Wisdom House Built 1878, In The Heart Of Downtown Baker City Historic District
L'escapade parfaite dans cette maison historique restaurée. La Maison de la Sagesse est la plus ancienne maison à Baker City, is 1878. Il est dans le cœur du quartier historique Downtown juste à distance de marche des commerces, des restaurants, des musées, des parcs et bien plus encore. Cette maison historique dispose de 4 chambres (2 avec lits queen et un roi); 2 canapés-lits (Queen et Full), concept ouvert au 3ème étage avec 4 lits simples, 2 salles de bain, grande salle à manger et, coin repas pour le petit-déjeuner et loft de la cuisine. Il y a de la place pour 2 matelas Queen Quality Air au troisième étage pour un total de 17 invités. Les chambres du 2ème étage à l'étage s'ouvrent sur un balcon donnant sur le centre-ville de Baker City. Veronica was/is amazing taking care of us/everything. She was/is super easy to communicate with even when you have issues with VRBO. She reached out to VRBO to give me a call to help me. Thank you Veronica for everything! Enjoyed all the local paintings and products for sale. Even purchased some. Read the book you had in the parlor about the house. Good read. Everything is within walking distance. We would stay here again. Our friends are considering this place for their family gatherings in near future. Enjoyed Baker City! Everyone so friendly and helpful. Thanks again.

Our family felt very welcomed by Veronica and our stay in the house was just what we needed for the holiday season. Perfect location to all things in town. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we might have needed. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

We had a great time! The location is perfect for walking to downtown shops and eateries. The weather was lovely allowing us to enjoy relaxing conversation in the large well maintained yard and patio. Beds and linens were excellent and the kitchen was well stocked.
We were surprised by the television that just came on suddenly (twice a day). We couldn't find a timer setting on it, so we simply turned it off and had a good laugh. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was clean and just as promised, it was an historic adventure. We did have a little trouble getting in when we arrived, as there were issues with the doors working properly. the owner was quick to rectify the problem and the rest of our stay was excellent.

Yes to the Wisdom House for everyone who has the opportunity to stay! AND the Baker City community hails the refurbishing of this beautiful home. Saving history is vital to thriving cities. Baker is full of stories, beautiful old buildings and wonderful small shops and eateries. You owe yourself a visit! PS. Veronica goes out of her way to make your stay just right! She is highly respected in her small community as well.

The overall experience was very good. The house has so much character. We all loved it. The house needed to have housekeeping make a quick walk through before we arrived. The grounds were very well kept.

The only issue was the house was infested with 100’s of flies (both dead and alive) and other bugs. Maybe it had something to do with the time of year but the bugs were a bit much.

We loved the house snd it’s location near downtown. Sitting on the garden in the rvrningsyand enjoying ourselves was special. We are trying to another trip so we can stay again.

We had a most lovely stay here with all the amenities we needed. The owners are wonderful and very responsive and they made our stay memorable. I celebrated my birthday here with our family, cooked scrumptious breakfasts and dinners in the fully appointed kitchen. We cannot wait to return!

Just looking for a nice place to stay:- Very clean!- Best-equipped kitchen I've ever encountered at a rental house - sharp knives, wide variety of pots and pans, stand mixer, blender, etc.- Good ice maker on the fridge, tastes fresh and clean- Backyard is just as pictured and so lovely- Comfortable beds- Lots of space to spread out, but rooms still feel intimate and cozy- Within easy walking distance of cute shops and restaurantsAlso interested in history:- The house's history is well-documented and available in a cool booklet onsite - and don't miss the guest book entry of descendants who stayed there a few years ago - Within easy walking distance of many well-preserved, interesting houses and buildings; walking map available at the house
