Really enjoyed our stay here great veiws and peaceful location. All had a great time exploring the area would recommended to any family wanting a get away from the hustle and bustle of town.

Very beautiful and well maintained bach with an amazing & calming view. Situated in a quiet town across the road from the water. Ensure you purchase everything you need before arriving as the nearest store is abit of a drive back up. This definitely is the best deck in Aotea. Well equiped home with everything from basic necessities to extras that we needed for our stay . Beds were very comfortable. Sound system & big screen tv was perfect for the movie nights. Now the Rain shower head , bathroom automatic night light and the bidet - WOW! Perfect touches! Enjoyed relaxing on the deck with a cocktail & book while watching the husband fish across the road. Unfortunately he didn’t catch anything but surely the fish in Aotea are now well fed from all the bait he used. Managed to recharge the mind body and soul before heading back to the rat race. We definitely wished we could’ve stayed longer. Highly recommend. Great place to relax and recharge ! Thank you very much John & Kirsty for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

We have stayed here before....a beautiful peaceful location. The property has all the amenities one could want. The owners are friendly & helpful. John had a generator going for us as the power was out most of the first day we were there. We will be back!

Excellent spot to escape from everyday problems and relax. Prime location, next to the water front allows easy fishing or swimming Very quiet at night. Very comfortable accommodation with all necessities been taking care of. Highly recommended. Looking forward to visit it again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aotea. It was somewhere I had never been to before, but will certainly go to again. The property was excellent, clean, tidy and had a great view of the beach. Thank you Kirsty for sharing your home with us. We found the neighbour's to be equally friendly.

Great view, wonderful place to stay

We all enjoyed our stay, thw option of a sandy beach or rock pools where the kids favourite. And for me and hubby, was the quite and peace, a great break from the city. Our hosts where wonderful and provided all that we needed.

Fantastic stay in a great location. Even managed to pick up a nice sized trevally for breakfast surfcasting within 30m of property! Hosts were great to deal with and communicated well. Would definitely recommend

The property was once the land of many tupuna who once walked back in time, and shared history with our host so we appreciated the learning knowledge of the area.....so recommend his property to others who want a place to relax rest, and just take it all in. Great location and views Host (John) had great communication and was very welcoming. The bach exceeded our expectations The highlight was catching a fish across the road from the Bach. We will definitely be returning. Very hard to leave and wanted to stay longer

Loved our 7 day holiday. The house has everything we needed. Wonderful hosts. Great views of the ever changing tides. OK fishing...for some! 😉 Extremely quiet and safe. The only thing I would change, is to have a toilet in the downstairs bedroom, as there is no internal to upstairs.

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights over the school holidays. The house was spotless, we had everything we needed and owner John was super friendly and went out of his way to make sure our stay was a memorable one for us and the kids. A great place to fish and spend quality family time. Thank you SO much!!!

Awesome place to stay, wind down and reflect. Definitely recommend staying at this property. Cats that reside on premises are super friendly. Love the views from the deck. Beach walkable distance and even caught a few fish off the beach.

Great relaxing weekend away

I could have stayed forever - this place was amazing. The view, the property, the town, I had an awesome time here and I can't wait to be back. The host had excellent communication, he made things easy and was very welcoming. I couldn't rate this place highly enough. As mentioned I'll definitely be back with my family - see you soon!

We loved staying in Aotea. Was a new area for us and the house and the spot it is in, did not disappoint!! The house was perfect for our needs and the view amazing. The deck on the front was perfect with it's lovely vantage point. The house was as described, everything was clean and tidy and had everything we needed.

We ended up not staying as when we arrived the place was not to the standard we had imagined based on the photos we saw and we feel as though the cat staying in/around the house (one of our friends is really allergic) wasn’t made clear enough on the listing itself prior to booking (it was only made more explicit when we got our information pack a few days before arrival at which point we couldn’t apply for a refund). May be a great getaway for some but it wasn’t what we had expected personally from the initial listing.

So good to be in a tranquil space out of the city. Relaxed environment with space outside and by the water to do what you want. Excellent hosts, John and Kirsty and can't leave out Marley the cat.

Loved our stay! Location was absolutely stunning. Outdoor area was perfect being covered in was awesome when it was raining and there is even an outdoor heater.

A stunning location and home! Everything you could think of was there - in the home and outside! Quiet, isolated, warm, beautiful, old school community, modern facilities, awesome bird song, sound of the water, great walks, spiritual place with Maori significance- loved it!!!

It was an idyllic spot to relax and unwind, so close to the water with uninterrupted views of the harbour.
