedrooms are a good size for 2 people. Very limited/no room to add a pack-n-play in any of these rooms. The elevator is a nice added feature. The sound is VERY shallow - in some areas no more than 6-12 inches of water during low tide! We have a skiff and struggled to navigate the waterway, except for a brief period during high tide. We ended up leaving the boat docked for the majority of our stay. Parking for 4 vehicles under the house and 1 large truck/trailer to the right of the driveway. Easy walk to the beach - approx 5 mins. No public parking at the closest beach access. Beach wagon, several backpack beach chairs, etc. available for use. Overall it was a great trip!

Beautiful home, well stocked, well maintained and well located. We watched dolphins in the Sound nearly every morning. Easy walk to the beach. Thanks for a fabulous week!

We had a great time staying here. First time on the sound-side, and we couldn't have been happier with the house: impressive views over the sound, short walk to the beach, decks on every level, very accessible owner. We had a canine family member with us who enjoyed her stay as well. The lift was very helpful for those less mobile.

I can’t say enough good about this property. It is even better in person then the listed pictures! We had family ranging from ages 18-80 and everyone had an amazing time. The host were very hospitable and checked in on us to be sure we had everything we needed. Very clean property and has all the essentials of a well managed home. We will definitely be back!! We loved our stay at Sounds Terrific. The house is beautiful, well equipped kitchen, wonderful neighbors, responsive owners, beautiful views, and great fishing spot off the pier. Our shihtzu was very glad that pets were allowed!

The home was perfect for our family vacation. The views of the sound were amazing, beach access was just a short walk, and the house had all we needed. Bruce even checked in on us to make sure our stay was going well. Would highly recommend the home to others!

Bruce and Margie's home is fabulous! You have 360° views of the ocean or sound. Perfect for a family vacation. We enjoyed fishing, swimming, and kayaking in the sound, and the shared dock made this so easy. You really only need to bring your clothes and food, as they have everything you will need for a perfect day at the beach (chairs, umbrellas, floats, wagon, sand toys, bikes, etc). Bruce reached out, periodically, to make sure our trip and stay was going well. You will not be disappointed with this home!

The pictures are an accurate representation of this lovely property. The homeowners were very interested in our comfort and were extremely helpful prior to check in with ideas for the area as we were first time visited to Emersld aisle, as well as after check in when we had a small issue with the air conditioning that they dealt with right away. The kitchen is nicely equipped and there was everything we could’ve needed and more in the house. The views of the sound are absolutely beautiful and the walk to the beach is five minutes or less. The dock is shared with neighbors next door, whom we got to know and are lovely people as well.

Views of sunrise and sunset. 5 bedrooms, everyone had their own room...4 on floor 2 and master on 3rd floor along with the den and kitchen. 3 and a half baths was nice too...2 on 2nd floor and 1 and a half on 3rd floor. There is no parking at the beach, other than for bikes. If you have an older guest you will have to drop them off and bring the car back to the house. Overall 5 stars.

This house had the most beautiful, expansive views. The kitchen was well stocked, the house very comfortable for our group, and parking was ample! The communication with the owners was well above average and the information provided about the house and the areas was excellent. Access to a local boat ramp was very easy, along with easy access to a sidewalk and to the beach. This house was the perfect spot for a great Thanksgiving for our family.

There isn't a single complaint I can come up with about this property. Bruce the owner was great at communication and had many recommendations about things to do in the area. The house is a 3 minute walk to the beach and there was hardly anyone on the beach so it felt very private. The house faces due north so we got perfect views of both sunrise and sunset. The shared dock is right out the back door and there's great fishing right there. Trout and flounder were mostly what we caught. The house is exceptionally equipped with crabbing and fishing gear, bikes, boogie boards, etc. The kitchen was one of the best we've seen in a rental. The only thing missing was a pair of bbq tongs which was provided once we mentioned it. The house is also just far enough from the main shopping area that it's very quiet, but not so far that it's a pain to get to. All around amazing place to stay on Emerald Isle.

This was our best vacation rental ever! The house is beautiful and roomy. It is the most well-stocked unit we’ve ever rented. The beach is a quick walk from the house. The owners are friendly and super-helpful! Thanks to them, we had an amazing stay!

