We had a fantastic stay. The condo is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The grounds are lovely. The pool is huge and deep. The deep end is 10 feet deep. The beach is wonderful. The one drawback is that its a bit rocky. We loved the amenities, they had all the dishes you could ask for, and even had spices and a few little extra early trip comforts.

Great place to relax and unwind. Took our family of five (three kids). We all loved it, and would definitely consider going back. Great communication from the owners leading up to, and during the week (when needed). Very clean and updated unit.

We were a group of 27 traveling in from multiple states. Although many of us had travel issues, once we arrived we had an amazing time! Having our own “home bases” but also having the pool, beach, and shack for food and drinks, (and just a group gathering spot) was so convenient. Patrick’s condo C-6 was more than we needed for my husband and I and our 2 adult kids. Patrick was very responsive and helpful prior to our trip and an amazing host! We will definitely be back!

The place was perfect for our family vacation! The property had everything we needed; pool, beach, bar with food (open in the afternoon), and a beautiful, clean, comfortable spacious condo for the 6 of us, all at a very reasonable price. It's located conveniently between the two towns, near tourist attractions and many nice beaches (Cane Bay is a MUST! Great beach with restaurant/bar across the street, awesome snorkeling off the beach and many turtles just hanging out in the crystal clear water. Both kids and adults loved it). The owners/hosts are incredible! They've though of every detail and go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. I've stayed in many VRBO's, and this was by far the best for many reasons. Prior to arrival, Patrick sent us a packet of information with places to eat and recommended things to do so we could plan ahead. He was very responsive to text messages if we had any questions. On arrival they had cold water, beer/wine, a "pay it forward" bar waiting for us in addition to many incidentals for the full stay like toilet paper, sunscreen, paper towels, soap, spices, some beach supplies, etc. It wasn't just the standard single starter roll of TP or paper towels, rather they stocked us for the full week! This was super convenient as we arrived late and didn't have to run to the store right away. Note; groceries and food are very expensive on the island. I can't say enough good things about this place and the owners. We will definitely be back there

We enjoyed our stay at this quiet, secluded, beachside condo. Everything was as promised and Hy was attentive to our needs. If you are looking for a place away from the crowds of most all inclusives, you will love Gentle Winds.

Our party of 6 had an amazing stay. Everything was just as described. Fully stocked and equipped! Plenty of room for everyone. The grounds were well kept and the pool and beach areas were perfect. Nick was amazing at the beach bar and the food was some of best we had. Patrick was super quick to respond with helpful tips and any questions we had and Hyacinth checked in on us regularly. Will definitely be back!

My wife has been involved in the traveled industry for over 25 years and hands down one of the best experiences and customer service ever shown. We usually stay at houses so we were a bit skeptical but it exceeded our expectations. Gorgeous setting, excellent snorkeling and wonderful service from Nick at the Shady Shack on the grounds.

DEFINITELY stay here if you are traveling to St Croix. The condo is located RIGHT on a beautiful beach (aren’t they all though in St Croix?) and the condo itself is spacious, clean and well stocked with toiletries, towels, food and beverages (honor system!!! Please restock for the next guests) and oh my goodness the view from the condo is simply breathtaking. But the main reason to stay here is because Patrick, the owner, is simply one of the best vacation rental hosts we’ve stayed with - and we’ve stayed at over 20+ rentals over the years. He genuinely cares about his guest’s satisfaction and his lines of communication are open throughout the entire stay. Whether you need to rent a car (you do!!!) or need restaurant recommendations, he will help you all the way. We had a bit of a travel snafu a few days before our scheduled flight, but Patrick worked with us and helped up turn what was a nightmare into a minor inconvenience. Not too many hosts can or will do that for renters these days! We were so pleased with our stay and will definitely stay with Patrick again when we come back to St Croix! Ps - a few suggestions for future guests: bring eye masks bc the rental gets a lot of sun ☀️ also consider bringing your own snorkels/masks because we had to rent one about 20 minutes away and they were only OK and pricey. Restaurants are a bit spread out on St Croix so buy lots of snacks for kids to ride them over between meals! Overall a great stay - stop searching and book with Patrick asap!!!

