Inviting Cottage with Elk Lake Access
Vous cherchez une maison accueillante avec accès privé au lac Elk? Ça y est!! La maison du nord du Michigan est située à 3, 7 km d'Elk Rapids, à 8 km de Williamsburg et à 16,2 km de Traverse City.
La maison a été rénovée de fond en comble avec tous les nouveaux meubles, appareils ménagers et placards garnis de vaisselle et d'appareils de cuisson. Le charme original des fondations en pierre aux murs en bois de la grange et aux planchers en bois d'origine aide à créer un lieu de détente et de création de souvenirs. C'est la taille idéale pour 4 personnes avec environ 1263 pieds carrés d'espace de vie et une terrasse / patio de 266 pieds carrés.
Il y a une chambre avec 2 lits jumeaux, 1 chambre avec un lit queen et 1 salle de bain. Il y a aussi une buanderie avec laveuse et sécheuse. La cuisine est équipée d'une cuisinière, d'un réfrigérateur, d'un four micro-ondes, d'une cafetière Keurig, d'un grille-pain, de vaisselle, de verrerie, d'argenterie, de casseroles et poêles. L'îlot de cuisine mobile est pourvu de tout le nécessaire pour cuire si vous le souhaitez. Il y a deux options de restauration, une dans la maison à une table avec six places assises et une autre sur le pont avec quatre places. Si vous voulez faire un barbecue, il y a un barbecue sur la terrasse.
Le salon comprend une télévision fixée au mur de 50 pouces, un canapé, une causeuse, une table basse et deux tables basses centrées autour d'un tapis de bonne humeur.

Very cozy cottage surrounded my fruit trees and a short walking path to Elk Lake. My kids had a blast swimming and playing here! Overall, a wonderful property with extremely gracious hosts.

This property is in a great location with easy driving distance to Elk Rapids, Traverse City, restaurants and shopping. The cabin was clean, airy, spacious and full of light. The furnishings and decor were lovely and comfortable. It was well stocked with everything needed for cooking, baking and serving meals. I found my time spent there quiet and peaceful and enjoyed the beauty and access to Elk Lake. Barb and Dennis were kind and gracious hosts quickly responding to any requests. Putting it quite simply, I’m so looking forward to a return visit next year - one of my best vacations.

Loved our stay here over the 4th of July. Cottage is located close to everything we wanted to do (Traverse city, torch lake, elk rapids). Very clean. Fully stocked kitchen. Big field in front of the house was great for kids to play. The lake access is nice, bottom is rocky so suggest water shoes. Host was super nice and even brought us a bucket of fresh cherries from the orchard behind the house. Will definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at Barb’s home. It started with easy clear communication on the check in process, and we were greeted with snacks and fresh cherries upon arrival. The house is CLEAN, which is a rarity these days and so appreciated. Kitchen is fully stocked, fresh bath and beach towels. Thanks for having us!

The Cottage is very clean with a lake view and lake access. Sitting on the deck while looking at the lake and listening to the wind rustling through the leaves was so serene and relaxing. The Cottage is within minutes of a short car drive to both Elk Rapids and Traverse City for sight seeing trips, shopping or dining out. Enjoyable place to stay. Thank you.

Very clean cottage in a nice quiet area. Barb and Dennis are great hosts. We had plenty of room to park our boat and trailer. Elk Rapids is 3 miles away and has a nice beach which is near the main street with restaurants/shops and marina with food/drinks and a large lawn with corn hole and games for kids. We look forward to visiting again!

Being from Northern Michigan I cannot say enough about this property. The lovely, very clean, renovated farmhouse tucked between orchards & Elk Lake had everything our family of 4 needed to enjoy the beauty & tranquility of the area. Coffee on the deck with a view of the lake, or a few steps to lounge with your toes in the water. Ten minutes to quaint downtown Elk Rapids, half hour to Traverse City, the location is fantastic!!! Fifteen minutes to DNR boat launch on Lake Skegemog. A great jumping off point to explore. Barb & Dennis were readily available, attentive and thoughtful! Snacks, coffee pods and fresh peaches (YUM), the little things:). Truly a peaceful peachy gem❤️

Ten of us ladies turning 60 years old and spending the weekend together. Perfect location, quiet setting with a beautiful view of Elk Lake. We were able to explore both Elk Lake and Torch Lake. Enjoyed shopping both Elk Rapids and Traverse City.

Barbara & Dennis cottage is part of history. Situated on the edge of 1800 Cherry farm with direct view of your Elk Lake access. They have provided everything you could need. Next year I will be back.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at this perfect cottage! It was beautifully updated with plenty of space for us all! The private access to Elk Lake made it possible for us to put our kayaks in with ease whenever we wanted. This cottage was one of the cleanest places we have every stayed with comfortable beds and we were in want of nothing. Every need was met. Barbara was quick with any communication and provided a personal touch. We especially enjoyed the delicious cherries upon arrival! Thank you, Barbara, for one our most delightful stays in one of our favorite spots Up North!

The Grey Cottage was the perfect getaway for our family of 4. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing lake vacation. The lake access is ideal for swimming, skipping rocks and enjoying a beautiful sunrise. The property is beautiful in every direction (water, woods, cherry orchards), and the location is ideal to explore the surrounding lakes and towns. We were lucky enough to be there during Harbor Days in Elk Rapids which was a fun surprise, especially for our daughters. Lastly, Barb was a wonderful hostess. She was warm, welcoming, and made some wonderful recommendations of things to do while we were in town. Thank you for a wonderful stay and, of course, the cherries! We’ll definitely be back.

Lake Living
This cottage was beautiful - inside and out. Located with the owner's cherry orchard just past the 'front yard' and a short walk to Elk Lake from the 'back yard'. The cottage is in an extremely quiet area but centrally located to get to interesting attractions and restaurants within 20-30 min (Traverse City, Elk Rapids, Kalkaska, and Charlevoix). Inside, the property has everything you need for supplies - of course, you need to fill up the fridge on your own! Yet, the owner even provides a basket of 'welcome' snacks.
The owner communicated with us in a very responsive manner; we even had a chance to meet with her on a couple of occasions to have nice conversations.
The house was perfect for my family of four, although the upstairs was a little short for my tall (5 foot 10 in and taller) kids. The one bathroom was fine, just required a little coordination with the family members.
Will definitely keep this property in mind for future trips to the area.

The cottage was perfect,…very relaxing and quiet, nestled between a lake view and fields of cherry trees. Elk Rapids only 5 minutes north and wine tasting, in the TC area, only 10 minutes to the south. My only con …..with 3 ladies in the cottage a second mirror would have been helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Beautifully Renovated Peaceful Cabin
We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The owners did a beautiful job with the renovation of this cabin. It’s tastefully decorated , clean and has beautiful views of the lake. The check in process was very easy and Barbara was very nice and fast with communication. We would love to stay here again next year!

Elk Lake
The house is in a great spot near Elk Lake, a short drive to Elk Rapids and close to many orchards on the East side of Elk Lake. House was updated and clean. The room with the twin beds is not actually a bedroom, it is more of a converted attic and does not have a door. The main bedroom and bathroom both have sliding doors which do not lock, this was difficult to manage with our toddlers. The house overall is great, just not great for mobile infants/toddlers.

We stayed here for one last, quick, summer getaway. Barb was a welcoming hostess and very knowledgeable about the area. The property was very clean, well-stocked with needed amenities, private, and more spacious than advertised. We had a great time and will definitely be back!
