Sunset Dream made our family vacation feel like we were right at home! The home was spotless you couldn’t have forgotten anything because they had it all there. From every household item to everything you would need for the beach. The location is perfect close to the airport, local shops, center of Tampa, and Clearwater Beach. Jax and Mickey responded to all my messages quickly we will definitely be back! Thank you both for allowing our family in your home. ❤️

This house was amazing! It was spotless and had everything we needed and more! The owner was very quick to respond to our questions. The pool was amazing. My kiddos spent most of their time in it. It was great to be able to walk to the end of the yard and throw a fishing line in! We could but have asked for a better place to stay for my daughter’s senior trip!

We absolutely loved our stay. We came to Tampa for our daughters college graduation. I don't think we will want to stay anywhere else the next time we come to Tampa. Thank you Jax for letting us stay.

Jax place had all the amenities and was close to everything! Owners were very responsive as well! The home was clean, beautiful, peaceful neoghborhood and neighbors. Lots to do including pool, fishing, firepit, and grilling. We really enjoyed the screened in porch at night! So relaxing. They really thought of everything!

Have been looking forward to this holiday for a year now, and as I have been to Florida and Tampa many times, I had high expectations. The place never disappointed,it was lovely , clean, had everything we needed for our 2 week holiday . Plenty of fishing off the Dock , and caught too many catfish and Stingrays to mention ( squid worked best ) fishing on the bottom . The hosts were amazing , and lovely , and could not do enough to help. Neighbors were polite and quiet, all in all ,,, WE LOVED THIS PLACE 😁😁💞

The home is in a quiet and safe neighbourhood and grocery stores are close. Owner response is quick. The house is in fair condition. This is not a 5 star resort. From the day we arrived to the day we left there were issues with the pool. We felt the water was quite low when we arrived. When I contacted the owner he advised: “Yes, the pool water seems to be leaking somewhere. So, please fill as needed and the pool heater will keep it to the correct temperature”. Now this became our responsibility and I am sure this was known before our arrival. Bikes are listed and they don’t have any. When I asked where they were stored the response; “I'm sorry, we have not replaced the bikes yet, as they were not brought back. I forgot to update the VRBO website, as I updated ….”. Last I checked the listing still states there are bikes. The “handyman” was to come to replace a light bulb. No one came. They have no one in Tampa that they can contact to do small odd repairs. As advised by the owner when asked. The house is tired. From broken cupboards, frayed carpeting, dirty ceiling vents and flooring that is lifting (tripping hazard) and more. It was not at all what we expected. Others has given this property 5 stars. Based on other properties we have rented this does not compare.

We stayed for the month of February 2023. The check-in process was seamless and the keypad on the front door makes entering and exiting a breeze. We walked our dog at least twice every day and rode our bikes throughout the neighbourhood. We can definitely confirm that the neighbourhood is quiet and safe. The back yard is fully fenced which is perfect for a dog. We really liked the big lanai, the outdoor pool and being on a canal. It was great to have a car port to keep our vehicle out of the sun. The new fridge, stove, washer and dryer are very nice. The owners are very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We were very comfortable staying at the property and we can recommend it. Enjoy your stay!

Honestly, I could go on and in about this property... it was absolutely beautiful and my family enjoyed ot tremendously. The house is perfect for a family and having the pool and scenery made it even better. Everything is in close proximity, the neighbors were friendly and helpful and I can say we didn't have to bother the owner but when we did it was always a quick response. You have the comfort of home while on vacation we were sad when it was time to leave. My husband loved the lighted palm trees as well I think they are half my pictures. This was a wonderful experience for us overall and besides our family outings it was nice to have the chance to be with our friends and family whom reside in Florida. We can not thank Jax and his wife for allowing us to make this the most remarkable vacation for our family. We will be planning a trip again in the near future.

