Over the River and In the Woods
We were a Thanksgiving gathering of eight with our ages ranging from 6 to 90. I know I speak for all when I say there was
nothing to suggest for improvement. Reservations and advance information complete and responsive to requests. The
photography raised our level of expectation but it was exceeded by the actual experience. Nothing had been overlooked
in providing for our comfort and anticipating our needs. Thank you Chris, Charles, Maria, Fred, and Kaweah Falls for our
memorable Thanksgiving.

Beautiful and Relaxing Retreat
October 22-25, 2015 Guests #243
Chris was super responsive as we were booking our stay, and provided us with a comprehensive guide to the local area. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we greatly enjoyed the beautiful home and incredible setting. Everyone had a fabulous time—3 families including 3 toddlers and two 5 month old babies! We arranged for Maria to prepare dinner on two nights and they were so delicious. Both her and Fred were so wonderful and helpful!
We enjoyed sitting by the river during the day, and relaxing around the campfire in the evening. We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores! The children loved running around the sandy beach and dipping their toes in the river. We saw several black bears during our stay. We didn't want to leave!!!

Incredible Journey in Nature!
What an incredible home! Thank you so much for allowing our family to share in the wonder and beauty of Kaweah Falls! The pictures, truly, do not do it justice. Our family will cherish the time we spent here. We saw at least 4 bears - different bears! - during our stay! That was the icing on the cake for us - our kids were fascinated! We are only sad we had to leave and sad to learn we are among the last who may stay in this beautiful home. But we will treasure the memories!
Thank you!

What a magical place! Everything was so perfect, relaxing and breathtaking!
We saw every creature great and small at this house. There were times it was too unbelievable at how truly beautiful everything was. I kept pinching myself to wake up.
Chris, Maria, and Fred — you are all amazing and truly wonderful people. Thank you for allowing us to pester you all and make us feel at home.
We will never forget our experiences and are so grateful we found you. We hope our paths cross again soon.

Beautiful home
Beautiful home. Welcomed with fresh baked muffins by Maria. Loved the location-so close to Sequoia National Park. Enjoyed the beauty of the backyard and the peacefulness of the home. Would definitely recommend to family/friends. Chris was very helpful and so easy to work with. We had a question and he responded immediately. Here is what our daughter wrote in the guest book

I don’t know where to start - This beautiful house was amazing! Me and my family were so grateful we had 3 days to enjoy this house. The backyard was so cool!! I put my feet in the river it felt so good! Me and my dad saw baby trout. They were so cute!! Anyway, if I had to pick my favorite part of the house it was….ALL OF IT!!!!
I wish I could stay longer.
Thank you Chris for everything ❤️

The perfect place for a family reunion.
Everything was perfectly arranged to make us feel welcome from the moment we walked in - the muffins and fruit, the dog bowls. We have had a great time wading in the creek, toasting s’mores, playing board games at the table, visiting the park, swimming in the swimming hole - and just relaxing in all of the great relaxing places. We were sad to leave and hope to return.

Third Time & Still Charmed by This Amazing Place
Our 3rd stay at Kaweah Falls was accented by the Rough Fire in Kings Canyon. We were not deterred and there was still plenty of water in the river here. We love this property and this area and the fire and smoke in the park only made us begin to look in new directions. We took a hike out South Fork Drive that was absolutely lovely and we were so pleased to have found an extraordinary lunch spot accented by waterfalls. We love coming here. It was another great and relaxing week!

Such Peace!
August 13, 2015
After a long and boring drive from San Francisco we arrived to find an oasis of beauty, peace and relaxation! The constant rushing of the water was so relaxing and meditative.! We all looked forward to returning home after
our long, hot days of expolring the Sequioa National Park.
Thank you for making the home and property so lovely and inviting. Maria and Fred were so helpful and such wonderful cooks. We enjoyed the lovely Mexican meal made by Maria on our last evening here.
We hope to visit this paradise again…

My favorite part was the creek and pretty house!
Adela, age 10
I really enjoyed the watering hole up stream, the nat. park, Moro Rock and the General Sherman. But my favorite part was the spending time with my family by the fire and the river. But mostly the house was the best!

We barely left this wonderful property!
To Chris & Charles,
You two have created an oasis of curated charm and profound peace. We learned how to “Survive in the Woods,” i.e. one should come to Kaweah Falls. Every little thing has been carefully provided, and we treated it like home. We celebrated a birthday here with wine from Paso Robles and ate excellent skinny pork chops from Village Mkt. with garlic & chiles and crisped on the grill. There seemed to real need to leave the property -- except for our excursion up to General Sherman's tree. We didn’t build a fire - at this time of year - but can imagine returning in the fall to do so. The River: Well, we have a profound new appreciation for the preciousness of our water here in the Great State of California. Swimming and wading and splashing and boulder-hopping were, hands-down, the highlights of an excellent week!
Thank you for sharing!

