We took a small weekend trip here, and it was a pretty good experience for just the weekend! However, the parking pass situation needs to be clearer, as we didn't receive one until the next day because it was not left on our counter as we were directed. The washer/dryer needs to be fixed, as well as the ice machines. If you are just staying for a couple days like we were, this stuff isn't much of a big deal! However, if you're staying for longer then I would recommend somewhere with better help services, clearer instructions, and more reliable amenities.

I stayed at Pirates Bay in FT. Walton beach for one week. (Jun 24-July 1st)The first day we get there I realize the fridge is not working at all and the sheets/ pillow cases/ bedding smelled like it had not been cleaned. So I decided I could clean the sheets myself so I did. The fridge being broke was out of my control though so I called the maintenance number and the lady said she would write a maintenance ticket and they would fix it. 3 days go by nobody showed up to look or fix the fridge. I call vacasa this time and the lady says they will send someone out. Two more days go by I call Vrbo and have a rep speak with a lady from Vacasa and she says they will get someone out there and she will call me back about reimbursement. Finally on the afternoon before we leave there is a different fridge plugged in in-front of the old one. (I am not happy or pleased). A day goes by and I’m finally back home and I call Vacasa to ask about the status of the reimbursement and I am told they will give me $25 a day for everyday the fridge was out.( I lost several hundred dollars worth of food between the groceries and leftovers I had to throw out everyday) So I was not pleased and asked for an explanation for that number and I was told AGAIN I would get a call back. Guess what? I never got a call back so I called today and was told the ticket is closed and I will not be reimbursed! Wow this whole experience has been awful, get a hotel or anywhere other than a Vacasa managed property.

Check in process was excellent. Unit was as described. Enjoyed the stay and our time there. The only issue we really had was with whom ever was staying in the unit above us. It sounded like they were constantly moving furniture around.

Room was fine just customer service leading up to the stay was terrible... Brought my boat was suppose to have boat slip was sent a message to fill form out to get the boat slip would been additional $7-$8 which was no big deal but never received the form... After reaching out numerous times prior to arrival with no response sent another message after arriving and was answered maybe 24hrs later I had no slip for my boat so we had to pull boat out of water each day and pay to park elsewhere... If I had of been told from start I would not have boat slip per the advertisement I would have booked elsewhere... Two of my friends stayed same place same days and got slip for their boats... Room was fine though...

Young Children? This is for you!
We 100% loved the room & the entire condominium. We always stay on the beach but chose the bay this year & super thankful we did. This room is literally 30ft from the HUGE beautiful pool which is gated & lit up at night. The room was perfect for myself & 3 children. There was clean linen for the couch bed, wasn’t sure if there would be. We spent 4-5 hours on the beach, came back for lunch then swam until dinner time. The docks & boats were beautiful to see. There’s a beach area across the docks that’s a lot of fun, kids can crab hunt. We left our sand toys there in the wooden box, we had way too many. You’ll love this unit, We will definitely be back!

I've recently stayed there with my three sons for our family vacation. The condo was exactly what was pictured on the site, no surprises. It was clean, nice, and was just a few steps to the pool. The location is perfect with access to nearby beaches and eateries. We would love to stay there again.

The location and accommodations were great. The sofa bed was not comfortable, but how many really are! The only issue I had was that the wood look tile floors were not clean. My grandchildren’s feet were black on the bottom. I’m sure they floors were swept, but never mopped.

It was a nice area to stay in because it was so close to all the attractions. Checking in and out and getting into the unit was simple and straight forward which was nice.
Upon arrival, my first impression was that it was a nice cozy place for the price we paid. All furniture was up to date and modern. It had all the basic things you would need in a kitchen. I was very disappointed in the unit just because it did not give me a overall clean feeling. Under the bed, sofa, dressers, and table if you looked under it was filled with dust. The comforter that was placed on the bed did not smell or feel clean either. I wish whoever cleaned it before we checked in would have been more detailed about cleaning the unit better. I have a baby who crawled around and within a short amount of time, his onsie would have dirt and dust on it.
It's a decent place to stay for the area for the price. Just wished it was cleaner.