After booking, we received confirmation of reservation via email. We received a few emails before we left by the Owner, Patrick or Julie (staff of Patrick), to give us some tips and local things to do and places to visit and eat, along with directions to the condo from the airport. We arrived on a Monday afternoon, picked up our rental Jeep and headed to the condo. We were very happy when we arrived at the condo (C-6). The unit was very clean, gleaming with sunshine throughout, which was extremely welcoming. The unit has 3 bedrooms with a King sized bed in the downstairs main bedroom and Queen beds in the other two rooms and a bonus 4th Queen bed in the loft which made our 3 daughters very happy that no one had to share a bed. The 3 bathrooms had a few towels and all in the sinks, showers and toilets were clean and in good working order. The condo was very clean and felt like a home away from home. Just more beachy and relaxing! We were extremely surprised about the honor system the unit had on a few items… liquor, paper goods, condiments and laundry products. We used the larger beach towels the condo provided all week, washing them in the unit and rotating through the towels to always have a fresh clean towel ready. We cooked several times using the vast kitchen utensils and pots/pans. There was a dishwasher, however we chose to hand wash after each meal. We used the AC during the evenings to ensure a comfortable sleep for everyone, however, we treated the condo like home and turned the AC up during days we were away at a beach or exploring the island to save on the owner’s expenses. The view is beautiful and overlooks the huge community pool, the ocean view filled with palm trees on the beach and common areas, which sets an amazing picturesque vacation dream view to wake up to or enjoy the sunset. We swam in the very large pool most nights to wind down from all the site seeing and beach visits. Hyacinth, the local housekeeper and I assume is the on-site daily operations contact person, called us the morning after we arrived at the condo to check on our flight and to see if we needed anything. Hyacinth also followed up with us on the Sunday morning we were leaving to make sure we had a good stay and let us know she would be by after 11 to clean.

Honestly I thought I was a strictly hotel girl but this was the best home away from home experience I’ve had. The condo was very clean, had everything we needed, and the hosts were incredibly generous. I usually travel intergenerationally so I needed something that was appropriate for all ages. We are already planning a trip back for next year and hope to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Patrick’s condo and loved all the amenities it offered. We were a group of five with two kids and loved the pool, beach chairs and shade and tennis courts. The condo is about 20 minutes from Christiansted so a rental car I think is a must if you want freedom to explore the island. The condo had everything we needed to cook and a gas grill by the beach. The area is quiet and very relaxing at the end of the day exploring. Patrick was very easy to communicate with and had good suggestions for things to do on St Croix and the house keeper checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed, which was nice. I would suggest this place for those with families and as a great quiet place to relax. For those traveling with kids we did the Buck Island tour with Big Beards tours who were amazing, loved Rainbow Beach, Monks Baths tide pool, snorkeling off the Pier and Shoys beach.

The property is well appointed and met every expectation. I really miss waking up to rolling waves and swaying palm trees just steps away. I hope to do it again soon.

Causal and comfortable property with outstanding outdoor amenities.

I owned property in usvi for years i stayed in many units and very familiar with the condos and real estate community... Very nice unit; everything you need for a family.. Large unit with all the needed amenities... 1 day and you feel like home... Very nice clean and friendly community large pool clean beach bar b q’s, taco night simply perfect... The owner Patrick is a 5 star host a simple text and boom it’s answered or it’s done... Loved the stay it’s nothing like rolling over from your bed and seeing the ocean and pool... Full unobstructed views of pool ocean and beach from tge unit... Our family was reminded why we feel in love with saint croix 15 years ago.. The best feature of travel is the living accommodations... First unit i ever seen in the carribean with whole house central air unit... In one word; PERFECT.....

The condo was spacious, neat and clean; and the view from the main room was spectacular! Just a short walk to get to the beach and they have a pool onsite as well. That said, biggest shout-out needs to go to our host, Patrick. We had a bit of a disappointing fail with the property we originally booked for the week; we looked and found this property, messaged Patrick and he got back to us right away. The condo was prepared and ready for us the next day and he even allowed us to check in early. It was a very last minute request and he accommodated us regardless. I would highly recommend this property to others visiting the island!

Nothing like waking up to birds chirping, coffee brewing, throwing on your swimsuit and flip flops and diving into the pool or snorkeling in the ocean to start your day! Have a beach burger and a cold beverage by the pool at the Beach Shack, topped off by an after noon of hermit crab races, ping pong, cornhole, and pool games.

Our stay at Gentle Winds C-6 was very, very relaxing. The condo was super clean and comfortably furnished. I could tell that the bathrooms had been recently updated and the furniture was fresh and looked nearly new. Conveniently located on the North Shore we were close to everything! I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking for a laid back vacation.
