We reached Goa two days earlier than the initial plan. Soon after we reached my wife had a medical emergency and was hospitalised. While she was at the hospital, myself, my mother, my daughter and my two pet dogs moved to O'Palmer. We had to extend our stay for 12 more days as my wife had a doctor's follow up two weeks after her discharge. We made the request to Mr Rui Pereira for the extension of stay for the two rooms and he happily accepted after checking the bookings. The place is really nice, a stone's throw away from the beach. It has ample privacy and the rooms are spacious. Sitting in front of our cottages we could enjoy the gentle sea breeze and sound of the waves. We could simply walk down to the beach take a dip, no need to get on the main road, no need to pack a lot of stuff. There are only a few staff members but all of them are very helpful and nice. The security guard Bablu helped us by arranging the dhobi for washing our clothes. Our pet dogs(well trained) could roam around free in the open spaces near our cottages making this vacation enjoyable for them too. After their own adventures they would come back and stay indoors. Our pets are our family too and we are happy we found a really nice pet-friendly place. Without doubt we would stay at O'Palmer when we next visit Goa. Great thing, this is not a corporate operated place, but operated by simple and humble humans, and it was like staying with an extended family.

There is nothing that I didn't like. Infact, what I found out was that the place actually takes reviews very seriously and, before I made the booking I found some people complaining about the noise in the rooms. But we figured out the cottages were modified for better noise cancellation etc, and it doesn't cut a lot of clutter and environmental noise. But you need to accept that Goa gets very noisy during few days. So in short there is nothing to complain, please do not expect this is a five star hotel, it is a beach cottage, and really nice awesome beach cottages.

1. Irritation due to music from beach shacks. Until 1AM, even on WED/TUE! 2. A pack of fluffy friends are barking. Especially in the night. 3. Cheating. Room a4 is not a sea view room.

La cercanía del mar, nevera y tetera en la habitación que siempre es un gusto poder tener algo fresco y hacer café. Las vistas a la playa y el personal siempre muy amables

The cottages are just behind the beach and are very spacious.

Beach parties on the weekend were very loud and prevented us from sleeping. Cottage without A/C can get hot and stuffy. (We booked last minute so there were no more A/C cottages left.)

L’emplacement est idéal, le bungalow est simple , on avait « l’option » eau froide uniquement . On bénéficie d’une petite terrasse sympathique où boire un verre en admirant le coucher du soleil. Le raccourci vers la plage est dégoûtant, à éviter !
