The Winemakers Hut is located on a working vineyard, and Chris was happy to talk about his vines. The accommodation was not expansive, but just fine for a couple, and with all the amenities we needed (but note, no hot plate or oven for cooking ... but you can cook pasta in a microwave we now know ... and there is a BBQ). The location out of town was fine, and probably a plus seeing how busy Hahndorf is! A leisurely walk takes about 40 mins into the centre of the town. Chris and Maryanne were very responsive and helpful when we had some issues. Overall, highly recommended.

Perfect hut for a couple in a lovely area.

A small intimate cottage that provides all necessary amenities. The courtyard provided a tranquil place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or breakfast listening and watching all the Birdlife. Close to all the areas tourist spots whilst away from the busyness. We really enjoyed our stay there and felt very welcomed by our hosts who were also very helpful and communicative before and during our stay.

The property is located just outside some beautiful small towns in Adelaide Hills. The hut is equipped with everything you’d ever need and the hosts are very easy to talk with. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for time away from the city!

Really felt at home in this little winemakers hut, which in reality is like a chalet set amongst the conifers and vines. We enjoyed the peaceful surrounds and beautiful gardens. Perfect location in the heart of Adelaide Hills and pleasant walk into the beautiful Hahndorf. The weather went from sweltering so we appreciated having the air-condition and headed to the beach. They next few days was chilly so the log fire and cosy rugs were perfect to relax and sip our wine from the nearby wineries. Lunch at The Lanes winery was expensive but a must do. We stayed 6 nights and still wanted to do more. Keen to stay again and explore more of the Barossa and surrounds. Thanks so much for your hospitality x

We were looking for somewhere where we could take a quick break over a weekend away from home. This place was perfect, we booked and didn't have to worry about much else. A quiet and relaxing area plus great amenities.

We loved our stay! Everything you need including a bbq and fireplace! There is so much to explore in the area, it was the perfect place to stay! Highly recommend.

Loved our stay at the cottage, everything was spotless on our arrival with all the facilities you need for a relaxing stay. Chris & Maryanne are wonderful hosts and a lovely touch they introduced themselves to us shortly after our arrival. The location is fantastic too being only as short drive, or 45 minute walk into Hahndorf itself.

What an amazing little hut! So peaceful and relaxing surrounded by nature and beautiful serenity. Such a homey feel to the hut and the most incredible place to both sit with a morning coffee and an evening wine. So beautiful and well presented. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

This is by far the most thoughtful stay we have ever had! Chris and Mary Ann have left no stone unturned with the Winemakers Hut. It has everything two people could ever want for a weekend getaway - from carefully curated bathroom essentials to handpackes breakfast essentials and the comfiest, coziest living space! The little fireplace on the inside is perfect for winding down at the end of the day too! This little hut is also located a 10 minute walk to Shaw & Smith Vineyard where you can book a wine tasting without worrying about having to drive back. The area around the hut is also wonderful for taking leisurely strolls that we really enjoyed doing. Highly recommend this stay and we can't wait to come back!

Absolutely loved our 2 night stay at the Winemakers Hut. Extremely clean. Heating was on for us when we arrived. Fireplace was prepared and ready to light up for the night ahead. Couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our anniversary. Will look to book there again!

The Winemaker's Hut has all you need for a relaxing stay in Adelaide Hills. It is well appointed and you can tell that a lot of thought went into creating this cozy space. With a central location and friendly owners, I highly recommend this hut for your stay in wine country.

A little Awkward at the start as the first person we came in to contact with didn't know why we were there. Then weet Maryanne who was very welcoming and accomidating, allowed for the second car to stay at the property which made things a lot easier for us. Interior was nice and neat peefect for a few days away. There was a slight buzzing noise every 20 seconds or so that came from a garden appliance outside the hut, made for a restless furst night but after that you ignore it, but i was always buzzing away in the background. Great location that was quiet and central to everything we needed. Would stay again if in the area.

A very enjoyable stay! Hosts excellent! Despite poor weather we used and very much enjoyed the outside area with its log burner. Would come again but it’s a long trek from England - however it is one we would recommend to our friends and daughter!!
