Whether you enjoy outdoor adventures or just getting away from real life for a few days, you will find it at Canaan. Weigh 2 Cool is a great place to stay - centrally located in the valley, near hiking, biking, wilderness areas, both ski areas. Shopping and local restaurants are a short drive away. The unit is very well outfitted, is clean, has comfortable beds and seating, and has plenty of room to relax for a few days. The online description and pictures are very representative of what is in the unit. The Best of Canaan staff were very helpful and pleasant and I highly recommend them. Overall our time at Weigh 2 Cool was a great rental experience from start to finish.

Reviewer Comments: house was very clean and well equipped with the necessities needed for comfort. location was less desirable because we did not have access to dolly sods. Dusty roads to and from were an issue with the need to get car-washes frequently. Was looking forward to have some time In the hot-tub, however the hot-tub was not able to be used because of the cover which was very heavy and the design of the deck area did not allow it to be removed and stored with much difficulty. Owner really has to get a new light weight cover. I voiced my complaint to the office staff when turning in the keys and she said she would send me a refund for the hot-tub fee since I was unable to use it. Our dog came back with a light case of fleas. our dog is a house dog and has been seen by Vet frequently and has never had fleas.

Trail Runner's Retreat was just as advertised! We arrived a little late, but were easily accommodated by the property management team. We always prefer to travel with our dogs, and this home was especially welcoming to the fur babies! The location can't be beat for skiing at Timberline, which we fully enjoyed! The hot tub was especially appreciated after the slopes We hope to visit again!!!

The house was just as advertised...fully equipped kitchen, hot tub was relaxing after a long day of skiing, and a short drive to Timberline. After 12 inches of snow it was a nice surprise to have the driveway and road plowed early the next morning. We look forward to coming back.

We have stayed at many rentals over the years but this was a favorite! Great location for my trail running husband and our dog. Trails are a short walk from the house. There is also a nice fenced deck that we would have used more if the weather had been warmer. The house was incredibly clean and well organized. The fireplace starts with a flip of a switch and the hot tub was lovely with morning coffee or after a day on the trails. While it was just two of us this time it would be great for a family. We will definitely rent this property again.

My husband & I came for a get away in early November. The location was great for hiking in the area. The home was very clean and with comfy beds. Best feature was the private hot tub!! The home was spacious and bright. The host had maps of the local sights. The neighbhood was VERY quite. West Virginia is a hidden gem. We will be back!!

We enjoyed 3 nights at this wonderful home away from home.... lots of wonderful little extras like coffee pods, creamers, extra blankets and access to cleaning products if needed. The home has absolutely everything we needed and was so relaxing! Our dog enjoyed all the space and being so close to nice trails made his year! The hot tub was amazing after hiking and horseback riding! Our 7 year old daughter loved the little book nook and the games! Thank you for such a wonderful home away from home stay!

Rental was great clean had almost everything you needed we will be returning easy check in and out. It would have been nice if check out was a little later than 10 considering what was expected for renters are do before check out. We didn't mind but you need to get up a litter early in morning or start the nite before. This was the first time I've had a list like this We did every thing on the list and I'm a little confused We washed the towels we used striped off the bedding that was used I guess this the new standard way . Plus we paid a cleaning fee . So all in all we did have a great time and the place was beautiful. Thing is when we got there the first thing we did was pull out our own towels and yes we travel with disinfecting spray and wipes. So you get the idea

Fantastic property had great furniture, very clean, dog friendly, and was ready to be stayed at with no hassle. I plan on returning.

This was an amazing rental! It took a bit to get to dolly sods but for the price and amenities it was totally worth it! The hot tub is covered so it can be used rain or shine. Everyone slept well, and I loved sleeping on the twin bed on the second floor - one of the comfiest beds I've slept in, in a rental cabin! I love that there was a TV in my room as well, and there was a TV in the other rooms too. The house comes with puzzles, a board game or two and lots of movies on DVD and NetFlix/Hulu so there is lots to view. The fireplace was super nice and really brought the living room together for a super cozy atmosphere. It was 3.5 hrs away from our home but the affordable price and stellar amenities plus super cozy beds makes me want to go back! The rental company was super responsive and answered all my questions. Key pick up and drop off was a breeze, and they made it super easy to find as it was on the way to the cabin. I will certainly keep this place in mind for a future vacation! Everything about Trail Runner’s Retreat was perfect for our family! Well stocked (the coffee was an added bonus), super clean, and great location!!! We did a short hike from our front door in the mornings, and then drove 15-20 minutes to gorgeous hiking for the rest of the day! The hot tub and fire pit were extra nice, especially for the kids!

The cabin was just what we needed. It was cozy with a beautiful fireplace and a hot tub to relax in, plus a very well stocked kitchen! The book with the twin bed was fantastic, my teen chilled there listening to music. The area provided great hiking! -very clean - easy to teach the management company - dog friendly - Most shops and some restaurants open on Thursday and not open Mon- Weds. Granted we are still in Covid and it is off season.

My boyfriend and I loved our weekend getaway! The place was very clean and had everything we needed. It was such a nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hot tub was great as well! I would definitely recommend.

It was only half filled when we got there. they came out the next day and took care of it so no worries.

My college friends and I rented this property for a long weekend together. The house was absolutely perfect and had everything we needed and more. We loved winding down in the hot tub and catching up. A few rooms and misc furnishings have even been updated since the photos were taken so the house was nicer than expected. We also appreciated how dog friendly it was because our pups came too! Thanks for helping make our weekend together easy and comfortable!

The house was exceptionally well equipped and exceptionally clean. All the necessities were provided for the first few days and the coffee was an unexpected delight.
