We enjoyed our 2 night stay. Mountain Top Resort is only 4 miles away (attended wedding there). We found the house as advertised - plenty of space for 6 adults. The tv room is full of history books. Big back yard to explore & view from the porch was beautiful.

Quiet well-preserved farmhouse conveniently located for exploring central Vermont. Beautiful view of the mountains from the porch. About a half hour from Killington and Okemo ski resorts. Close to several parks with lakes for swimming. Property owner is pleasant and very responsive.

We were in town for a wedding at Mountain Top and this house was wonderful for our crew of 4 adults and 3 kiddos ages 2-6. Wish we had more downtime to enjoy a drink on the western porch!

We loved the house and property, perfect for our size of family. We enjoyed walking around in the back and front yard and playing games on the grass. The view is beautiful.

Everything went smoothly with the whole process. We enjoyed the living room for a comfortable space for our group to meet, the sleeping accommodations worked and we had what we needed for eating. We would be happy to come back again!

This was the ideal place for us to drive towards the eclipse, and yet not be right there where we would have to pay exorbitant prices. The farmhouse was spacious and comfortable. The place sleeps 8, but the 5 of us were very happy all having our own beds.
The hostess, Mary, was responsive to my phone calls, giving me much info needed for the area.
A beautiful location. I would highly recommend this place.

This is a beautiful old house with up to date amenities. The views are beautiful and it's out of the way enough to be quiet, but a short drive to stores, restaurants and entertainment.

Pretty views and traditional country farmhouse that is private but still very close to skiing, MountainTop Inn and all the conveniences of downtown Rutland. Spacious rooms and the host is a lovely and very helpful person. Only critiques would be that the master bathroom shower could use an upgrade and the tv-watching couch could be larger.
Overall very lovely property!

Susan was an extremely helpful host and even set up a port-a-crib and had gates secured for my two young grandchildren. My son was getting married only a few miles away from her home and it was so convenient. The home was charming and I highly recommend this accommodation! Thank you for everything, Susan.
Sincerely, Lisa

We stayed during MLK weekend to ski at Killington. The house was perfect for our small group of two families. The kids enjoyed the board games, and we spent a lot of time sitting around the fireplace to relax after our ski sessions. The house was very cozy and Susan was great in providing instructions. Thankfully we didn’t need to contact her for any needs during our stay because everything was set up perfectly. We will definitely look to book this house again when we plan our next visit to Killington.

We were a little early for peak leaf viewing, but t's
hard to time. Got better while we were there. The night sky from the back yard was awesome. As was the view of the valley from the deck.
Close to Rutland and restaurants. About 2 hours from Stowe, shorter to Waterbury (Benn and Jerry's).
Overall a great trip.

Pleasent Times in Pittsford
We had such an incredible time at Susan's home. The home was beautiful and the idyllic surrounding countryside made us feel at ease. There was so much to do in the area and most of our days there were spent hiking and swimming in nearby gorges.
Additionally, Susan provided us with just about everything we needed for our stay. She was attentive and responsive whenever I needed to be in touch with her. She gave us great advice on what to do in the area. She is a brilliant host and I absolutely would consider Vrbo'ing with this house on my next visit to Vermont. Thank you Susan so much!

Beautiful acreage - family farmhouse
We loved the peaceful, beautiful setting of this bib. The views and hiking possibilities are endless. The host was very accommodating and there to answer any questions. Our favorite thing was to sit out on the back porch- so peaceful! Beds were comfortable and everything was there that we needed.

Welcoming house with beautiful views
The farmhouse has spacious airy rooms with just the right numbers of books, dishes, and furniture to make it feel homey without feeling cluttered. The lawns, hedgerows, and meadows surrounding the house were full of sunshine and birdsong when we stayed. The mountain views from the sunset-facing porch were lovely. The house is clean and cozy but because it is 200 years old it has some signs of wear that give it character but might not be to everyone’s taste.

We loved the farm house. It met all of our needs. Slept 8 people comfortably. There was a utility issue but was resolved before we arrived. Would definitely stay again

Beautiful historic farm and house with lots of character
Beautiful views from all windows, very clean house with a lot of room for all five family members. The house is stuffed with everything necessary and beyond for very comfortable stay.
Close to all local points of interest, such as downhill and cross country ski areas. Also, we were pleasantly surprised how large are the farm grounds accessible for walking, snowshoeing, backcountry skiing and sledding. The house is just 10-15 min away from shopping and dining of Rutland, while Killington area is only 20min away.
Our special interest was cross country skiing for the whole family at beautiful Mountain Top Inn/Ski Center (just 8 min away from the house). Susan also proactively suggested other great areas and points of interest, which are equally appealing to both kids and adults.
Susan is extremely helpful and very forthcoming about all the amenities and really useful tips on how to make our stay there fun and unforgettable!
We will heartily recommend this great place to anyone who is interested and explore wonderful Green Mountains of Vermont.

Quintessential Vermont Farmhouse
Susan's farmhouse was a perfect place to celebrate the New Year with our family. The house was clean and had everything we needed including a fireplace. We skied at Killington a couple of days and it was only at 15 minute drive, so convenient! Susan was an excellent communicator and we hope to return someday!

Ideal Vermont Farmhouse
This house was exactly what we were looking for in a Vermont vacation. Beautiful views in every direction! The house was so cozy and inviting. The snow was the crowning touch for our stay along with a crackling fire in the fireplace. We definitely hope to return in the near future. Thanks for everything Susan! You gave us the perfect 30th Anniversary trip which will be in our memories forever!

Great old farmhouse for Vermont trip
Beautiful old farmhouse on the grounds of a working farm, with apple orchard in the back and horses grazing across the street. House has a lot of character and photo appeal and a great working fireplace. The caretaker showed us some local trails to really see the autumn colors, and also recommended a great place downtown for sandwiches and other needs.

Gasp at that amazing mountainous view!
A good old fashioned farm house. Everything you could possibly need is there. The porches, grounds and views are amazing. It’s an old farmhouse and you’ll have a GOOD oldfashioned time staying in it. Linens were great, the king bed was very comfy and we loved the kitchen and porches! There is a “TO DIE FOR” view just up the road that we almost missed until Susan told us how to get there. Short walk and worth every step! She’s a generous host. Will hopefully return

Lovely old farmhouse with wonderful views.
Susan was a very attentive host. She called us on the morning of our arrival to check our arrival time and to communicate check in procedure. (I think she was a little nervous about us being from Texas with children below vaccination age) but it wasn’t a problem.
The house is an old farmhouse on a nice property and lovely views. Nothing fancy, but very comfortable, quaint and pleasant.

Peaceful and quiet
We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful farmhouse. They property is huge and private, we really enjoyed the covered pourch in the back. We even had deer in the yard a few times. Check-in was easy, Susan was there when we arrived and gave us a tour of the property. I am very glad we chose this location for our vacation.

Farmhouse
The owner was very nice and easy to work with. Definitely an old farmhouse but it was nice. The only complaint was the trash system which is complicated (Vermont rules) and the refrigerator is rather off putting due to its age.

Amazing setting!
The quintessential Vermont farm and farmhouse. The property itself is spectacular, open fields, hiking paths and a pond for fishing. We were in VT for a reunion so had a lot of time commitments away from the house, but we could have easily just stayed there and the boys (7,7 and 8) would have been totally entertained! The host was great, taking time to tell us (and the boys with loads of questions) all about the history and layout of the property, when I had mentioned that we may want to go for a hike she actually even went and cleared a part of a path it was a bit over ground for us. We all look forward to going back again!
