Property is beautiful. Very spacious. Home has all need amenities. Owner was very helpful and quickly responded to any questions. We have booked again. Wonderful stay.

Everything from the location of the house on the lake to the house and property itself… it was absolutely perfect!

A group of us stayed here to snowmobile during the week, we've done this for many years and have stayed a lot of places. This is probably the best place we've ever stayed both from the property standpoint and location. It's a great centralized location for the trails in the area, the trail goes right by the cabin and the lake makes it so you can't get anywhere you want. Everything from the beautiful spacious house to the garage with snowmobile mats was spot on, look forward to doing it again. Thank you!

We enjoyed the home,, it’s lg front yard and dock, did some fishing with are boat and a rental pontoon from Bears nine pine resort so elderly in-laws could get on the lake also. The lake is very nice, the view is wonderful from home. Played pool, cards in lower level, Some of us went to porcupine state park for some hiking the lake in the clouds, is worth the short drive to see, as well as the waterfalls, and shore of big lake. We’ll be back. Thanks!!

Our family of nine had a wonderful time! Renting this home was easy and very accommodating. Has fire pit and firewood and camp chairs and most everything else you’d need for a good time. Note to owner: Add to list of amenities included: crock pot, electric griddle, firewood, fire pit.

This property is wonderful! Everything you need to have a great getaway. We stayed for one week as an extended family-7 adults and 6 kids, age 1 year to 17. Doug is very timely with all communication and answered all questions. The house is comfortable for sleeping, plenty of beds that are cozy and wonderful for a great night of rest. Plenty of linens provided as well. Games provided for indoor and outside. Baby gate on the stairs, high chair and crib all very handy! Great location for daytrips- recommend Bonanza Falls, Lake Superior beach at State Park outside Silver City and the Porcupine Mountain area. The lake also has great access and plenty of rentals in the area, we enjoyed kayaks, fishing and a day with a pontoon. There is local State Park with small beach and a county park all very close. We even got to see nature-bald eagles, deer and elk. The yard was wonderful for games and space for kids to play and adults to relax. We loved staying here!

This house is perfectly set up for large family fun. From the lake, to the kitchen, the game room and the fire pit. Owners were super awesome as well!

It was a nice private property with a good size front yard. The house layout is excellent and very clean my whole group loved the place.

The host was very nice and quickly responsive. The cabin was the best place I’ve stayed at. It had every amenity you would need. Had a nice kitchen to cook if you didn’t want to go out to eat. We played a lot of pool, games since it was still cold out. This place is great for a family/friends meetup.

The pictures does not do justice. The house was very spacious and had plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the gorgeous lake view and the amenities such as the pool table and dart. I would recommend this place!

Fantastic view, spacious house, and plenty of house supplies. I wish the owner could have responded my email about key code before we arrived. Fortunately we figured out that the back door was not locked and were able to get into the house right away. The house is gorgeous, and the cleaning lady was very generous to leave the fireplace on, so we could arrive to a very warm house ia cold raining night.

Our group of 13 fit very comfortably in this home with room to spare! The setting and home are beautiful! Our only problem was one of nature-bugs. We took time to visit many waterfalls in the area and enjoyed swimming in Lake Superior. Some of the family rode their ATVs on the many trails available. Loved this family vacation!

The owners have it all covered! It truly was almost like a hotel-had everything but their own branded little soaps! Beautiful property and a fantastic view! Fishing was tough! We caught just enough for one fish fry. House was spacious enough for 8 adults and a baby. Flys were bad inside the house when we arrived but much better by the time we left. Sheets were not great so bring your own if you like smooth sheets. Beds were very comfortable! Windows were very dirty but views were awesome! I have never seen so many stars while we sat around the campfire. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We rented a pontoon and fishing boats from Bear Nine Pine resort so used the lake a lot! Watch for the high winds because whitecaps can form. Beautiful country!!!!

Dog hair all over the cover on the sofa in the lower level plus on the floor. This is the first time in 8 years that we had to clean before moving in. We always enjoy renting this home. Thank you!

