Mount Rose Cottage, 73 Hartop Road, Torquay, Babbacombe/St Marychurch
Le mont Rose est un charmant cottage entièrement rénové de trois cents ans avec un jardin clos (agréable et sûr pour les enfants) à proximité de la mer, des plages, des magasins, des pubs et des restaurants de St Marychurch et Babbacombe. Il est à seulement dix minutes à pied des magnifiques Babbacombe Downs et du train / ascenseur jusqu'à Oddicombe Beach.
Le chalet pittoresque est étonnamment spacieux avec une grande cuisine familiale entièrement équipée, un salon confortable, deux salles de bains; une en bas avec une baignoire - idéale pour les enfants - et une en haut avec une douche. Les deux chambres sont spacieuses et ont de nouveaux lits; une avec un lit double et l'autre avec deux lits simples. Tous les lits ont de bons matelas qui sont destinés à vous assurer que vous apprécierez votre séjour. En bas dans le salon il y a un canapé-lit, avec un bon lit double gigogne.
La maison est meublée à un niveau élevé donnant le confort du neuf avec le charme de l'ancien.
Le stationnement est gratuit sur la route sur laquelle se trouve la maison. L'arrêt de bus pour vous emmener du centre-ville au port de Torquay est à 30 mètres de la maison, et il faut 12 minutes pour se rendre au port.

Attractive location with attractive kitchen. We only missed the WiFi.

We enjoied our holidays in the cottage. The kitchen is very well equipped and even without wifi it was never boring. Our kids were happy about the board games and the dvd collection. Also the short way to the beach or the town center of st. Marychurch.

We’ve just returned having stayed in the beautiful Mount Rose Cottage for our family break in Babbacombe. The host and key handler were fantastic- great with communication and responding to messages. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms were of good sizes, having two bathrooms is always a bonus and the beds were really comfy! The cottage itself is only a 10 minute walk into the centre of St. Marychurch (up quite a steep hill). However, there’s a bus stop a few doors up the road which has regular services into St. Marychurch or Torquay. Parking could be an issue as there’s no driveway or designated parking spot for the cottage, but we were able to find a spot just up the road each day as others have mentioned in their reviews.

Wow what can I say. Property was lovely.
Lots of space for the children to play in the garden.
Kitchen was well equipped. Games for the children to play.
Beautiful sized rooms.
7 people in a 2 bed and isn't didn't feel over crowded.
The bathroom downstairs has a lovely deep bath.(children loved that).
Good distance for everything beaches shops takeaways.
No WiFi made this break all the more relaxing.
Really looking forward to booking again.

This was a lovely place to stay for a trip to the area. It has a nice secluded garden - a shame the weather was not warm enough for us to make use of it. The description was accurate (the only thing we couldn't find was a coffee maker - luckily we had a one mug cafetière so just made multiple mugs from that). As others noted there are yellow lines outside, but we normally got a parking space on the same road. Just once I had to walk 5 mins back, but that wasn't a great problem.

The Cottage is very pretty and surprisingly spacious with the benefit of two bathrooms. There is a lovely secluded raised garden which is a lovely suntrap and we were entertained by a lovely little Robin every time we sat out.
Location is perfect with it being within walking distance of the beautiful beaches of Oddicombe and Babbacome and the shops of both St Mary Church Precinct and Babbacombe and the model village.
The only down side is that there is NO onsite parking, rather there is on street parking which can mean parking some distance from the house.
A beautiful property, at a really good rental price and somewhere we would stay again.

Nowhere nearby to eat out, so fine if you want to stay in and go to bed early but if you like a bit of life on your holiday you need to drive to Torquay or further afield and book any restaurants well in advance.

A wonderful cottage a credit to the owner it has been tastefully renovated mixing old with new. I can’t think of anything negative to say about this 300 year old cottage although it would’ve been nice to know about the history of it.
The wine, chocolates and biscuits were a nice gesture after a long trip, my only gripe and it’s only a small gripe would be there’s no parking in front/on the property but there’s plenty on the streets nearby but don’t let that put you off.
If I’m in Torquay again I’ll be definitely booking this place again.

This is such a wonderful 300 year old cottage! Beautifully renovated. Two huge bedrooms, two bathrooms and a livingroon with a pull out bed. The kitchen is fab. The garden is exquisite! There is no parking but lots of on road parking up the hill. We got there late after a car blow out and nothing was too much for the host. There was wine, flowers x 2 and chocolates, biscuits and fresh towels waiting for us. Honestly, I loved it there!!!! Thank you so much. Best holiday in a long time.

Had a great stay - no WI-FI was actually great for family time and 4G was strong when we wanted to reconnect! Well located for all sorts of trips only drawback is that parking is a nightmare ! Husband got a parking ticket because the double yellows are faded and he didn’t see them in the dark - other than that a really lovely house

The area was more residential and built up than we thought it was a delight to come back to the cottage and chill, relax and just be. I came with my daughter to be together and relax, it was just perfect. We made the most of the 3 full days we were here, enjoyed visiting Cockington, and the zoo. Thank you so much Valerie & Justine
