The place was easy to find a little off the beaten track but that's what we like. All was as it said it was, clean, comfortable, with a little kitchenette, although a kettle would have been useful to make a cup of tea. We really liked the walk (about 1/2k) to the bar/restaurant had a great meal but unfortunately England lost to France. Would definitely use again on our annual santander /Portsmouth run.

The turn in was rather awkward and the tow bar scraped the ground. Our car is quite low though and there was a lot of wine inside so probably normally laden perhaps would not be an issue. Sadly the jacuzzi function on the bath didn't work. No hair dryer.

Traveling through the north of Spain we needed an accomodation relatively close to the highway. This place was absolutely amazing: friendly and helpful owners, clean, comfortable, good size rooms, freshly decorated bathrooms, lovely garden and easy communication: late booking and check-in were not a problem.

Fantastic chalet, super clean and tidy, spacious rooms, nice little balcony with garden views.

The beds were not the best, spring mattresses are not very comfortable, but they were not all bad. I wished there were some coffee/tea facilities inside the bedroom, although there were in the kitchen free for people to use.

It was extremely clean, we have never stayed anywhere so clean before! The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The accommodation was well thought out, well designed and incredibly comfy! I had the best shower of my life!

There were a lot of plug in air freshners which made me cough and hurt my throat, had to remove them and put them in the wardrobe...but that is just a personal thing I know. We had 2 rooms....the double bed was insanely comfortable but the twin beds were quite uncomfortable

The house is superb. - A big plus was a small kitchen downstairs that we could use. It has a fridge, microwave and kitchenware. - A nice garden we could use at any time. - They had a very sociable dog, Flyn :)

The location. It was far from everything but if you come by car, is no big deal.

The owner is a super-friendly person. The house has typical traditional architecture, the rooms are spacious and have great views. The place is very tranquil.

As it is located in a bit of a remote area, a car to arrive is needed.

Small hotel with comfortable beds in a very quiet area. Plenty of cozy seats in the garden for a drink or bite (bring your own, although wine available to purchase I believe). Short drive to the coast and plenty hikes in the surrounding area.

There is a shared kitchen, which is nice for making your own food (no breakfast offered and no restaurant on site). However the kitchen lacks things like a stove, coffee machine or kettle. There is only a microwave available.

Lovely guest house with exceptional staff, very friendly and accommodating! Beautiful property, nice garden and convenient location, 12-min drive to Santillana del Mar, 15-min drive to La Concha Beach/La Roca Blanca in Suances. Clean room, decorated with taste, pretty garden and the cutest pets! Small parking lot with enough space for all the guests. The only thing that we didn't like were the beds, which are small and quite uncomfortable, due to the uneven spring mattresses.

Terrible beds

The house looks really nice. The room was spacious, with a good bathroom. The garden is lovely. The host was very friendly.

1. The acoustic is a huge problem. Our room was at the 1st floor. We heard everything happening around us. We were unlucky to have 4 cars (we don’t know how many people) arriving late, after midnight. They were very noisy going up the stairs and talking loudly. Slamming doors, locking and unlocking the doors constantly, showering... a nightmare! At 00.30 a.m. someone even knocked our door, thinking we were one of his friends!!!! 2. We didn’t like the mattress. It didn’t prevent the “roll-together” and it didn’t reduce the transfer movement to other areas of the mattress. So, if you are sensitive to this issue, don’t hesitate and go for the twin beds. 3. The internet was almost inexistent in our room. 4. It is a pity they don’t serve breakfast, as there aren’t options nearby, unless you take the car.

The house is rural and perfect for staying close to Santander and the surrounding attractions! Kind staff and very clean!