The hous was beautiful and fit our family perfectly. What a great week in th U.P.. We had so much fun we have already booked for next year!

We were looking for a place on a lake with a local pontoon rental. It had to have 4 bedrooms for our large family. I tried looking in parts of Minnesota, Wisconsin and the UP Michigan. When we found Cool Water Shores, it seemed perfect. One room had a crib for our son's family with a 2 year old. Another room had bunk beds for my other son's family with 2 older kids. And the master has it's own bathroom. Bonus! It all seemed too good to be true. When we get here, it was even better than we expected. We all instantly fell in love with the home. Large enough to fit us all comfortably for family time in the family room downstairs,  large enough to spread out. We played pool, darts, games and had family movie night. We made so many wonderful memories! Within 30 - 60 minutes are 2 wonderful family friendly hikes: Black River Falls Scenic Byway (4 separate pull overs with a short hike) and Presque Isle waterfalls (boardwalks/stairs). We also rented a pontoon from West Shore resort a few doors down. Dinner at Fish Tails was excellent. Amazing home, great location, and a beautiful lake. Love, love, love it here!

Perfect spot for our family to enjoy snowmobiling and skiing. The cabin is immaculate with everything you need. The beds were amazing - so comfortable. The cabin is located right on a trail #1 and also very easy access to the lake. We also spent a day at nearby Indianhead ski resort. A bit cold to really enjoy the skiing, but we still had a great time and so nice to go back to such a beautiful home after a day outdoors. Wish we could have stayed longer. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful house!

We stayed from May 26,2015 - June 20th, 2015 & hated to leave! The house was a wonderful vacation experience & housed our large family nicely. The owners thought of everything! Fishing was great but alas few keepers - plan on coming back next year!

This was our first time renting a vacation home. We needed a place to stay on our way up to Michigan Tech. After reading online reviews of other vacation homes, we decided to take a chance on Cool Water Shores. When we arrived to the home, we couldn't believe what we saw. Deer greeted us as we got out of the vehicle. What a perfect way to start our trip! As we entered the home, you immediately look straight through the home onto the lake. The owners of this home knew exactly what to do to capture the beauty of the area. The gigantic bay windows allow for deer viewing in the backyard every morning and evening. This home had everything you could ever need or want. I loved being able to relax and not have to worry about anything. Throughout the reservation process, anytime I called the owner, Doug, he displayed excellent customer service skills and always made me feel comfortable. I would recommend this home to all my friends and family. Thank you Cool Water Shores for making this Illinois family feel so welcomed! **Info for future vacationers** Since we were there at a bad time of year, there wasn't much to do outside and not much going on in other towns. In fact, we ate at JW's BBQ (which was AMAZING!) and they said it was their last day of operation for the season. If you plan on a Lake Gogebic vacation March-April, make sure you contact all the places you want to visit to verify they will be open.

Our family spent the week of Christmas 2014 at this great get away, the snow was plentiful to get a few days of snowmobiling in and the view was grand. I will say some of the pics don't do this home justice, It is a lot better in person than just looking on the internet. We spent a lot of time playing pool, cards at the poker table, and of course toasting with Christmas cheer. I hope to return again in the coming years to enjoy the U.P. in all it's grandness and beauty.

Spent 4 nights at this awesome home. It's not roughing it when the home is nicer than your own! The lake is amazing and the house is very private. Our group of 8 guys enjoyed every minute fishing. The bar and pool table made it a challenge to get out of bed each morning to hit the lake bright and early. We will be back again in 2013. Thanks for the great house.

Our family spent a great week on the lake in this BEAUTIFUL home! Well equipped, every detail covered right down to the campfire wood. Fishing was great, and good memories made. It's a peaceful, quiet lake...we woke up to the loons calling. A hike to Lake Superior via beautiful Presque Isle park was a perfect outing day. My only note to future visitors: Be sure to come prepared with plenty of food though, (we did), since there are not nearby grocery stores. THANKS Doug!! :-))) We hope to return!