The property is amazing. Views of the ocean from the front and side of the house and expansive views of the sound in the back. Large, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The elevator was an added bonus for luggage, groceries, and my 82 year old mother-in-law. We brought our kayaks and the dock was very convenient. Nice neighbors too. So many spaces to sit outside. The pictures do not do this home justice. The owners communicated well and we will most definetly be back next year if possible.

We had a great time in Emerald Isle and house was awesome. Bruce and Marjorie are great hosts who checked in with us in the beginning of the week to make sure that we were comfortable. Marjorie always answered any questions that we had and made great suggestions for places to visit. The house was perfect for our size group and had everything that you would need in the kitchen and beach closet. The wagon made it very easy to get to and from the beach. The neighbors are super friendly and was a pleasure to share the dock with them. We brought our Kayaks and SUP to use in the sound. Great paddling in the morning and beautiful sunsets in the early evening. Thank you and we will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time with family! The elevator was a must for our elderly mom and so nice for us as well! We traveled with our 3 year old grand baby, daughters and son in laws. The home was very clean and very nice! Nice cookware, wonderful screened in porch, beautiful sunrise and sunsets everyday! Close walk to the beach along with the pier and dock, which our small crowd enjoyed playing around! We had a blast! The only thing I would’ve changed would be to have a walk in shower on the second or third floor for the elderly, but overall 5 stars!

Clean house, perfect location, everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Views are outstanding! Home owners are easy to work with and very attentive. Big bonus - the neighbors next-door are very welcoming and friendly.

The only negative thing about the trip was the weather!! The house is beautiful and comfortable. We had never stayed on the sound side. It was peaceful and the dock was perfect for fishing. I would definitely rent again. The property owner was very pleasant to work with. He called to check on us which was so nice.

Stayed in many homes over the years at EI and this home has, by far, the best views, ocean and sound. Bruce and Margie are excellent hosts. Home has everything you could possibly need. Kitchen fully stocked, plus plenty of beach chairs, toys, tubes, fishing gear, every thing. Bruce and Margie are always available and the pride they have in their home shows.

Our stay at Sounds Terrific was wonderful! The views are like no other! The house was clean and very comfortable for our group of 3 Adults, 2 Teens and 1 infant. Bruce was very helpful and very easy to contact for any questions we had. We would highly recommend this house to anyone and will definitely be back!

Spend mornings and sunsets on the sound side deck and screen porch while days and evenings we were on the beach a short walk away. House was immaculate and lays out well for 10 people with 4 bedrooms on 2nd and MBR with kitchen and living on 3rd. 10 out of 10 voted this as their favorite stay and want to return.

This was our first soundside stay. Sunsets are awesome. The decks facing the sound are great for morning coffee and reading. We rented kayaks and easily took them out from the dock several days. Beach was easily accessed also. Nice layout. Great views.

We loved having the sound available to us especially rainy days. It is a shared dock but the permanent residents are lovely just gets crowded if they have guests. Would love to have had an extra fridge and a gas grill but other than that it had a lot of amenities.

I must say that being on the sound was terrific! It has an amazing view and easy access to the beach, plenty of parking, easy checkin and a large kitchen with lots of counter space. We were particulary glad that there was a screen porch. We brought our puppy and he enjoyed spending time there enjoying the view and the breeze and we knew he could't go any where. Even though we were there in November, we found some very good restaurants and fun things to do. Bruce was very responsive to all of our inquiries and had great suggestions for us to do. Very happy with our choice. Thank you, Bruce.

We had a wonderful week at Sounds Terrific ! This home has all the amenities that you will need and more!! My family enjoyed the convenience of fishing off the dock and the short walk to the beach . We will definitely vacation at Sounds Terrific again!!!!

The house is wonderful. You have a view of the water from almost every room in the house. The front of the house has great views of the ocean and the back of the house feels like you are in the sound. The house has plenty of living space. The main living space is open concept to the kitchen, which is really nice for family meals. There is also a small bonus room for the kids to hang out in on the second floor where the bedrooms are. There is an outdoor screened in porch with a table and a ceiling fan which is where we would have our breakfast. There are great wrap around porches on the second and third floors. Four out of five bedrooms have sliding glass doors onto the porches. The outdoor shower has cold and hot water--it is large with a separate area for your dry clothes. The house was comfortable and convenient to the water. It is a 2 block walk to the beach and there is a pier off the back of the house where we went paddle boarding and kayaking. This is a great house for vacation. I would definitely come back again.
