Great Mtn views, private setting, Eagle River 20 minutes North of Anchorage
Nous l'appelons notre cabine en Alaska. Son calme, confortable, a de superbes vues, et à 5 minutes en voiture de Eagle River pour l'épicerie ou une bonne tasse de café à Jitters (notre endroit local). Il y a de superbes randonnées et des vues sur des kilomètres à quelques minutes de la maison de notre maison jusqu'au sommet de Skyline Dr. au mont. Baldy. Ou asseyez-vous simplement sur le pont avec un verre de vin en soirée et admirez la montagne Hiland ou par temps clair au nord pour voir Denali. Eagle River est un endroit idéal pour des excursions d'une journée au nord de Palmer, de Hatcher's Pass, de Big Lake ou au sud d'Anchorage, d'Artic Valley, d'Alyeska et de la péninsule de Kenai.
Notre maison dispose de 4 chambres et 2. 5 salles de bain. Les 3 chambres principales ont toutes des lits king-size et la dernière chambre est notre «salle d'atelier» récemment rénovée avec 2 lits queen-size. La maison a une sensation confortable à l'étage avec un plan d'étage ouvert. Il y a laveuse / sécheuse. Il y a aussi une allée plate facile pour toute voiture, ou même pour garer un camping-car.

The place is fantastic! It is very well laid out and has all the amenities you will need! No corners were cut and it felt like we walked into a home away from home. Yes it’s in Eagle River but the drive to Anchorage is short and easy. A very private location with lots of windows and an incredible view.

Not much to say beyond my first experience in Alaska being amazing and the property was just that as well. Spacious, clean, amazing views, along with having the bedrooms well separated from the communal areas. Couldnt have asked for a better trip or a property experience.

The property is was fantastic. My family had a great time and we were able to be well separated by the bedrooms and main living spaces above for sleeping and quiet time. The kitchen worked very well our daily cooking and the living room and loft was a great place for movies and playing games. The views from the deck were simple amazing overlooking the valley and bay. It snowed while we were up there, and the kids were able to sled down the road bank. Eagle River is a quant little town and has great access to nature centers, Anchorage, and up to Denali area. This is place is a gem.

Excellent house for gathering out- of-town family and friends to celebrate my son’s graduation. All bedrooms are cozy and comfortable on lower level; upper level living space is open floor plan and spacious;
gas fireplace is so warm; kitchen, dining, entertaining, gathering upstairs with large, expansive windows; office/internet outpost in sun loft. Clean, sleek, modern. Deck with patio lighting, sun chairs, amazing view of Cook Inlet and Anchorage. Driveway is flat with plenty of parking. Such a jem. Owner provides quick responses to all questions and communication.

Oh my goodness.....this was a fantastic VRBO experience. Lovely and clean cabin-esque feel in an idyllic Alaska setting!! This house is an excellent choice while visiting the Anchorage area of Alaska. The house is very comfortable and enjoyable to stay in. The views from the house overlooking the mountains and the city down below are stunning both during the day and in the evening hours. The house is well appointed and the owners are available via phone should you need them. We will definitely rent again on our next visit to Eagle River, AK.

Amazing House

This home was so perfect for our first Alaska stay! We were there for a week for our son’s wedding and we had lots of room for our kids, grandkids and my mother to stay comfortably. The fourth bedroom was great for the kids, they loved playing in the window seats. The fireplace made the living area a great place to gather, very cozy and comfortable. The views were amazing, the city lights down below at night and the mountains in the daytime. Beautiful! We had two moose in the yard one day! Eagle River had some great restaurants and easy access to groceries. It was a good central location for all we wanted to do.The owners were quick to respond to any questions and to make recommendations for our stay. The home was very clean and well kept. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back someday!

Comfort With Views!
This home was so perfect for our first Alaska stay! We were there for a week for our son’s wedding and we had lots of room for our kids, grandkids and my mother to stay comfortably. We loved the location of this property and the views were incredible. Just out of town enough to have privacy and room to explore, but not so far you can’t make a quick trip to the store or restaurants. Great proximity to JBER.

