Nice property, great location. There were a few issues. The boat dock is not in. Most families coming up will be fishing or playing on the lake. We were able to beach two medium size boats between the rocks but it's a tight fit. None of the outside power outlets were working. Was able to charge trolling motor batteries with a 100 ft extension cord in the house and under the door. Pans are provided but the are 1960s aluminum and burn everything. Good luck frying fish or eggs! Bring your own! Lastly the mosquitos are horrendous this year, obviously nobody's fault, just plan on lots of bug spray!

The property is spacious and right on the water. We had plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms. The kitchen met our needs. My husband struggles with stairs so it would have been nice to know of the few stairs to get to the main part of the house. We used the fire pit, sauna and grill. We had a great stay.

For a family that travels with our awesome dog, what's not to love? The kids all had their own bed and they needed them after playing all day in the sandy bottomed north end of Lake Gogebic or tromping the trails to numerous nearby (30 to 40 minutes drive) waterfalls. We made use of the provided canoe with a few sunset trips along the north shore. We fired up the charcoal grill several times and even cooked hot dogs and s'mores over the fire by the lake (we bought roasting sticks). It was quiet around the lake during the week while boat traffic picked up a bit on the weekends. Mostly pontoons and fishing boats. It's a big lake with lots of room. In the evenings we enjoyed the pastel sunsets and even got to watch a few storms forming well south of us. We made sure to get outside on the clear nights to take in all the stars and the Milky Way cloud. I remember seeing that as a kid, but rarely since then due to increased light pollution. Dawn was very quick to answer any questions and made some great recommendations on local places to see and to eat at. We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen, which had everything we needed. We appreciated having the laundry facility as well, to make sure the swimsuits were clean, dry and ready for the next use. Not sure when we'll get a chance to go back, but would not hesitate to book this property again.

This was a great location right on Lake Gogebic. The great room was large and comfy. The kitchen was well stocked but a little crowded. It would have been nice to have a cupboard or two for our food. Having two bathrooms for 6 adults was great but one was at the other end of the house from the bedrooms. It was a lovely remodeled bathroom, though.

The property is right on the lake, closer than it appears in the pictures. It has enough space to sit out in the back yard looking over the lake. The lake bottom is perfectly sandy for swimming and not too deep. There is an area to launch kayaks as well. The property is also bigger than it appears in the pictures. The bar area is between the house and garage, which creates a nice place to hang out inside away from the bedrooms after the kids went to bed. The property owner responded promptly to any questions. Bergland is a few minutes away for any supplies. It is only a 15 minute drive to Lake Superior.

All in all, everything was good. The house was plenty large for our needs. All necessities were provided. We enjoyed time with family while there. The lake is a good size- about waist deep for an adult at the shoreline of the house. We enjoyed playing games, doing puzzles, watching movies, boating, sitting by the lake, visiting nearby waterfalls, etc. We are grateful for our time there. Thank you Dawn. The Jack D family

The location is perfect on the Lake with the sandy beach! The cottage was clean and spacious. Dawn was easy to work with and had quick responses to any questions. She was very good about working on and fixing any issues we had. A couple minor issues we had couldn’t be resolved during our stay but it didn’t ruin our vacation. Dawn will get in touch with the right person to get it resolved for the next guests. We really enjoyed the cottage and hope to stay again next year!

Had a group of 8 guys up for an ice fishing weekend and there was plenty of room for parking for trucks and trailers. Access to the lake was very easy also. The cabin was very nice and spacious, warm, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend!! Communication with the owner also very good!

We had a great time during our trip to Bergland. This cabin was clean, conveniently located to the trail system and local restaurants. Would highly recommended it.

The property was easy to find and access. There is a lot of space inside - it's bigger than it appears from the outside. This worked well for us, two families coming with kids. The home was comfortable and everything was as described. The kids enjoyed the shallow sandy lakefront for hours! Easy access point for our kayaks and a dock for the pontoon. We also enjoyed the fire pit outside for s'mores and socializing by under the stars. The charcoal grill did the job for cooking up burgers and chicken. There is a great social room inside in the bar area, too. A couple of us used the sauna and they liked that as well. We had a great time. Thanks!

Good Value

This was a fine place to stay for a long weekend. There are no frills but the basics are covered. Bring your own shower soap and shampoo. Also bring your own lawn lawn chairs. Gogebic is a beautiful lake!!

This is a great place to stay. The ownership is really easy to deal with and this is our third year of coming up to go snowmobiling. The location of the house is perfect the amenities are awesome well worth the money

What a view of the lake! Great location to snowmobile, we really enjoyed the wood stove and the bar after a couple full days of riding, House was very clean and the beds were very comfortable, owner was very quick to respond to any questions! We will be back

We had a nice time at Sandy Beach property. Great location and we enjoyed the sauna, fishing, swimming, and set out hiking and exploring the area. Only minor complaint is that it is a little dated and was not the cleanest--but we are pretty easy going and it did not deter us from having fun. Plenty of space for 8 of us which was nice. Overall we had a great time in Bergland!

House is beautiful with lots of open space allowing view of lake to let you relax. Sauna is wonderful. It's a nice walk to the Hoop n Holler that does serve good food. Also docked the pontoon there. Good location, nicely decorated, relaxing stay.

This is a great place to stay. Great location and an excellent house. This is an excellent value and the caretaker was excellent to work with.

Just as advertised! Also, being close to Timberline Sports came in handy when I needed sled repair and a rental.
