The hosts were helpful and welcoming. The house was well appointed. The location is fabulous. The sunsets over the river are amazing as is the view of the trees and fields. It is impossible not to relax.

Spectacular sunsets enjoyed from a spacious deck were a highlight of this large, well-equipped home. Great location with easy access to beach and village amenities. Chris and Laure were excellent hosts!

This property is great for multi age families. Our family shared the main floor but we had top and lower level sleeping areas that worked out nice. The yard is wonderful and spacious especially when little ones need to play off energy. Its a very quiet neighborhood and centrally located.

The house is just as advertised and the view is amazing. Kayaking and paddleboarding out to the island in the river was a highlight for the teens. Worth renting a SUP or kayak from Osprey for the week. Would definitely stay again.

Westport is always a place for us to go and rest and be restored. This was the first time we stayed at this property and hope we will be able to make this our go to place every year.

This is a comfortable quiet house that makes you feel at home the minute you walk in. Living-dining areas open and airy and perfect for hanging out. Drawback for my self and 3 friends was that only one twin bedroom is located on main floor. Master is up one flight and 3 beds are in a finished basement area which is damp and chilly. A working humidifier runs constantly and must be emptied 3 times per day. Both bathrooms are only accessible via stairs including one basement stair which is quite steep. We were 4 ladies in our 70’s so this feature was not the best. If you are in this age group and are not comfortable with stairs then this house is not for you. Otherwise it was a lovely stay and a welcome retreat from the pace of NYC.

This spacious house is bright, open and with wonderful views up and down the Westport River. We appreciated the extra sitting areas as well as the sunny deck and covered screen porch. This location was perfect for my husband and grown children since we were visiting with extended family nearby. A beautiful spot.

Property was perfect for what we needed it for. We had friends who have a house on the ocean so we were mainly at this house at night for dinners and sleeping. Nice area to bring bikes and ride down to the beach. We enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful moon rise over fields, millions of stars. Stunning sunsets over river. Very well equipped house. Comfortable. I recommend the pull out sofa to wake up to the best river views.

Can’t say enough about the tantalizing views of Westport River from the comforts of this cozy home! There was ample space to spread out or gather. The house was well-kept and amply supplied. Chris welcomed us warmly and responded promptly to our questions. Commune with nature in the surrounding beaches and trails. Enjoyed our week in Westport!

We had a wonderful stay. The deck and porch are lovely. The house is spacious and comfortable. The central air was much appreciated on a couple of humid days, but mostly the breeze from the river was delightful at night. Since it was just the two of us, we were able to leave the downstairs bathroom, that can be accessed through the downstairs screen porch, available for day guests and socially distanced visits. (Hopefully that won’t remain a plus for too much longer.)

This is a very well appointed and maintained "Salt Box" vacation home. . We spent much of the time simply gazing out the living room window or on the porch overlooking the pristine Westport River. We also enjoyed kayaking, fishing and going to the nearby Horseneck Beach. We had a very minor problem which was quickly addressed by Chris or Laure Mulroony the owners so no worries! Highly reccomended!

Beautiful views of sunsets over the Westport River and of the adjacent fields and stone walls. Great for watching the birds in the nearby trees. The house is charming and well-equipped, and convenient to lovely farmlands, Horseneck Beach and the amenities of the town of Westport.

Several wonderful restuarants close by, short ( couple miles) to the beach which stretaches along the dunes a long way. The house has anything you'd need and is also in a good location with quiet friendly neighbors.

This was my 11th year at Islands View Acres which I have thoroughly enjoyed over the years. Beautiful vistas of the river and fields near the house. Easy access to Horseneck Beach and the farms and villages of South Dartmouth. Great place for biking. Enjoy!

House is comfortable and clean. Very original which means dated in some parts, but in New England, it's typical. We had a wonderful time with our three daughters, ages 14, 11, and 8. Being right on the river offers something for everyone. We brought sailboat and kayaks and spent time fishing and swimming from the islands in the river a short paddle from the neighborhood put in and reading on the deck with view of the boaters. Hosts are responsive and kind good folks.

Enjoyed the great view and quiet, well off the beaten path, location. Good spot to relax and unwind.

The house is very comfortable with beautiful views of the river and in a quiet area of Westport. We were able to kayak, go to the beach (which is pay per day) and visit nearby Fall River and Dartmouth.

Our family had an outstanding week in Westport, staying at this great property. The amenities were fantastic, the owners were great to deal with and we would definitely stay again. I'm from Westport originally, and this property was a great spot for us to stay at with the quiet and beauty of the location. The sunsets are the best I have seen.....right on the Westport river for kayaking, two miles from beautiful Horseneck Beach, 30 mins outside of Newport, and near New Bedford, where you can catch an hour ferry ride to the Vineyard or Nantucket. We have been renting this beautiful 3 story 3 BR 2bR home on the Westport River for over 6 years. Located on a quiet street it is a spacious, clean, comfortable and centrally located within a short drive to Horseneck Beach, Westport Point, the local vineyard as well as the North Dartmouth Mall. The ferry to Marthas Vineyard is 20 minutes away and it is an easy drive to Providence or Cape Cod. There are many wonderful restaurants serving the local flavors within a 15 minute drive. It has all the amenities including AC, WiFi, W/D, nice appliances, large freezer/refrig, as well as a large yard for the kids to play in and abundant local wildlife. It has upper and lower decks on which to enjoy the awesome sunsets over the River. The owners have always been gracious and accommodating and any issues that arose during our stay were promptly and professionally resolved, We would highly recommend this rental home if you would like to enjoy the serenity and beauty of Westport, MA.

Thanks so much for sharing your lovely getaway with us. The area is just spectacular; the beaches and the weather were total perfection! It was a hot week so the AC was appreciated as was everything about the house. We were busy every minute with visits to the beach, winery, brewery, a local gallery and a shop just brimming with unique items made by the many local artists. The view from the deck was serene. And the area is perfect for biking, too. Maybe we can come back next year for a longer stay... a week was too short!!

We have stayed at this property every summer for the past several years when visiting our family in Westport and, as always, the the house was great. The place is so welcoming, with everything always clean and in working order. And we never get tired of the beautful views of the Westport River! We even used your record player this year (we weren't sure our kids knew what an album looks like give CD's and ipods!) We also really appreciated having the internet connection. Lastly, we highly recommend the 4th of July tomatoes at the farmstand just up the road!

You'd think we were in Ireland with the green farmland and old stone walls. We ate the freshest corn and blueberries! The girls loved shopping at Partners and ice cream at Grey's Tiverton Four Corners (visited when I was a kid). Although I grew up 20 minutes from here, I've never spent much time on the East river side. I shared many memories with my husband and girls and look forward to making many more with my own family. Whoever said you can vacation in your own backyard got it right!"