Absolutely perfect!
I stayed with four of my siblings and my father as a special trip for dad, and this house was just what we needed! Great location to get into anchorage, drive further along the coast or go north. It was also perfectly comfortable with great views for when we needed a few hours or an evening to take a break from adventures. The rooms were all big and comfortable, and the deck had a beautiful view. Kelly was very communicative and helpful. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful Eagle River Mountain Retreat!
We hosted a family reunion to Alaska and loved absolutely everything about this stunning home in the quaint town of Eagle River! The location was perfect for day trips North to Mirror Lake or Eklutna Lake, or South to Girdwood, Whittier, Seward, and the Kenai. The family enjoyed the local feel of Jitters, a coffee spot, that was right down the hill, and the convenience of 3 grocery stores within a few miles. The house itself was spotless, the views stunning, and the layout and functionality perfect! The host was very prompt and provided excellent detail and assistance as needed. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone traveling to Alaska~ Thank you for making our experience unforgettable!

Alaska Wedding
We had four couples stay at the house. There was plenty of room for everyone and the views were great.. We even saw a bear, but missed seeing the moose. Communication with the owner was very good and I would highly recommend this property.

Amazing views
This was a wonderful property. We had views from all three floors. We had two couples staying together and we both had enough room to have some privacy. We also love the Jacuzzi tub. One of the couples did several hikes while the other couple just snuggled on the couch. It was perfect for the four of us.

Alaska vacation
Alaska vacation,
I just have to say that everything from the location to the home was absolutely beautiful. The views were stunning, and the last night we even saw a bear walking by there. Communication with the owner and check in and out out couldn’t have been better. I would highly recommend this rental for anyone going with a large family or group.

Multi family stay
We had a excellent time. Multi families stayed and we had our own spaces and still had lots of community space for spending time together. Great views and quiet neighborhood. They had several nice details. Very convenient to get to Walmart or Fred Myers for all grocery needs. There are a few nails on the deck to be cautious of. Over all very happy with our choice to stay at eagle river mountain retreat!

Our stay was a wonderful experience. The home was spacious, comfortable and provided great views. We were able to make several excursions during the day and always looked forward to returning to our "home" , kicking our shoes off and enjoying a good night's sleep, ready to go again the next day! Perfect setting for our family gathering!
This Eagle River home was perfect for our special family wedding group! The layout of the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen worked very well for our large group; and, the view is breathtaking from high above Eagle River. It was a great location for our day trips to Girdwood, Seward, Talkeetna and Denali...although, we remain in the 70% Club that didn’t get to see it! We made this memorable trip from Texas and hope to be repeat visitors at this special Eagle River home again soon. Thank you, Kelly!

Kelly and Molly were easy to deal with. The home was spacious and comfortable and had nice welcoming touches like fresh flowers and a pudding cake! The pantry was well stocked, which is always nice. There were lots of helpful books and brochures about places to go and things to do. The location was perfect for local adventures and as a starting point for further ones. All in all an excellent experience!

Pretty place to stay!
This was exactly like the pictures shown. The area is quiet and beautiful surroundings. It was about 30 minutes from downtown Anchorage so sometimes a drive to do activities south of Anchorage. All the bedrooms are downstairs and the stairs are fairly steep for a big heavy suitcase (like I brought! Lol) The House is spacious and well maintained. Great washer and dryer that we used to be able to pack lighter for our trip from Illinois.

Impressive view
Our family of seven enjoyed the space and comfort of this Eagle River home. We are glad we chose outside of Anchorage and outside of congestion. The house had everything we needed, including a pantry with staples to get us going. Everyone especially enjoyed the large deck. It was also nice to have laundry facilities so we could pack lightly. Lovely visit.

7 of us stayed for 7 nights and found this home to be a great place to stay during our various day-trips around the Anchorage area. Very open floor-plan, private with a great view. We would rent this again if returning to the area.

Great home for a family vacation.
We came to visit for a family vacation. There were 8 of us total. The house was perfect. We had the master bedroom set up with 3 beds like shown and it worked perfectly for our family visit. We saw wildlife throughout our week at the house as well as during our site seeing. (Bear, mama moose and baby, coyote, and several cool birds including an owl.) We did several day hiking trips to various glaciers; Matanuska and Exit Glaciers are amazing. The hikes weren’t terribly difficult and the views were breathtaking. We also spent a couple days driving down to Seward and Girdwood. Would recommend doing that if you have time.
One thing we’d change is how much food we bought. We over estimated our time at the cabin and unfortunately wasted more food than we meant to. So maybe get the basics and then get dinner stuff as you go. Walmart is literally just up the road.
