House was perfect for extended family to have a blast. There is a lot of room to spread out. Lots of amenities for various ages. The house has EVERYTHING - even basic spices you may have forgotten. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

Checked every box for weekend away with my family, brothers and sisters families and mom and dad. Great location for hot air balloon festival and easy access to Galena and the territories pool and amenities. Communication with property manager was prompt. Mouse droppings were found in two beds however owner was prompt about getting clean bedding.

The house was perfect for a girls weekend! It was clean and there was plenty of space for all ten of my friends to sleep. We had a great time playing games at the large dining room table. It’s close to downtown Galena for shopping. The owner provided detailed information prior to our stay and was very accommodating. Thank you, Sandy! You have a beautiful house!

The property is nice, secluded and has a “zen” vibe with a cool sunroom that overlooks the yard. The owners were also great to work with!

House was perfect for our large group. Plenty of bedrooms for everyone with areas of privacy. Common areas were great for playing games, having coffee, dining, etc.

We really can't compliment the property enough. Everything was exactly as promised, and even with 7 of us there was space enough for socializing and the business side of an office retreat. The kitchen was stocked better than any other I've seen. The beds were comfortable and the quiet made for easy sleep.
Communication was prompt and accommodating. We hope to return next year and beyond.

Beautiful home! We celebrated our family Christmas together with our son and daughter's families. There were 11 of us - 3 couples and 5 children ranging in age from 8 to 18. The house was perfect with plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked and we had everything we needed for making meals. We loved the sunroom. Perfect place to sit and read and we even got to watch deer in the woods behind the house. It had snowed before we got there and again while we were there which made an even prettier setting. The owner was excellent to work with. This is a beautiful home and we highly recommend it. Hope we can come back to stay here again!

This was a great place for a family get together. Plenty of places to eat and hang out inside. It feels like you're deep in the woods, but it is easy to get to the property off the main roads. We had a great time.

This is the perfect home if you are looking for a getaway in the deep woods without having to go to the deep woods. Looking out the windows or sitting on the deck, you think you are in the forest, not on a golf resort property. Home was very clean and nicely decorated. The loft space in the carriage house was a nice space with privacy, separated from the other guests in the main home. Main house is on a hill with a fairly steep driveway, but we had two elderly guests that had no issues getting into the house from in front of the garage. A little tight backing up from the home, but it is manageable. Lots of wildlife, especially the wild turkeys and coyotes, so if you bring a pet, be careful. Would definitely consider this property again.

This house was perfect for our family trip! We made a night trip to field of dreams but otherwise cooked meals in the house and enjoyed good company. The kids loved the wooden train set and playing outside in the yard! Highly recommend!

The house is gorgeous inside and out and better than the photos indicate. The house is highly upgraded and high end appliances and finishes throughout. The setting of the home is so beautiful with so much glass and windows that allow the beautiful lot and trees and setting to be seen at all times.
The host was very responsive and kind with all questions.
The house is perfect for a large group. Everyone has space to hang out together or to have their own separate space to relax away from the larger group when needed.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are all very nice and very comfortable beds and bedding.
The kitchen is one of the best stocked kitchens we have ever seen in a rental with pots and pans and spices and indicates that someone actually uses it as a home and not just a rental and that makes a huge difference when feeling comfortable in a house.
We went to the Owners club both days and got lucky with gorgeous weather but the pools there are really nice!

We traveled from Kansas City, Chicago, and Wichita to gather for several days at this beautiful property near Galena, IL. The house and carriage house were perfect for our crew - 10 adults and 6 children between the ages of 1 and 6. Enjoyed exploring Galena, golfing, and the Eagle Ridge Owners' club pools, (especially the great toddler pool) and tennis courts. The grandchildren loved our morning spent hiking with goats.
The home was spacious and lovely, with a beautiful large deck in front overlooking the densely wooded property. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and serve meals for our large group. Sunset walks down the quiet road were an evening ritual. Our host, Sandy, responded quickly to any questions. Would highly recommend this home.

If you have adult children and want to get everyone away for a bit, this house has secluded bedrooms for privacy, large common gathering areas for time together, plenty of parking that does NOT require jockeying cars to get people in and out, and lots to do within 5-15 minutes of the house. And spacious outside areas for grilling, watching the abundant wildlife, playing yard games.

The house was surrounded by woods and felt like we were in Colorado, very peaceful. The kids enjoyed the Owners Club pool and gym facilities. Our favorite room was the sun room, felt like we were sitting outside. We enjoyed family time together exploring Galena.

This was an excellent choice for our large family of our four grown children, their spouses and our five grandchildren. The house was spacious and had several areas where adults or children could take a breather from the large group as needed. The surrounding yard is beautiful and private. Everything was in excellent shape.

Our stay was nearly perfect for us and our three married children and our grandchildren. The blizzard on the day of our arrival made us very anxious, but Sandy (the host) kept us informed about the road conditions. The house was spacious and clean and even prettier than the pictures (loved the Christmas decorations). I have hearing aids but because of the layout of the house and carpeting, the noise level was not uncomfortable. The amenities for the Owners was a huge hit with the grandchildren. And the Carriage House worked great for the one couple with a pet. We hope to return again in the future!

The house was spotless and a pleasure to stay in, lots of open spaces and places to sit. The seperate (approx 200' away' guest house over the garage was also nice.

Overall, we had a great experience, unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate, however, there was plenty of space inside for the kids to spread out and play while the adults could still have some relatively peaceful conversations. All the televisions had Disney Plus as well as a couple of the other streaming options.
We had a last minute failure of a dog sitter, and they were able to accommodate us in the carriage house which was much appreciated.
There was plenty of dishware for our group of six adults and seven children.

This is a beautiful, large property offering individual privacy in a large home and a separate carriage house that allows dogs. We rented the home for our daughter's wedding weekend. There are 2 masters that comfortably accommodated our officiant and his wife and my husband and myself. The lower level has 3 very comfortable bedrooms with various bed sizes and a sitting area. Our daughter and her dogs resided in the carriage house then joined by her husband on their wedding night which afforded them complete privacy.
We had everything we needed equipment wise in the kitchen to prepare and serve full meals to many people. The large table also accommodated sorting through and organizing our decor for the wedding venue. A huge plus!
Sandy was immediately responsive to all my inquiries and even permitted me to preview the home in advance of the rental when I was in town for wedding planning. Overall, a great experience in this beautiful, serene area in the Galena Territory!
