Situé sur l'étang de George à Franklin, dans le Maine, ce charmant chalet en bord de mer est le rêve des vacanciers. Situé à quelques kilomètres de l'océan et du magnifique parc national de l'Acadie, ce chalet possède un lit queen dans la chambre principale, un lit double dans la chambre et cinq lits jumeaux dans les deux chambres à l'étage.
Deux kayaks pour 2 personnes, un canoë et une chaloupe en aluminium, ainsi qu'un quai et un flotteur de natation vous offrent toutes sortes d'activités aquatiques ou vous pouvez vous asseoir sur le porche avant et regarder les enfants jouer sur la plage ou nager dans le étang. Attrapez également la truite, l'achigan et le brochet dans les eaux.
L'étang est l'approvisionnement en eau, et nous vous laissons de l'eau en bouteille pour boire et cuisiner.
De nombreux sentiers de randonnée sont également situés dans la région de Franklin. La faune est abondante dans les forêts entourant le chalet.
Les pygargues à tête blanche, les balbuzards pêcheurs et les huards sont des visiteurs fréquents de l'étang en face du chalet. Le soir, vous pouvez observer les étoiles, cuisiner des s'mores dans le feu de camp côté plage ou simplement vous asseoir et profiter de la paix et de la tranquillité des environs.

My aunt and uncle from Florida and my mom and I stayed a week at the cabin. I cannot stress enough that if you want to experience the beauty of Maine you HAVE to stay here. The lake was breathtaking, the cabin was cozy and had absolutely everything we needed including a canoe and two kayaks which we used daily. My uncle fished daily as well. Besides all of that, the location is amazing for visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia without dealing with the crowds and prices. I also hiked with my dogs multiple times in the wildlife conservation area close by. The hosts are a phone call away at all times and we could tell they loved the area and cabin as much as we did. All of these things made this hands down one of the best vacations we have taken.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at the Alley Cabin. Our biggest surprise was how peaceful it was. Every morning we woke up and had our coffee sitting on the porch with a perfect view of the pond. We saw bald eagles, loons, ducks along with all other kinds of wildlife. The cabin was perfectly suited for our family of 5, plenty of beds to go around.
The Alley Cabin had canoes and kayaks so we could go out and explore the entire pond. The first morning my wife and I saw a bald eagle perched on a rock as we drifted by in the kayak. Just a beautiful peaceful place that we would love to visit again. We also rented a pontoon boat from Port Harbor Marine. The boat really gave us full access to the pond to fish, cruise around and just anchor and swim.
Tim checked in with us on the first day to make sure we found the cabin because it's really tucked back in the woods away from any paved roads. He also checked in with us to see if we had everything we needed and to see if we were enjoying our stay. Such a gracious host that we knew was only a text or call away if we needed him.
This was a 5 star experience that my family and I will have memories of forever! A big thanks to the Alleys!

Property was in great location. Short drive to explore bar harbor and acadia.
This house has the best waterfront on georges pond! Step to the lake right from the front porch.
Great fishing and kayaking lake!
Only thing i would change is the clutter in house, storage area under stairs was full of stuff and empty boxes.
Could have used that area for more food/paper good storage.
Other than that, house was great!

We booked our family vacation to celebrate our youngest child's high school graduation. Even with rain and fog for most of the week we had a great time kayaking, fishing, exploring Bar Harbor and Ellsworth, and hiking in Acadia. The cabin was a little funky when we arrived, but we opened the windows and knocked down some cobwebs and enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us and lots to do.

Private, right on the pond, kayaks included. While we enjoyed the privacy, this is a great place for families in the warmer months. No frills, but everything you need is included. Our three little dogs loved being able to roam on the beach and explore. The loons could be heard in the evening, and four of them visited the morning we were leaving. We had a nice relaxing week, thank you.

This was a perfect place if you're looking for a quiet place to unwind. The lake view is beautiful and peaceful. Unfortunately it was a bit too chilly while we were there to go out on the lake, but appreciate the water crafts are available if the weather cooperates.
The place is a little difficult to find, especially if you're arriving at night, so would recommend getting there during daylight if possible. Tim was able to walk us through getting there pretty easily though.
One note for those visiting in colder weather, it does get chilly in the cabin, space heaters and blankets are provided, but would recommend bringing some warm clothes to hang around in!

This is our third time renting this house and my family loves it. The waterfront location is the best, the kids are never short of activities. We have always loved the quiet area while still having close proximity to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

What a great week!
We a full house... 6 adults, 3 kids, and 1 dog. The kids loved fishing off the dock, canoeing, swimming, and kayaking. Sitting on the porch reading and taking in the beautiful scenery was my favorite thing to do.
We went to Acadia several times (gorgeous!). We were able to see all the top spots in Acadia and have a couple lazy days at the cabin. Perfect balance for my family.
Overall a great experience for everyone. The kids want to come back again next summer!

