The guesthouse has everything we were looking for to relax a couple of days after few weeks of treks. Comfy bed, clean room and bathroom, hot water (not really needed cos it was very hot weather). The food is also very tasty with fair prices. Maybe the views are not the most impressive but still sunrise is very nice and you also have a nice view from the restaurant where you can chill. Also in a more wet season views of the rice fields can be wonderful. It is about 15/20 mins nice walk from the don det bridge but it was not a problem for us. Also good price for transportation tickets to continue your trip.

The accommodation faced the road and fields and not the beautiful river. The description needs to include this. All rooms face away from the river.

At the end of the road where the accommodations are, so very few people around. Strangely, the cabins face inland rather than towards the river but the outlook from the restaurant was pleasant

We cannot begin to thank Mr Thong and his family for their hospitality. We ended up staying at Chanhthida Guesthouse for two months as we were there when Covid-19 began to get serious and the borders closed. Mr Thong and his wife always made us feel comfortable, kept us informed and for our two month stay there we felt truly at home. We will forever be grateful for their care and kindness particularly in such an unprecedented time. The guesthouse is in a beautiful setting by the water with regular visits from water buffalo. The room was meticulously clean with hammocks outside where we did a lot of reading. The attached restaurant is lovely, our top recommendations would be the vegetable and egg noodle soup, fresh spring rolls and stir-fried lentil curry. We could not recommend the guesthouse enough and we look forward to returning some day. P.S. Mr Thong we got home safe and hope you and your family are safe and well.

Located outside of the busy part of the island, at the very end of the Main Street which makes it super nice and unique location. Lovely and simple rooms; just what what you need as a relaxing bungalow stay. Appreciated the flexibility of the owner as we had to leave one day earlier than planned.

We had an amazing at this guesthouse ! The rooms are big, extra clean and smell really good ! Bathrooms are exceptional and A/C worka perfectly. The food is fabulous, cheap and extra tasty. We only ate there all the time. The owner and his family are extremely sweet and helpful. We booked tickets with them to go to the Cambodian border for a way cheaper price than anywhere else on the island and we don’t regret it, the service was excellent and the owner took us himself to the pier by his own tuktuk. We wouldn’t hesitate a second to return there !

The guest house is in a beautiful location just a few minutes walk from the main tourist area of Don Khone - very quiet and relaxing. There is a lovely restaurant over looking a pretty stretch of the river where you can watch water buffalo soaking during the day. Food is simple, tasty and all freshly prepared. The hosts are really helpful and friendly. Rooms basic but clean and comfortable.
