This property is a gem, the best we have ever stayed in! The expansive mountain view took our breath away. The space for large families is unparalleled. We loved the movie room, fire pit, 2 kitchens, and game room! We will be back. Thank you Janet for your hospitality!

This property has some wonderful characteristics, however, is in need of an update. The space is amazing and the overall appearance is clean, but there were some instances where we had issues. One bathroom had a clogged sink the entire time we were there. There was a musty smell in a few bedrooms. One bedroom had curtains that were falling off of the rod and eventually did fall down entirely. Just little things that could improve the overall experience of staying in the home. But, overall, the amount of space and the “toys” in the home with ping pong, billiards, etc. were a nice addition.

We had a wonderful weekend and Janet was a fabulous host. Thank you!!

We had 16 golfers stay here for 3 nights. First impression when you arrive is jaw-dropping, especially the big party room. Plenty of space and leisure activities, if you can figure out how they work (e.g. sound system, arcade games). Some of the appliances are past their sell-by date. Overall a great stay, experience and highly recommended.

6 couples, college friends of 50 years. We travel together every year and this house was our favorite.

What a spectacular house and view! You will be amazed!!! I loved the enormous game room, and so did my teenagers and other adults! All of the little touches were so nice, like a bowl of candy in every bedroom, robes, and slippers. The hostess was super nice and attentive. I would rent this house over and over again!

This was a most unique home. It accommodates a large group. The best thing about it is the large gathering space off the main house and the magnificent view. A bit outdated and stove in main kitchen was problematic. There was a bit of a musty smell in bedroom locations that caused some allergy flareups. You should bring your own fry/sautee' pans.

Plenty of space for a large family & friends gathering. Views are breathtaking & well managed property. Close to Highlands but access (roads) & driveway are mildly challenging.

The views were stunning and the house was large enough for the 12 of us. The neighborhood was a good 10 minute drive out of town. The house was nice but definitely could use some updating for the price they are charging.

The views from the home are gorgeous, and it is hard to beat this property for family gatherings. We have 16 people in our extended family group, and we appreciate the fact that this house provides ample bedrooms, bathrooms, and dining space! Janet is great to work with. We have returned multiple times.

I highly recommend this house! It was perfectly located near awesome waterfalls and hiking. The house is perfect for all age ranges. The game room was a hit every night, and I honestly think it was the most perfect home for any large group. Highly recommend!

We had stayed at the Chateau previously with 12 friends and had such a good time! This time we had 16 family members ages 2 - 68. It was so much fun for adults and kids alike and plenty of room! The view is spectacular, the game room was in constant use, the house is well-equipped with anything you could possibly need. It really is the perfect place for a large group of family or friends! It will amaze you!

This property has beautiful views and is very comfortable.

It is impossible for any camera to capture the immense beauty offered at the Chateau. You just have to book it to see for yourself. My husband and I rented the Chateau for a long weekend as both our wedding venue and lodging for ourselves and our friends. It was the best weekend of our lives! First of all - Janet the concierge is incredible and was so kind and helpful throughout the months leading up to our stay. She is communicative and thoughtful and we are so grateful! There is much to rave over for this property but I will limit myself to 1. The view - you will not find a better view in highlands of Whiteside mountain. It is incredible to see the rock face in the morning and then look back to the Chateau as you hike the trail in the afternoon. 2. The rooms - there isn’t a “bad” room in the entire house. Each room has its own bathroom and all but one of the rooms has a king sized bed. This is crucial when traveling with a big group 3. The games! - are all just so fun. We loved playing ping pong while watching a storm blow in; watching movies in the awesome theater every evening; and playing tunes on the jukebox We can’t wait to go back again!

The Chateau exceeded our expectations in every way! Our family of ten went to Highlands to celebrate our Dad’s upcoming birthday and we wanted a house that would comfortable fit all of us, with a mountain view, while still being close to town. The Chateau met all of these requirements and more. Janet was absolutely wonderful to work with! She was responsive before, during and after our trip, and she greeted us at the house with a lovely arrangement of flowers, cheese and cake. It was such a nice touch! She gave us a tour of the house and we all agreed that the pictures did not do it justice. The house has the most stunning mountain views while still being close to downtown highlands (ten min drive). Each couple had their own bedroom and private bathroom, which each had its own coffee maker, waters and treats. The game room was our favorite part of the house! We played pool, ping pong and poker while enjoying the fireplace and Mountain Views. Janet even put us in touch with a wonderful chef who came to the house our last night. Overall, it was the best VRBO experience I have had. We can’t wait to come back next year!

We had the absolute best time at the Chateau! It’s location is incredible, as are the views. Janet was so easy to work with. Would recommend to any group who wants space to spread out but a central location to gather.

This was our first trip to Highlands. We enjoyed our time there. . There was plenty to do to keep us entertained. This is a very large house with plenty of room. We have 17 in our family adults and children. The kids loved watching movies in the large movie room. Janet the concierge was at the home when we arrived to show us around the house. She was a pleasure to work with. We are all looking forward to our next trip to the Chateau in Highlands.

This is our second time staying at this property. The views are stunning and perfect during the sunrise. The house is very comfortable for large family.

The house is perfect for a large group. We got 18 very comfortably. The common space is so perfect for everyone to gather and enjoy large dinners. Close to downtown and house manager is very helpful and responsive!

Our families thoroughly enjoyed our time over the NYE long weekend. Even though it rained for some of our stay, the kids were able to keep themselves entertained while adults were able to visit and recharge. Just the space we needed.

Everyone enjoyed the Chateau immensely. The playroom with all the potential activities plus second kitchen and eating area went over quite well. Also the movie room. Not complaining but it would have been nice if the jukebox would have worked. Haven’t heard Fats Domino in a long time.

This property is AWESOME! Even the wonderful pictures don't do the view justice. The home is so fun with the game room and movie theater. We found ourselves not wanting to leave the house during our stay. Janet was a terrific host, great communication, and made us feel very welcomed. We WILL be renting this property again soon!

The house and surrounding area is incredible. The views are breathtaking! What a pleasure to see the sun rise over the mountains in the morning. There were 17 of us that stayed at the home for a wedding. Everybody is still talking about the great time they had. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom! The cabin was amazing. We had 18 and we all stayed very comfortable. We loved our vacation so much because we all stayed in the game room while someone was cooking in the extra kitchen. The view is beautiful and the cabin was close to shopping and restaurants.

There is probably no way to accurately describe this amazing property. The views are simply unbelievable — and every single room has them. There was plenty of room for our group of 12 and our only wish was that we could have stayed longer. A big thank you to the amazing concierge, Janet. A few of us were delayed due to traffic (is there always a wreck on I-20?) so it delayed her check in. She had wine, cheese, charcuterie and a cake waiting for us when we got there. There was coffee and bottled water in every room. Every detail was attended to — I’ve really never seen anything like it in a VRBO. We can’t wait to come back.
