Very nice, clean and comfortable home. Nice size yard for all activities. Good selection of outside toys and inside toys and games for all. Nice dock area for boating and good swimming area. It would be nicer with a beach area for kids though, and fire pit by the water, but overall we had a very enjoyable week. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your home.

Old time cottage feel with modern amenities. Wonderful large yard for kids with toys ( for land and water ) and great swimming. Comfort galore and responsive owner. Only thing better would be to own such a place. Thanks for a great stay!

Our family was never bored! The house includes to many toys and we rented a pontoon for 4 days, so we lived on the lake! The house could use updated beds and bedding, but that would not stop us from returning because the location is perfect!

If you like to be with family, this is a wonderful space. Cozy, with lots of bedrooms, a large kitchen, multiple seating areas, this home was perfect for our family. We were able to be completely entertained, without even venturing out much, by the beautiful lake and the sunset view.

The property is even better than then Pictures allow. The “cottage” is large and very comfortable. We had 8 adults and a 5 year old with plenty of space inside and out. The sandy bottom of the blue water gave us plenty of refreshing fun. We rented a boat fro Elk Lake marina which was also hassle free and added to our fun. Dan shares this gem fully; water toys, games and fabulous sunsets. My family came in from California, Ohio and MI, all want to do it again. Thanks again for sharing this treasure.

We could not have picked a better place to enjoy a holiday family vacation! The lot is so large, it allowed for lawn games, relaxing in provided lawn chairs and ample room for our boat rental. The house is fully equipped with everything you will ever need. It is not like most rentals where you have one pan, 8 plates, etc! This house is like home. It had a wonderful Weber gas grill, lots of outdoor seating, and plenty of lawn and water toys! The only thing we were short on were bath towels. We just used the provided beach towels and our own beach towels. The location is perfect. It’s in a very quiet neighborhood so you can go for walks, enjoy a bon fire and never hear traffic. Anyone looking for a spacious house, quiet neighborhood and amazing sunsets should rent this house! It’s truly a gem!

Perfect for a family with young children, and perfect for adults. The wide lot provides a lengthy shoreline from which to watch the sunset. Chairs are provided for adults to enjoy the yard; toys are provided for children to enjoy it. Home is cozy and roomy.

This was the best vacation home we’ve rented in many years of rentals. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cookware, utensils, dishes, and appliances. The house had plenty of seating inside and outside. The water toys were an added bonus that we took advantage of in addition to bringing our own. The location of the house was perfect for heading out for day trips. The washer, dryer and dishwasher were much appreciated. The supply of beach towels was perfect for our group and we appreciated not having to pack them. Also, having air conditioning was a huge bonus as it was hot and humid during our stay. This house was more like a home and we hope to return again next year!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Elk Lake home. There were 8 adults and 2 kids and everyone was very comfortable. The shed full of lake toys was a huge bonus, as was the view and crystal clear water right out our back door. We would recommend this house to anyone.

From the spacious and comfortable accommodations to the wealth of activities lakeside and lawnside to the beautiful sunsets, sandy beaches and clean lake water, our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful Elk Lake home. The home's interior offered plenty of room for all to have separate space as well as combined family fun. The yard was great for lawn games and lake viewing, and the lake itself was perfect for our 5 and 6 year old grandchildren to swim in shallow depths with sandy bottoms. We brought our boat and had a lot of fun with water sports.The proximity to Elk Rapids and Traverse City was also a "plus". Bottom line, a great time was had by all.

Having visited Elk Lake many times over the years, we had high expectations when we rented. Every expectation was met and then some. Not only was the home clean and spacious, but the view is unsurpassed. Two hundred feet of beautiful frontage and crystal clear water. We were very pleased with every aspect of our stay.