PS Don't miss the wonderful farm stand, called Sequoia, on the road up to Three Rivers, after leaving Visalia and just when it begins to wind up into the foothills. It's on the right.

Exceeds expectations!
I have stayed at quite a few "trophy" properties through VRBO,but this was our favorite.
Its rare that something exceeds ones imagination but this home did and much more. Upon entering the locked gate and walking down the stairs you are greeted by lush vegetation and the wonderful song of the Kaweah River.
Our party consisted of 4 adult couples. All of us were treated to nicely appointed rooms with good beds and private bath facilities.
The outdoor "rooms" are incredible and having an open pit fireplace next to the river was our favorite. As the sun set and the temp dropped, it made for a terrific spot to gather after dinner and reflect on the days events.
Chris Keller, our host, has compiled a comprehensive assortment of extras on the property to insure our comfort. His communications are quick and sensitive to the varied needs of his guests.

Unique and Special Haven
This was one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had. This property is so unique it has to be seen to be believed especially if you're a Frank Lloyd Wright fan. There were so many intimate places to relax on your own or join the others in your party in the wonderful common areas. Everything is as advertised and more. The owners' suggestions in emails and in the guest book are spot on. Our highlights were the bear sightings in the Park but the river deck in early AM for coffee and evenings for relaxing after the day's activities was the BEST! We cooked in most nights and the kitchen has everything you need. Thanks for opening your home. The Getz Family

From the moment we arrived we were in awww! Style, grace, nature and warmth embraced us and memories were forged from the moment we stepped foot on this amazing property. What an incredibly beautiful place to stay. The river was so wonderful and restful. The house was amazing from the architecture to the decor. The appointments were perfect and very objet d’art unique and beautiful.
It’s like another world being here, and you have thought of every possible need for people who are away from home.
Thank you for such a great experience. I will remember the “river house” for the rest of my life.

Had a great time in the home and in the apartment downstairs. Swimming in the river and warming up by the fire pit was a blast. Also, hid a million dollars worth of gold in the house. Good luck finding it!

My absolutely wonderful wife, Danielle, brought me here for my 50th birthday. And while I know I sound like a 12 year saying this, this is the coolest play ever!!! The house is stunning!! WOW-just like pictures and amenities were awesome!
It was hard saying goodbye to this beautiful place. You definitely do not get views like this in Texas. Our group was so grateful to experience the Sequoia National Forest and the beautiful state of CALIFORNIA!
We saw bears, climbed to the top of the hump on the Lakes Trail, and TRAVIS PROPOSED to Amanda at 9200 ft! She said YESS!! This trip was one to remember FOREVER!
We will be BACK! See you soon!

Heaven Redux (3rd visit, fourth already scheduled)
May 23rd -
Really - it’s time to leave already?? How is it possible that (8) days have passed since we walked in the door again (guests #157 - #184 & now!!)
Your home never disappoints the huge expectations we look forward to all season long, knowing it’s just a few short months till we are welcomed back.
This stay was just as inspiring & relaxing, and this time we actually got into serious walking & hiking (not bad for two seniors…). Thank you Chris & Charles for sharing your oasis with us. And, of course, the stay was only enhanced with the care & affection of sweet Maria & awesome Fred - you guys perform magic and it is so appreciated.
This trip was even more special. Sharing times w/our kids here - showing off the house as if it was our very own - that’s how we feel as soon as we walk into the grounds.
Can’t wait to come back & re-charge. We don’t forget for a minute how lucky & privileged we are to spend time at this magnificent slice of heaven -
Peace - love

Amazing "tree house" on the river!
Thank you Chris for sharing your exceptional home with us and the Bow Wows. From the moment we arrived and Fred welcomed us, the transformation began. Before we descended the stairs we could hear the sound of rushing water and the anticipation of something wonderful waiting below did not disappoint. I had read the complimentary reviews before we arrived but no one could describe your retreat beffitingly. The setting on the river, the feng shui of the house, the perfect weather all combined to fulfill the soul.
We live at the ocean and that too has wonderful qualities, but we thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful oasis you have created in Three Rivers.
We thank you for sharing and our puppies thank you for the BEST vacation ever!
We don't want to leave but just the thought of returning makes it easier. We are hoping to do just that this coming fall AND next spring.

Great House in a Beautiful location
We loved the house and grounds! Our group utilized all it had to offer and cooked on the BBQ, had bonfires, fished the stream and played horseshoes on the sand!
There was something for everyone. We plan to return next year - thanks for a wonderful holiday!
