Where do I start. Adorable house, stocked with everything you need. Two blocks from the ocean, heads up though, the ocean is down hill so if your walking it’s an uphill walk home. There is a road, two blocks down the street from the house, that takes you in a circle around the ocean, with the most beautiful beaches and stairs to get down to the water. The closeness to the barnyard is amazing as we have a favorite Pub in the barnyard. Pacific Grove is a short drive on Highway 1. To be honest this house is so lovely we really just wanted to hang out at the house and neighborhood. The front yard is a masterpiece in wildflowers, and a sweet patio in the back. We will definitely be back, hopefully for a much longer stay.

Felt at home as soon as we entered. Couldn’t have asked for anyplace more charming and comfortable. Clean, comfortable beds and furniture. Outside patios complete the beautiful surroundings with beautiful flowers, and 2 blocks from the ocean! Very quiet and serene. Can’t wait to come back!

Our family had a great time. Walk to the beach is short (5 min) and the backyard outdoor space was enjoyable as well. Drive to downtown also 5 min. Really nice location and the house was super clean.

Great location. It’s a little dark, but nicely furnished and decorated. Beds are comfy. Made use of fire pit and bbq. Easy 3 min walk to beaches

This was a beautiful Carmel cottage with everything imaginable for a comfortable stay. The only downside was having to leave!!

My husband and I enjoyed every moment of our stay. Our favorite place to date. Only “issue” is the small bed (hubby is over 6ft and 220 😂) bigger bed would have been better lol

A perfect cottage for my family, including my dog. The cottage feels larger on the inside than it looks on the outside. It contained everything that we needed for a great stay. Only a short walk to beach and a longer walk to downtown. I will certainly consider reserving the cottage again in the future.

Second time at this place

Super clean, comfortable, and convenient for our trip for the Big Sur Marathon! Walked to Carmel Beach several times. Safeway and restaurants about one mile away. Loved enjoying the outdoor patio space. Kitchen had everything we needed. Nice quiet neighborhood.

Great location. Good open floorplan with private courtyard Purple Flowers create an enchanting front garden. We enjoyed a real fire during a rainy day and played a game with much laughter.

The pictures do not do this house justice! It’s clean, spacious, 2 en-suite’s… perfect for a family or friends to travel together.

Karen's Sea Cottage afforded us the perfect getaway over spring break! It was just the right size for my visiting Dad, college aged daughter, our beach-loving dog, and me. With a cozy living room, updated kitchen, beautiful gardens and patio, we spent most of our time at the house and on daily walks along the ocean. The house is a short walk to multiple beaches and in a lovely and quiet neighborhood south of downtown. Many thanks to Karen for being so responsive and welcoming!

Excellent location, steps from beaches. Cozy, well maintained and comfortable home. Host set up fireplace for our use, clear instructions. Easy check in and out.

Located in a beautiful neighborhood that is fun walking. About two easy walking blocks to the beach with great tidal pools for our two year old granddaughter and dog. And the sunsets! It was fun to be part of the community during sunsets and at the beach. We enjoyed also walking into town- a longer walk — and parking looked like it would be difficult in town but was not. We enjoyed alot of seafood. The house was wonderfully appointed with plenty of extra bed pillows and linens , blankets, beach towells and chairs. This is the way I set up my bay house in the Chesapeake- we didn’t end up using the fire table, the indoor fireplace or the grill but appreciated they were there. We are big fans of outdoor showers and patios. So we really enjoyed those. The big gathering room was beautifully appointed for a family of five to six to hang out in comfortably as well. Everything very well taken care of and clean. Thank you for the use of your very lovely house!

This is our second stay at this lovely cottage. Location is great for beach walks. Close to downtown restaurants and just a short drive to Point Lobos. A little slice of heaven!

Close enough to the beach and yet far enough to shops and restaurants to walk everywhere

My husband and I stayed at this property during our trip to attend Rennsport 7 with multiple events around the Monterey peninsula. The house and outdoor space space was lovely and just as described in the listing. Check in was simple and we were very comfortable there. We know our way around the area and knew everything we wanted to do was very convenient to the home. Also it is an easy walk to the beach. We very much enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay again in the future!

Such a lovely place to stay! Everything was perfect! We had many scenic walks to view the ever changing coastline 😍

The cottage was wonderful in every way. We especially enjoyed the patio: meditation and reading in the warm morning sunlight and sitting out and talking in the late afternoon upon our return from one of the 3 nearby beaches or Point Lobos. Karen is great to communicate with and planning with her is simple and easy.

We really enjoyed our stay—a cozy fireplace with firewood ready to be burned in the fireplace. A fully stocked kitchen, BBQ, comfortable bed, walk to the beach, and/or Ocean Ave. for food, shopping, etc. We look forward to going back soon. Note: If your cell service is sensitive, I highly recommend getting the code to open the front door before arriving.