Great location to Tampa proper, Florida aquarium, Sparkman Wharf and the Riverwalk area. Price is great for the location and the property - it is reasonable and the location is right. Recommendations: more ceiling fans would be good. Only one, in the master bedroom. The lanai is a relaxing area, the fan was appreciated and was a great place to relax in the morning and evening. The pool was a bit warm and the electronics, although rarely used, were a bit complicated to use. All things considered, this was an enjoyable stay and appreciated the understanding of Jax when my son hit the panic alarm (so sorry!) would recommend this home for anyone interested in a quiet neighborhood and easy access to Tampa proper.

The home was fabulous with pool and wide open kitchen area and the rooms were comfortable. The location was 20 mins away from Downtown Tampa. We ate at Ocean Prime which is one of best restaurant chains we visit in several cities. I would recommend this location to anyone. We will probably come back soon. It was amazing place to stay with my family for 2 weeks. I would highly recommend to anybody wanting to do some boating fishing and sight seeing in North Tampa Bay.

Due to our circumstances, Jax was very accommodating and understanding. The house was beautiful with a heated pool and canal. The house had everything you needed, clean and cozy. Restaurants are close by. If you like to fish, go to The Desoto Fishing Gulf Pier versus Skyway Pier. April weather is amazing!!!!!

Clean & well-stocked house, quiet neighborhood, central location. Our family lived this place and its different hang out options and activities (pool, fishing, walking). Owners very responsive. Will definitely come again in the future.

The location of the property was central to all the attractions that we wanted to access. Home had all the items that we needed to feel at home. Heated pool was fantastic! Lanai was used every single day and night. WiFi worked great and being able to link my phone so we could have music on the lanai and by the pool was great.

Place was clean, property manager was responsive and everything was as advertised.

My first time staying in Tampa. . This is a nice place with alot of great features and a very attentive property manager.

The house and property are even better than photos. The house was spotless. Everything you could possibly need was available: pots, pans, dishes and utensils. There is a very nice laundry area with newer washer and dryer. There was a closet with suntan lotions, first aid kit and other necessities that you might have forgotten. It was one of the most relaxing and fun vacations we’ve had. Fishing off dock in mornings, swimming in the pool or just laying in sun. We spent a lot of time in the lanai playing cards or the board games that were available. There are so many good things to say about this home. The neighbor to the left was very nice when I stopped him with a few questions. The house to the right has the sweetest Great Dane named Blue. It is a very quiet neighborhood. The location is close to many areas of interest. Raymond James is 10 minutes. 30 minutes to Clearwater and John’s pass. It is within minutes of Publix, Walmart, Target and a bait store. Watch the YouTube videos they send. They are very helpful. The book on kitchen counter has a lot of information about the home and places to eat and see. Pizzitalia has amazing food. TBBC also great food and is about 5 minutes away. We will definitely be back in December. We are also hoping to get a shorter trip squeezed in towards end of July. I would give this more than 5 stars if possible.

Sunset Dreams is not a 5 star resort. It can be. Kitchen needs organization. To much clutter in the cabinets .There are too many dishes in cabinets, not enough silverware and coffee mugs. Pots and pans need to be replaced. Bedding could use to be replaced and the pool area needs some work. The black around the edge of the pool needs to be addressed. The pool service poured some chemicals that took care of some of it but needs more attention. Also the master bath had an issue with tiny ants running along baseboard sink and shower. Don't know if the rain caused the ants. Overall I rate it as 4 star.

We enjoyed our stay . The owners and property manager were amazing! 5 stars !! The house inside and out Sparkling clean 5 stars !!! The pool I’m giving 2 stars because there was mildew around the edges inside the pool and green with algae on the bottom of the pool !! The tv situation was something we were not used to only because in the living room you have to point the controller over your head and too the side I’m giving 2 stars for that ! The WiFi on the last day kept buffering I’m going to give that 3 1/2 stars! But I reached out to the property manager and he got back to us and solved the problem 5 stars for that !!! My son fished every day and didn’t catch one thing so maybe not the right time I don’t know. We did see a gator so watch for that !!! The neighbors, the one on the left side is an eye soar for sure they live like pigs and don’t keep their property up !! Nasty !!! The neighbor to the right is amazing!! They have a Great Dane named Blu , he’s intimidating at first but , very nice dog and I had my min pin with us and it was never a problem!! Sweet dog sweet neighbor!!! They kept their eye on the dog at all times and kept their property very clean and neat ! ! Overall I give this property 4 stars because we had a beautiful home and amazing owners!!! And the price point is very affordable!! The inside is just beautiful!!! Location amazing!! 5 stars for that!!