Relaxed camp vacation
If you are looking for a relaxed, rustic Maine camp experience this is a wonderful place. The property is exactly as described with a private beach steps off the porch! The water was pleasantly warm and we had a great time kayaking around the pond and exploring the shoreline and little islands. Great place for kids just learning to swim as it is very shallow.

Wonderful family vacation!
Our family of four had a wonderful family vacation. The house had everything we needed and plenty of space for our family. The private waterfront location was quiet, peaceful and just lovely! We saw loons, ducks, eagles, rabbits, turkey and deer. It was an easy drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The sunrise on the pond is spectacular!

Rental was quite easy. The owner contacted me in advance by phone and email about check-in process, which was smooth and contactless.
The cottage was cozy with 7 beds, but certainly adequate for the listed 9 capacity with two of the beds being doubles. (We had 7.) The dining table seats 6 so we used a camp chair and squeezed together. The single bathroom was not a problem.
The gem of the property is the lakeside location with a small private coarse sand beach. We had regular first visits but some duck families and a pair of loons. Tall evergreen trees surrounding the cottage were home to sparrows and some cedar waxwings and others we never quite saw.
The access to the owners small water craft was fantastic. Our teenagers and 20s had fun kayaking, canoeing and trying a paddle board on the lake. On one trip, we even saw a bald eagle keeping watch from a dead pine
The location had easy access to Acadia National Park, especially the Schoodic peninsula which we totally missed our last time to Maine. We spent three different days exploring parts of the park.

Relaxing and beautiful stay
Every relaxing and a peaceful place to stay. They provided us with everything we needed. The commutation with the owner was excellent. Definitely would stay again. The cottage was right on the water and very private.

Perfect location to reconnect with nature
We had a perfect week at this cottage. We lucked out with perfect weather! We grilled almost every night. House had everything we needed. We loved the fire pit and seeing the amazing sky at night. Great location on the water and house was perfect distance from the crowds of Bar Harbor. Each morning we enjoyed the loons, ducks and otters right from the front porch while we had coffee :) We even say an eagle! Thank you for the much needed visit with nature.

Nice place to get away. 3 adults and a dog. Really thought my labradoodle would finally swim to get the ducks, but no such luck. She kept them away from the shore though.
Kitchen appliances were very clean! Microwave looked brand new. Pleasantly surprised by not being bothered by mosquitoes the whole week. I would have enjoyed relaxing there, kayaking, reading, and knitting, but my son and husband are always wanting to be active so we traveled to Acadia 4 of the days we were there. Our last morning we were entertained by a pair of loons.
The only thing dampening the peaceful experience was construction going on a little across the lake starting early in the morning and late night loud music from across the lake, but that is certainly not the fault of the owners. It was cool enough in the evening to shut the windows to cut down the noise.

PS- Wicked Munchies in Ellsworth and Smokey's BBQ & Lobster in Trenton were two of our favorite spots to eat! The clam chowder and smoked lobster were AMAZING

Absolutely perfect property for my family! Shopping was close by but we were also secluded. The water was exceptional! It was so clear you could see to the bottom. Lots of swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking and bonfires on the beach. It rained on & off for 3 days but we still had a blast! Wonderful vacation! See ya next year!

Absolutely perfect property for my family! Shopping was close by but we were also secluded. The water was exceptional! It was so clear you could see to the bottom. Great lake front cabin
I have stayed at the property with my family recently (adults, grandparents and teenager kids). It is a great cabin right on the water with amazing views. They have a dock to fish right off the property which my son utilized quite often:) We had really good weather where we enjoyed the small beach and the kayaks provided. Cabin is modest but has everything one would need while on vacation. Proximity to Bar Harbor and Schoodic allowed us to go on day trips and then retreat to the peaceful location. Highly recommend it,

Peaceful Cabin
Nice quiet and private location. Plenty to do in the area within an hour drive. Plenty to do at the cabin as well. We only had four people, so living room was fine for us but if you had more it may be tight.

Wife's Birthday
My wife and I were craving a get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and Tim's property didn't disappoint. The property was just as advertised. There was no sound or light pollution giving us peaceful nights of star gazing. The pond is huge and with the kayaks provided we explored every bit of it. It's also about 45 minutes from Bar Harbor, which is a must stop if you want a day of great restaurants and hiking Cadillac Mountain. Tim was an excellent host!

We had an amazing week at this lake house. Property had everything that was listed, clean, easy check-in and very comfortable. Relaxation time for the parents, fun things to do for the kids and quick and easy trips to Bar Harbor and Acadia.