Good stay host always available and accommodating

This house was the perfect vacation spot for our family! The pool was the highlight for everyone during our very hot stay! The open kitchen/dining/living area made the space feel open and inviting to everyone, and the covered porch was great to stay away from the bugs! We had an issue come up with one of the bathrooms, which was resolved immediately by the owners. We were very sad to leave after our week, and hope to return! You will not be sorry to stay at this perfect home!

Clean and modern space with everything we needed to have a great stay. Enjoyed the lanai, fishing and kayaking on the canal, BBQ, very conveniently located by airport and other tourist attractions. We even were able to see 3 manatee swimming in the canal.

My boyfriend, brother, his girlfriend, my mom, my teenage sister, and I stayed for 5 nights, and we all absolutely loved this house. It is very well stocked with all the essential items one needs, and the common areas are inviting with a big comfy couch, and a beautiful kitchen. The bedrooms were good sizes and the closets came in handy (they even provided hangers). The beds were a bit firm for us, but we are used to memory foam mattresses so we're probably just spoiled. The bathrooms were good sizes too (very important for a plus size person like myself). My only small complaint about the bathroom is that the shower was just a tiny bit on the narrow side, which would have been fine except the shower curtain kept wanting to glue itself to me. The most beloved part of the home was the back yard. That screened in porch was to die for (and so were the sunsets from the back yard, btw). We all gravitated there throughout the trip, and once we were in there we almost didn't want to leave to go anywhere else. The pool got a lot of use, and the fire pit was great too. We made s'mores on two nights, after swimming. Truly an amazing way to end a day. Another cool touch is the canal in the back yard. It was nice to watch people drive by on their boats/jet skis, and we enjoyed peeking around back there to look for animals (fish, manatees, gators, etc). We did see a fish jump out of the water, but no other large animals, but what we did see were a bunch of little crabs that came out around sunset. The only real complaint I have isnt even about the property itself, but instead about the house next door. The neighbor (I believe they actually live there and aren't vacationing) had a huge dog. Fairly certain its a great dane. I love great Danes, but there is only a small fence separating him from the back yard which he could easily step right over, especially since his back yard in raised concrete. He isn't a super happy, tail wagging, wanna be friends kind of dog either. He is clearly well trained though, because he never came over the fence (seemed like he might a couple of times). I just wanted to mention it for anyone who may be afraid of dogs, or have a small child or small pet. But overall, I Highly recommend staying here, and we would love to stay again ourselves.

The house was very nice and had everything we needed and more. Jax was always available for any questions. The location is excellent, the neighborhood quiet and the neighbors very friendly. Highly recommend La Creacion Bakery, Shaker & Peel, and Craft Street (both in Oldsmar). Hope the house is available again next year!

Great location, clean and well-furnished house, heated pool, and on a water canal so fishing if desired

Please read this in total. We were very disappointed in this home. Upon arrival we were overwhelmed with a floral odor only to find out that there was a glad plug-in in each room all will a different scent. We had to remove them. open all windows and put a fan on. Additionally there was mold and mildew on the porch ceiling. After two days of fan usage the perfumy smell was still quite strong and we had no choice but to leave early as my cousin is alergic to perfum and mold (not the smell of cleaning products as we were told it was). The house to the right was a hoarder home and the house to the left had a great dane that popped all over their cement yard. Having said all this, the house itself was clean, the check in was easy, there were treats for us upon arrival and the pool was as depicted. The canal is stagnant. I wish we would have received a little support from the home owner for this situation but they were unbending.
